My mama wouldn't buy me another so I had to use scotch tape to put it back together (same thing happened to her first album, I killed that cassette. lol). So Cold (93,406) by Licia from USA In honor of that big 5-0 for MC I'm revisiting songs again. Right now I'm stuck on So Cold for some reason. I normally only listen to the intro of the song then I turn it off. After playing the whole song 3 times back to back it's a pretty decent song. I wasn't expecting perfect or 90s vocals, but I did want decent. She's had plenty of moments where she has sounded better with her current vocals. That just wasn't it. To me AYNAF is a simple song and the video that they decided to go with fits. The unreleased video seems like it would have been too extra. I still want to see it though. I'm crossing my fingers that I'll eventually get that CD/DVD combo full of unreleased songs and videos. Come on team Mariah you finally gave us the St. John concert. Give us unreleased material. I wasn't sure when I first came across the remake because if how different her voice is from Anita's, but she did good. Another remake she did was Weak by SWV. She killed that one as well. Yes I watch the Masked Singer. I'm still not understanding how Chaka and Dionne got eliminated so early. I've actually been mad since Patti's elimination last season. Lol. I bet those people have so much more unflattering things they could show or sell. She should treat whatever they are holding over her head like she did the bipolar announcement. Her trying to ignore it and make it seem as if nothing wrong is the biggest issue that a lot of us have. There's a huge possibility she won't gain any newfound respect from non fans or people who just love to hate her, but I think it would go a long way with us. I personally am tired of hearing all the unofficial vocal coaches/fans with their assumuptions on what the issue is (drinking, touring, nodules, smoking, she's manic, etc etc) when she can shut us all up with an honest discussion. I've been at peace with her vocal changes for years and like you I do believe she's still a capable singer, but I'll never be at peace with her constantly avoiding the topic and fans continuously giving her passes to avoid it.
