Yes. I saw the scar during the Charmbracelet concert too. Her legs were so beautiful by the way.

Yup she did that pose since day one in front of the public eye. You don't have to like it, for me it's not a big deal. I'm just happy if there are real clothes. Lol. Because I'm so tired of too much skin. MC with casual clothes is something I like. And a pic with tea can't be wrong.

What a great post Nick. I completely agree with everything you wrote. "I hope she stays classy as her younger self, with the confidence of her older self. Those two Mariahs combined can make her still the best until the end of time." So true.

I thought the same. Beautiful and very youthful. Music Box vibes, I love it.

I also love "the Wind" and recommend it. Please try it again Licia. When I listened to Emotions for the first time I didn't like it too. For me it just didn't sound like a "Mariah song". But since quite a long time I started to love the song. I love her jazz voice, the lyrics and the whole instrumental. But it's true it's not easy to listen to for every day. A little depressing because of the "theme", but "The Wind" is really such a great and emotional song. That Mariah was able to sing it like she did at such a young age makes it even more precious.

Ah okay, I did not know it. "Sweet Soul Odessey" sounds cool. It would fit perfectly.

Just for laughs, "Tiger Queen". I would like a short title like "Caution". How about "Soul Sessions"?

It's really a hard and strange time. I'm at home since three weeks, we are allowed to go outside to walk alone or with one other person. Music really helps to have some other thoughts at home. I wish you a Happy Easter too and all the other lambs even it's not a normal one. Please stay healthy everyone.

Re: RIP Bill Withers (93,495) (93,500)
by MusicfanJ from Germany

How I love Bill Withers. Last year I bought three Cd's because I always loved "Just the two of us" and the phenomenel "Ain't no sunshine". "Lovley day" is so wonderful too. Makes you feel good. I also love "Grandma's hands", Blackstreet did a very good sample with "No diggity", but the original song is pure genius. "Use me", "Who is he", "Harlem", "Hello like before" and "I want to spend the night" are my other favourites. RIP Bill Withers, thank you for real music with heart and soul. Your music will stay forever.

Perfectly written. Every single word.
"As this example shows, mega mega rich people telling the very not wealthy to donate money when they alone could sort out a huge chunk of the problem is the contradiction. And actually quite an obscene one."
That ist so true. I do believe when this pandemic will end, the world won't be the same. And the people who are normal will think twice for what they spend their money. (Exlude expensive concert tickets and so on.) The new 20ies are definitily not golden at all. But people will realize that this superficial, highspeed life is the wrong way and not healthy.

"Listening to music from when we were those ages reminds us of those perfect, fragile, precious moments in time we can never go back to."
So true, great post Andrew. That's why I choose Daydream too. It was a time you described so well. Daydream was the perfect soundtrack to my life back then, and it will always have a special place in my heart.
Although I know those times won't come back, I do miss them. So I'll listen to Mariah's Daydream to escape at least for a while.

"Lie about one year?" That's what I think too. It makes no sense with one year. 5 years okay, but not one. She's born on 27.03.70. That she doesn't like numbers is another thing.

Yes, he is one of the few young musicians I can listen to with joy. I love his retro soul and funk style. But he can do every genre like pop, reggae, rock. That is something he has in common with Mariah. And the melodies.

I do own the album (since the day of release). But somehow I almost forgot that remix. If I listen to Charmbracelet I usually stop the album with "BOTH".

I just rediscovered this remix. Mariah truly is not only the queen of Christmas but also of remixes.
I wish we could get another album with remixes [on] one CD and the other CD with happy sounds like Fantasy and retro 90ies style. Great double album for the summer. One can dream. After that I'm ready for the Jazz album.

Wow thanks for sharing. The way she looked in 94, like a real princess, so beautiful. I could watch her talking for hours. Lol. I wish we could see the whole video but the few scenes are also great. And then Fantasy-MC, that's the time [a] became a fan. So much beauty, so natural, that's the Mariah I love. Starpower 100%, the rollercoaster video is epic. If I think of all the unreleased stuff oh my, I want that all. I'm greedy if it comes to Mariah. Lol.

Thanks for the link. I have the "Devotion" album and I really love her music. Great voice, great artist with class. How rare is that today. Didn't know that there's a new song out there. Fantastic.
It's good to know that are still some new songs for grown-ups and not only for the school kids with the horrible beats that all sounds the same. There's also a new singer from UK, who sounds a bit like Amy Winehouse (forgot her name something with C?) who defenitly brings back the good old soul.

"Her" style in the short clips [is] also not my taste. The stylist could really do better. Mariah with volumenius hair, classy dress or jeans is just gorgours and beautiful. But I do concentrate of the song. Lol.
