The acapellas (78,385) by Terna from Nigeria
This should be one of the many treats she was talking about in the anniversary video she posted yesterday. I'm loving every moment of it. "Outside" in acapella just took the song to another whole new level for me and let's not even get started on "Babydoll", those harmonies and that bridge so intense. You're practically levitating mid track literally. Lol. Thanks Mariah for the treats we're loving the healing your voice is giving us. Oh, and happy 20th anniversary to the album that made me a certified Lamb - Butterfly.

Re: Angels Cry 100 million views (78,007) (78,016) by Terna from Nigeria
That's fantastic if I recall correctly, "Angels cry" and "Hateu " were released as one of the first ever Vevo videos. Slowly but steadily all her videos are getting Vevo certified.

In defense of Mariah doing the absolute bare minim (77,840) by Terna from Nigeria
"The phoenix who rose from the ashes of a public meltdown with one of the greatest comebacks in music history." I disagree with this phrase from the article, well part of it. Mariah has the (all caps) greatest comeback in music history point blank period. Haha.

Re: One Sweet Day (Mariah only version) (77,441) (77,452) by Terna from Nigeria
This and "Endless love" Mariah Only versions used to be around on the Internet way back. It's good to see them reappear again. The conviction Mariah sings with. Wow. And without the vocal layers of Boyz II Men you can hear her harmonies clearly. She's second to none.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey performs in final Las Vegas residency show (77,341) (77,352) by Terna from Nigeria
Thanks again Eduoard for this. You're so much more mature than the silly ones on here asking for a "delulu" icon, and calling names. Smh. To each his own they say, like you said this is not a debate and name calling and [...] make one look stupid isn't my ballgame. Let's talk and share opinions like the adults we are. If you think your opinion is more valid so to speak, state it backed up with facts. Not just going on, on a whim or hearsay.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey performs in final Las Vegas residency show (77,330) (77,351) by Terna from Nigeria
What you described is basically nothing new Mariah hasn't done before when a new era is about to begin, regardless of who was managing her. When she as I would put it, gets into "Mariah Carey" mode. Even when she was perceived a has been (Charmbracelet era). So we're basically saying the same thing kinda. She doesn't have any studio album out yet so why should she be in full promo mode? Heck it's not even "Butterfly" anniversary time yet. So far since 2014 it's been one successful venture, though not new music related after another. The Beacon Christmas shows, the recently concluded Vegas shows(which ran for two years), the very successful 2016 European tour, Mac cosmetics (the most successful ever), the Dubai shows earlier this year, the trip to Isreal for Premier cosmetics, the Launch of her own label, etc. Is this your definition of a career being in a mess? Geez.

It's called believing in the talent that is Mariah Carey, and what she's capable of. Some of us here still have faith in her. You [censored] should try it some time.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey performs in final Las Vegas residency show (77,309) (77,322) by Terna from Nigeria
Think of it this way, the wardrobe choices, weight gain and lackluster performances are all part of the plan. The haters may be having a good laugh now, but they're gonna eat crow sooner than they think. A very different Mariah is gonna emerge at the end of this year.

Re: At the risk of sounding ultra positive (77,241) (77,284) by Terna from Nigeria
Haha. You're right, Mariah sings the same song a thousand different ways using a thousand different melodical improvisations making every performance different, fresh and unique. Vegas is an example of that. She's always full of surprises.

Lol. I see you adopted my tactics. I too nitpick at messages and totally avoid those gremlins like the plague they are. They have nothing to say that I wanna hear about, or be an audience to.

You should know by now, I'm not one to mince words to you just because you're the webmaster. Been coming here since year 2000. I was a teen and coming here was like a ritual everyday but now, not so much I have social media for that. You need to hear what's said about your website on social media (Facebook especially) before you come for me, go do your research. What happened? How did this site become like this? And you're coming for me? Because I pointed out what every new person who comes here and manages to stay notices immediately, that this website is just a den of haters and monitoring spirits of Mariah Carey. You guys are no fans of hers for if you had any iota of love in you for her, you would keep shut and instead say a prayer for her. Yes something seems wrong but how does bickering and complaining help? I haven't been on this site for over a month and quite frankly speaking, I didn't miss it at all, I even actually feel better, no daily dose of negativity nor back and forth senseless arguements. I discovered Mariah Carey in 1995 long before I did your so fan site and long after your site's gone I will still be a Mariah Carey fan.

Thank you JD for that post. Honestly, you're just 17, but sound much more mature in your ways of thinking and the delivery of the message, even more so than some 30 somethings and 40 somethings on here. Those ones are the worst, they've single-handedly given this message board a terrible reputation so much that the new lambs stay away from here and I think that's a real shame. I'm glad Mariah's still gaining fans in their teens like you, that's beautiful, shows you the power of this woman's life, voice and music. She's legit the one. Thank you once again for being the voice of reason on here. Lots of love.

Re: The Emancipation of Mimi / photoshoot / LA Reid (76,970) (76,987) by Terna from Nigeria
I love LA Reid for that and boy am I glad she did, the reshoot, the whole theme produced the most epic album artwork ever for any album cover by a female artist. And a befitting one for a title such as "The Emancipation of Mimi". Damn. The stars aligned for that era. And only for Mariah. Lol.

Re: Jazz album (76,850) (76,881) by Terna from Nigeria
Yes you're right, I know absolutely nothing about Jazz and am also uninterested to know. Quite frankly it's just not a genre that interests me at all. Jazz isn't commercial, neither were the figures heads of Jazz like Ella and Sarah Vaughn. etc. We're in contemporary times and were talking about a contemporary R&B commercial (all caps) singer - Mariah Carey. Sure R&B could be traced as having roots in Jazz, but do you actually think the common listener is interested in all that hoopla? I just stated an opinion on Mariah Carey and a Jazz album and that's a no for me. Just no. "The Wind" and "Subtle Invitation" are stellar as a result of her voice, vocal performances and the exquisite lyricist she is, not really the music. Take those out the equation and the music loses that zest only Mariah can bring.

Vevo certified. (76,847) by Terna from Nigeria
"When You Believe" is Vevo Certified. A song from when I was a new Lamb is getting so much sudden love. Wow. Ok, I have a confession to make. I had a "When You Believe" tape for my Walkman. Haha, nothing on it just the song, on both sides (that was until I got a discman in 2000) and back then being a teenager I had a lot of time to watch TV, so I used to record music videos on VHS and everytime I changed to a music channel and the duet was on I'd hit record even if the song was already halfway gone. Lol.

Re: Jazz album (76,821) (76,834) by Terna from Nigeria
Thank you Hasenan, you get what I'm trying to say. Jazz is for has retired beens with ugly rough voices, her voice is too pretty and distinctive for Jazz. I'd prefer Gospel or Neo-Soul.

Re: Jazz album (76,807) (76,812) by Terna from Nigeria
Now you're talking. A Gospel album would be so much more welcoming and more true to who she is at her core. I feel it's about damn time she made one. Mariah could easily (all caps) write the next Gospel classic staple every gospel artist would be dying to cover (who knows her signature song maybe). She has with inspirational songs ("Make it Happen", "Through the Rain", "Hero") so why not Gospel?

Re: Jazz album (76,805) (76,811) by Terna from Nigeria
47 is old? Um ok, your opinion though. Plus she looks years younger than that 47. Old would be 70+ not 47.

Re: Adele canceling tour (76,801) (76,803) by Terna from Nigeria
I just read that news article. And I thought of Mariah and how she used her voice extensively for a whole decade plus - and somehow it didn't falter nor fail her whilst having nodules and still continues to give even today if well prepared. Mariah is a singer of many gifts. And stamina comes to mind as one of the gifts as I read this article. And considering the fact that all her songs are difficult to sing. It's mind boggling. How does she do it? She must know her voice well.
