About Bill from the UK: I love Mariah more than you do.

London Daydream Tour Attendee.

Re: Chapters (95,715) (95,719) by Bill from the UK
Yes that is a great album as well but I prefer the more piano based approached of the first three. FTCGH felt a bit overproduced (Raspberry Swirl being the main culprit). But Playboy Mommy is one of the saddest songs I've ever heard.

But back to Mariah and to address the call out made against me for Boy (I Need You). Firstly, that made me lol, and secondly, I wish I could say I do listen to it and like it, but I couldn't stand Cam'Ron's version when it came out and my heart sunk when I heard MC was basing her song off his. The high pitched cartoon Boy refrain, the over production, the whispery vocals, the 6 minute length, it's all so unnecessary. When she squeaking through the 9th chorus I'm like (caps) just end already (end caps).

It's definitely grouped with Did I Do That, Crapfinity, Why You Mad, and Infamous. Whether it tops that chart though is another matter. I'm just so grateful none of the Nightmare Era songs made it onto any album. What a blemish in an otherwise great discography that would be.

Re: Chapters (95,700) (95,709) by Bill from the UK
I really enjoyed the book. It was a bit overly political at times, but her stories of working the bar scene for years was great, and the meanings behind her songs was great. And the audio book was brilliant as she was a great narrator. As for my favourites, her first three albums are pretty much untouchable. I'd have to probably go with Under the Pink, as Pretty Good Year is my favourite song of hers. When it bursts into raging grunge for ten seconds, then dampers down again - it's extraordinarily moving.

Re: Snippets (95,698) (95,705) by Bill from the UK
Love the pic. Here We Go Around Again was the best for me. It sounded like I Want You Back by the Jackson 5. Mariah's heavenly 1990 voice. Just wow.

Mariah vinyl in the UK (95,695) by Bill from the UK
Hi gang. So you're aware, Amazon are selling Mariah's reissued vinyls in the UK, except for the coloured variants exclusive to the US retail stores of course.

Re: Skip/repeat (95,691) (95,694) by Bill from the UK
(spits wine out over screen)

You skip Someday on Unplugged? Get out of my sight lol. Also clarification: I didn't put Boy as my CB skip song, as I genuinely forgot about it as it has been deleted and erased from all playlists and versions of CB I have uploaded to iTunes.

Re: Chapters (95,687) (95,688) by Bill from the UK
You jest, but the spread sheet is actually set up ready and waiting to be completed to track the differences. It will divide into chapters and then log the time stamps (audio) or page numbers (book) depending on where the variance is. This is why I booked next week off work lol.

Re: MadTv - Thinning camera (95,676) (95,685) by Bill from the UK
I'm a big fan of Mad TV and have watched this clip many times. Has absolutely nothing to do with, and no mention of, Mariah. It is funny though.

Re: Chapters (95,681) (95,683) by Bill from the UK
I will be turning the page as I listen to Mariah speak. I did it with Tori Amos' book and she had additions on the audio book not in the written book, and vice versa. I will collate any differences and report back.

Still Out Here On My Own (95,668) by Bill from the UK
This song is all I have played since it was released. It has been on non-stop repeat. My poor neighbours. It's got a whole other level to it when it's 2am and you're on the last of a bottle of red. Thank you Mariah for this gift.

Re: Out Here On My Own on repeat (95,653) (95,656) by Bill from the UK
Even her voice breaking slightly on the last "help me" is so incredibly moving. And I'm glad she didn't use a high note, it doesn't even need it. The emotion in this song is overwhelming. I just can't believe this didn't make it onto Glitter but Want You did. It is honestly one of her best remakes and best songs. And to think, the album has unused songs from the debut, Emotions, Music Box and Daydream. Lord thank you.

Glitter 2.0 (95,634) by Bill from the UK
Great to see the message board buzzing about "OHOMO" (lol). I made a new Glitter playlist. In short I axed Loverboy Remix, moved regular Loverboy to track 1, and had On My Own as the closing track. It flows great following after Twister and is a fantastic ending to the album. I'll likely switch out Loverboy with the Firecracker version when that arrives. I still can't believe this has not been out the vault until now. This has been the best MC30 Friday treat so far.

Mariah's insta story (95,604) by Bill from the UK
Okay so Mariah uploaded a clip on her Insta story for Out Here On My Own showing the master tape sleeve. There's a song called "So, it's just the way", which I assume ended up being "Want You", but there are also two redacted tracks. Mariah this is cruel lol. If there is more songs from Glitter please put them out. Especially the rumoured Prince duet.

Re: Out Here On My Own (95,587) (95,603) by Bill from the UK
I loved the snippet, but the full version is absolutely beautiful. How has this been locked up for 20 years? It is beyond belief. Mariah sings it wonderfully, such passion. Was this meant for Glitter do we think? This would have been an incredible album closer if it was.
