The remix didn't do much for me in terms of making the song better and she sounds scratchy and far away. Maybe this is to appease her fans to say she's still releasing new music but this is not going to impact the charts at all. And it's not new music. I think the chorus is too busy and her verse seems very reminiscent of an old song of hers I can't quite place it. I don't really see this song doing much for Mariah. May help Muni get some international lambs. I don't know what is Mariah's team's strategy. Instead of doing these side remixes that's not doing much for her, she should focus on her own projects. Mariah may perform with Muni Long tonight. If she does perform, it would explain why the Tuesday release date and why we are still only hearing snippets today. I heard another snippet on JD's X page with MC's whistle notes and a smooth ooh ooh in the intro before Muni Long comes in with the first verse. MC comes in with the second verse singing new lyrics reminisce of the fast singing she did in WBT second verse. This maybe the remix and live performance we have been waiting for from MC. Mariah reminder (106,450) by Randy from USA As someone who has been hard on MC about not addressing her voice, I was in my feelings this past weekend and went in listening to her music and rewatched her interview with Oprah in 2020. I forgot all the things she's been through. Being dirty and unkept. The girls calling her the N-word and mulatto bitch. Alison throwing the tea in her face. Alison trying to have her pimped out. Alison offering her coke. Tommy holding a knife to her throat. Her mother having her arrested. Her mother telling her you'll never be as good a singer as me. Yes, I'd like to know what happened to the voice. Yes, I'd like her to stop lipping and start doing things in her current register. But I am glad this woman is still alive and here with us. People have not made it through life going through less. I can't say I'll always succeed but I will try to give MC a little more grace in the future than I have in the past. When I saw my search come on my screen, I saw two names in addition to JD that made me smile. I saw that the insider account said that MC is working with Skillrex and Solange Knowles. I always thought The Distance was MC's favorite song and Skillrex was her favorite producer on Caution. Solange Knowles could give MC that Alternative R&B sound that I have been wanting her to do for a long time. Solange's Crane's In the Sky won her a Grammy in 2017. She also wrote Beyonce's Get Me Bodied. Check out her solo stuff and R&B song credits and see if her sound is a perfect fresh sound for MC. (Tuesday 21 May 2024; 02:46)

History is about to be made (106,447) by Shezz from Pk Excited to hear the remix though I am not expecting it to do much on the charts. It will boost the original's chart position and the remix will not be credited as has happened before. Of course I would love to be proven wrong but I don't think this is MC's return to Billboard just yet. Also, the fact that MC hasn't posted anything about it herself yet, I think shows that she is not expecting much and is doing this as a favour to support Muni Long and for JD. MC is busy putting the final touches on MC16. Robert Anthony you better believe it. She apparently got JD recently onboard to help her finish the album (Insider). I hope she has a proper plan and delays her Christmas crossover to December this year or releases it right after the holiday season and uses that momentum. Her mother was a significant presence in her life, and Mariah often praised her. It was her mother who encouraged her to say, "When I make it," instead of "If I make it." While Patricia may not have been perfect, she certainly doesn't seem like the monster Mariah portrays her to be. I had forgotten that it was a year later the MIAM was finally released. The infamous Wal-Mart leak really changed things in 2013. I am sure Def Jam was expecting #Beautiful to be song of summer. It sure had potential when it was released, but it just didn't have that "umph" it needed to rise higher on the chart. Maybe a summer TV series like ABC's Mistresses tie in would have given #Beautiful that high profile exposure it needed to be a bonafide hit summer song. (Thursday 16 May 2024; 04:52)

Mariah's voice (106,414) by Malcolm from Asia Remember way back 2016/2017 when we used to criticize every performance? I don't know but as I rewatched her performances, it sounds good to me compared to now. I know that she's not getting any younger anymore but whenever I see her Vegas clips, it's a bit sad to see her lipped almost 90% of the show and remember that she used to showcase her belts once in there few years ago but we didn't appreciate it as much that time. I think now is truly the end of an era where we will not be getting any "great belts" anymore, at least concert/performance-wise. I think she now accepts that her voice is fragile than ever that's why she's doing her best on the lipping with the rerecording of her vocals and better transition which I think is finally doing her good since the general public seems to buying it. Muni Long remix (106,405) by Shezz from Pk Same. This one has a video though apparently but of course it is a recording session video. Like the last two videos Fall in Love at Christmas and The Roof with Brandy. (Those are her last 2 videos right? Though the Brandy recording session video made sense.) Is MC's vocal technique still there? (106,407) by Edward from USA Mastering vocal technique without possessing a captivating voice is akin to honing skills in a field where natural aptitude is lacking. Technique alone falls short, if it were the sole determinant, Mariah would undoubtedly be crafting vocal masterpieces consistently, yet reality paints a different picture. While we have discussed her voice ad nauseam at this point, let's not venture into Delulu Land. The fluidity, clarity, and effortless delivery that once defined her seem to have been long gone. In hindsight, Mariah's involvement in the "Yes, And" remix missed the mark. Neither did she enhance the track nor did her signature whistle did the trick or sounded pleasant. Even though I'm not one of those "they wronged poor MC" fans, this seems to have been a set up. Ariana wanted her to be the loudest voice in the track, well, she was, but it didn't mean it was the best voice. "Made for Me" peaked at #20, but now it's sitting at #54 on the Billboard Hot 100. While it still retains an ascending bullet, I don't see how Mariah involvement would make it gain momentum.
