About Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada: Proud lamb since "Vision Of Love" 1990

Mariah posted that Infinity is out tonight (52,266) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
Who else will be immediately downloading? I have to say too, I think the dance routines for the #1's Infinity show are looking well put together. The Honey dance rehearsal is very cute with the clapping. Lol.

Way to go Epic / Infinity single cover (52,196) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
The label is really making it clear they are behind Mariah. I love it. Pushing for the single the last little while more than IDJ was willing or able to do. I think the single art is lovely. I can't wait for Monday. Thanks Lee for posting the link to the dancers doing Honey. So cute. Everything is looking good.

I love every track on her debut (52,142) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
Yes, the album is dated in that in some ways you can tell it was made in 1990, but seriously when you really think about it, don't tracks like "Prisoner" blow your mind? In my opinion it's so ahead of its time. I will join Bill and freak out if she does that live. Lol I prefer the jackswing remix to Someday, but I like the album version too. Sometimes I can't help wishing she would do "Love Takes Time" and "Can't Let Go" more often. I love "Can't Let Go" (I have noticed the whisper vocal too, Bill). Vanishing will always be one of my favorite songs to sing, and "All Alone In Love" and "There's Got To Be A Way" are just do representative of that era in time. Sigh just so good.

Thanks for the sweet comment the other day May (51,947) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
It's nice to see you posting your thoughts again lately. Really nice poster, Eric posted. I'm feeling really good about Epic/Sony amd the direction her team appear to be going in. Yay. And Bill, you are a sweetheart. Just saying.

My All is a masterpiece (51,837) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
My favorite ballad. So many layers in the arrangement. Her vocals are stunning and the lyrics are breathtaking. To this day My All/Stay Awhile and the club mix are two of my fave remixes ever. So good. That song is amazing along with ATYNAF and the incredibly awesome "Joy To the World" remix video. And I was listening to "Melt Away" last night, her lower register is like velvet. Such a great track. Life is short, guys. There's always something to be upset about. Happiness is a choice.

The general public (51,773) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
There will be a lot of people going to the Vegas shows who don't consider themselves to be "lambs" and do not own a copy of the original #1's album from 1998. I love going to live shows. Not that I go to them a ton, but on the handful of occasions where I have, I like to grab a keepsake from the show. That to me is what #1's To Infinity is catering to. I plan on buying a copy of the album. I do consider myself a "lamb". While it is true I already own all the songs. they are not available together on one compilation. For example, I have DFAU, but it is on the CD single ect and I have a similar scenario with TGIFY. It's nice to have them on one album as a collection without having to pop in the Rainbow album. I really don't think Mariah puts out projects to be disrespectful to audiences/fans. Yes, some who already own everything might consider this album a waste of money - that's cool. Everyone has a choice in terms of what they want to do. I honestly think this is more a memento for the Vegas shows.

I'm not dissappointed (51,758) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
I can sort of understand people wanting more new tracks on the album, but she literally just signed with Sony. It would be a different story if she had been with them for months, but she hasn't. I think it's a good sign she had one track to include, honestly. She's putting a show together, switched labels, overhauling her representation. Let's at least give it some time for the dust to settle, before writing the whole thing off as a big flop. This album is clearly to promote the Vegas show. It's not your traditional "album era". I'm already observing a huge difference in quality from her team, professionalism on her website in terms of updates and promotion. I get that people have concerns, but these things do take time, effort and people to get done. I'd rather have 1 quality song with a polished promotional effort than 5 rushed tracks, sloppy remixes and zero effort for promotion.

Shelly (51,678) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
I echo your sentiments. I feel we think very alike in many areas of life too. I really like the new cover and the homage to the original album cover. Team Mariah really seems to be bringing it (so far). They've made big improvements to her official website in terms of keeping it current ect (it wasn't that way for a long time). I feel really good about the move to Sony. Already, it feels like Mariah is with a label much more invested. Also, I think the "to infinity" is hilarious. It's so Mariah's humour. She cracks me up.

Welcome back Shelly / Nick / relationships (51,423) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
I haven't posted in a number of weeks. Just haven't felt I could contribute anything to the discussion. But it's really nice to see you back Shelly. I just want to make a comment with regard to Nick. I've seen a lot of people jump on him for things, and I just what to point out from a spiritual standpoint that every relationship is about choices from both people. Nick and Mariah came together because they chose to. Things evolve and change. I'm sure Mariah has learned a lot about herself because of Nick, and that's ultimately the point of any relationship, regardless of whether it works out or not. And, she has two beautiful children out of it.

Speech / thanks Shelly (50,953) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
I thought the speech was heartfelt. And the second video of the HRC performance is professionally filmed. Much better quality then the YT ones prior. I still enjoy this performance. No, perhaps it wasn't a textbook vocal every moment, but I watch her to enjoy the music, the performance, not to make a list of her mistakes. Sometimes, I think the debate over live vs lipping and dubbing has been going on so long that people can't tell when something is live.

Bill (50,925) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
I enjoy the Rainbow album. Funny enough, I had just listened to the Jay-Z version of Heartbreaker before I listened to the interview. I just love his addition to that track and have always wondered if they'd work together again. I think her cover of Against All Odds is beautiful. I think Bliss is underrated for what is actually accomplished on that track musically. Petals, well what can you say? To this day I still love "Thank God I found you". "Cry Baby" grew on me over time. At first I didn't like it. I really like the interludes on this album too.

I love Mariah (50,924) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
1) It has been coming for some time now, but I'm so happy she is officially singed with Epic.
2) I'm so happy, that Rainbow interview is amazing. I could listen to her riff about music and hooks and samples all day long and never get bored. Thanks so much for posting that, what I gem I enjoy it so much. I love the one from the Butterfly era that's similar.
3) I enjoyed the Hero performance, I thought the dress was lovely.
4) I am a Madonna fan, I love many artists for different reasons. I don't think discussion of other artists and their work is wasteful here, and I deeply appreciate when the discussion is handled in such a way that it isn't viewed as "threatening" to Mariah, or an attack on the artist. There's room for everybody.

Shelly / Lee (50,192) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
Your message was lovely and totally resonated. It's nice to see common ground on the board, even when various viewpoints are expressed. Lee, thanks for posting the My All performance from the Rainbow tour. That song is one of my very favorite Mariah tracks, and I love that performance.

Hahaha. That's cool May, I knew not everyone would resonate with the spiritual stuff. That's fine lol. You got the crux of what I was expressing.

Bill (50,040) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
Yup. (Re Looking In) That's honestly what it feels like watching her. I'm not trying to come off as some "know it all" (lol) It is just honestly what I feel watching her now. There's so much more going on beneath the surface, that the media and the public generally gloss over. She's clearly not happy with a lot. Sometimes big transition/change can feel numbing. People might go on a sort of auto-pilot, feel like they need to be doing something, but nothing feels the as it did, and you just don't know what do really. Especially if the person might be feeling disconnected or angry spiritually just in general. I've watched it first-had this year. My dad transitioned in the fall, and my faith has been the rock that has given me so much peace and comfort with everything. I know that although the form of our relationship has changed with him no longer "here" in the physical sense, of the word, he's with me everyday, because love doesn't end. It has nothing to do with the body, because the body isn't who we are. Who we are is spirit. That doesn't end when we leave the body. Not to get really deep or anything (lol) but my step-mom doesn't have that same foundation, so her experience of my dad's passing has felt very different for her. We know MC has a strong faith, but sometimes we just need time to go through whatever we need to go through in whatever time it takes before we're ready to say "OK, this isn't working, I'm ready to create something else in my life." I know some fans are frustrated, and just want her to "get it together" ultimately, even the most pissed-off angry fans just want to see her thriving. Otherwise, people wouldn't get so passionate in their opinions. Clearly there are some issues, and we can discuss what she should do all day long, but at the end of the day, it just has to play out. Everyone deserves compassion, even when we flat out disagree with whatever it appears they are doing (or not doing), as the saying goes about walking a mile in someone else's shoes.

Stacey, exactly (50,017) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
Watching her (as I said to Bill the other day), it feels like she's doing her best to cope through this time in her life. Although she puts on a smile and she might seem to be having fun and smiling up there with all those ad-libs, it truly feels like the opposite is Mariah's reality at the moment. She's human, not a machine - and as you said emotions can take their toll if we let them. Nathan was getting at all of this with his comments. Mariah is the only one who can go within and make a choice when she's ready, and she might not be ready yet. But, when she is, the world will know it. No excuses just the truth.

Baby (49,919) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
I really feel Nathan Morris's comments came from a genuine place. Truly. I did not take what he said to have malicious intent toward Mariah nor does it make him her doctor or her counselor. I consider myself a lamb and have since the phase was coined.

Edward (49,904) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
As usual, your light-hearted humor cracks me up. Lol. Reminds me of Mariah's wit. Remember when she joked in an interview about calling the album after Rainbow, "Unicorn" or something close? I can't remember the exact show she was on, but it was funny. Thanks for the laughs.

Bill (49,902) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
I can only speak based on how I feel, but for me it isn't about this "bad performance" or that "bad performance". Mariah could stop singing today and I will always be a fan. Her music has been the soundtrack to my life, and although I don't "know her", I've always felt a connection with her as a human being beyond the fame. People keep focusing on the career, the next album and the shows in Vegas. But, something just feels very off. Now, I'm not claiming MC is a raging alcoholic, I'm not saying I have all the answers, but I am feeling someone dealing with a lot. Doing the best to push past pain. We can't paint smiles and rainbows on things unresolved and expect them to resolve. I think she's doing her best to cope but is clearly not happy right now. That's what comes through loud and clear when I watch her perform. No it isn't all horrible. But, that pain is constantly there, no matter how upbeat she appears. That's what I think Nathan was getting at. For the record, I really don't feel he sold her out to get attention, I think he was asked a direct question because MC is all over the media, and he answered as a friend who cares and wants to see her thriving for the joy of it again.

I really think he spoke from his heart and spoke out of genuinely wanting the best for Mariah.

GG (49,771) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
That's exactly what I feel. I adore MC, bought her debut in 1990 as soon as I heard her on the radio, but things do not feel right. She's my fave singer, but I care more about her happiness than her next tour, album, performance hairstyle/clothing, anything being said about Jamaica or the whole retirement debate.
