See what you dragged into 2019? Pun intended. Instead of basking in what you think is Mimi's flawlessness and good fortune, you just reminded everyone of what happens. Now the same mess is spread all over this board for the new year. You got his stans turning him into some kind of martyr with fictionalized accounts of his import. Some mess is really better left in the year it left. Now, did you see Mimi flawlessly perform at Nikki Beach for NYE?

Me I Am Mariah revisited (87,281)
by RibbonB from USA

So I decided to pull out MIAM and give it another go round on my drive to work. It's been about a year since I've played it in the car or streamed it at home. Cry still resonates, beautiful, timeless, emotional. You Make it Look Good is funny, cute, timeless, playful with the iconic Stevie Wonder on harmonica. I love You're Mine Eternal, but the track sounds poorly produced. A live band or orchestra would have been much appreciated. Faded is still a fave, but it only really kicks when played at top volume. Money is still a bop. You Don't Know What To Do is outstanding driving music. So we'll produced, emphatic lyrics, Mimi's vocal arrangements genius and her voice so smooth. Cry and YDK, the two best songs. I still can't stand The Art of Letting Go.

Thank you, exactly my point. Those nuts are tainted now and for ever IMO. At least as far as speaking on Mimi is concerned. And the sister is on tape whining and crying about asking for her son for money to buy false teeth. I gather he said no and also didn't invite her to his nuptuals. All understandable.

What misconceptions do you think people have? I assume you mean non fans? For most fans the three main attention grabbers are cause for concern. How do three people who've recently called her a witch and devil offer any credibility? They wouldn't get paid to slander Mimi, so they play the concerned snakes in the grass, to get a moment on tv.

Same old tabloid mess with the same tabloid players. Doofus Damian, the brother and sister are especially ridiculous after selling their tabloid bs for years they finally got a moment in tv. They sound as pathetic as ever though. What a shame.

Hmph, funny that all these people you mention seem to be afforded the "insecurity privilege", but Mimi the diva is supposed to be the generous queen at all times. Bump that, all these clowns need to STFU and GTFO. Lol. I get sick of the whining for attention and credit, whether it is Brenda, Tommy, Walter, brother, sister, Stella or other assorted non factors. Get over it, you got paid, now scram.

He makes some valid points and certainly has a right to express his opinions. Mariah also has a right to tell her story the way she remembers it. As long as he gets paid for his share, then he really shouldn't complain. Mimi likes to focus on what she iikes at any given time. He is not a singer or performer so he will never get her shine, not does he have her responsibiities.

They should do the same for When Christmas Comes, especially since she co wrote it with the Roots' James Poyser. They are such talented musicians.

Mariah could absolutely use and benefit from an extended break. Don't worry, she's unlikely to take one, because she's going, going, going for the past several years now. She seems to want the money, the attention, etc. Time away is the very thing she needs, but she will keep touring to feed her hired sycophants and her own ego.

Yeah have fun with it. JD is there to hype her up too. Her entrance looked a little "Vegasy" though. Lol. I'm not a fan of the show, but I've seen a few episodes before and they can be fun.

Mimi is going to appear on this show. I think that's a cute look. She will be getting the diva treatment, but it'll have been funnier if she was there to compete. All, maybe she is, I'm just guessing rnb.

Re: Caution's commercial performance (87,004) (87,006)

I love Stay Long Love, it is perfect for radio. Nice song. If she really wanted to release Caution, just from a story perspective and with it being the title cut, she should have released it as first single. I don't like With You or The Distance, but they would make sense as 2 and 3. Maybe that's her plan for the new year and tour, shrug. But I think that should have sacked. She may now be missing a rare opportunity with 8th Grade, which is a rare gem. It is one of her best songs ever, IMO. Nice to see her RT Timbaland and note that it is also one of her faves. I would love to hear more material with Mimi, Timbaland and his team of musicians and co-writers.

I find Caution the song to be boring and repetutive. The other two songs are great potential singles. I think she hopes this coming Caution tour will keep people interested.

1.TEOM skip To The Floor and Get Your Number every time. 1a. E=MC2, I hop around filled with hand and 18th number in the timeless TMB. 2. Me I Am Mariah, sad, but poignant. Will have a justice for MIAM moment in ten years. 3. Memoirs, fun songs, too wordy at times. Great vocals. Trying to do too much, but not doing enough. 4. Caution, I love 8th Grade timeless, touching. GML is experimental and creative, great to explore in future projects. Stay Long Love is a radio ready bop. I avoid the first half of this project, boring. Looking forward to A No No remix though.

None of of them are about him. If she's obsessing about a six month relationship, she does have issues. That's how Jeter described it in his book anyway. Some people like to fantasize about his importance and project him into the songs. Great writers write and create. Dedicated references making love and going back in time. But anyway Mimi is the only one who can say, perhaps she will in her memoirs, so you guys can get your life.

Clark Sisters biopic (86,817)
by RibbonB from USA

I was so excited to hear that Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige and Missie are producing the Clark Sisters biopic. It's to air in Lifetime next year. I'd love to see it on the bye screen, but I will take it. I wish Mimi was also involved as a co producer, as she has also been influenced by these awesome singers. Karen Clark Sheard dang ATYNAF for her at the BMI event several years ago. Here is their iconic four part harmony on dramatic display singing a beautiful Christmas hymn.

Aren't you forgetting Candy Bling and Dedicated? Mimi repeats a lot of themes, many or most not autobiographical.
