Oops it's early. I meant submarine sound, not subway. Also the song gave Mimi, not have. But I love the echo submarine sound effects.

The seatbelt is required by all, the booster allows babies to be seatbelted. That's a huge ticket and if an accident occurred, even negligence. Let's hope it was a parked photo op and that Mimi always make her kids and herself secure the belt. Brandy and Catlyn both had severe rear end collisions, it's no joke.

I don't get any Aaliyah vibe at all, but I do love the R and B flair of the tune. Even though the song have Mimi a melancholy feeling that she felt in 8th grade, the song lyrics themselves are very adult. Sounds like the sequel to You're Mine Eternal, with even a sinking subway sound. I incision Mimi the mermaid lamenting letting her man sink out of reach.

Why you mad though Edward lol? Actually, she wanted to rename it "Almost Hobo", because she's such a vagabond, barely in one residence long enough to collect her mail. . Honestly, I listened to both Almost Home and Bring it on Home all of two times total. Both are meh, but it's ok. Too much to like, to gripe about those I hate or feel indifferent toward.

Per Wikipedia, Disney commissioned three others to write it, then Mimi was brought on. She and Stargate then tweaked the song and coproduced it.

She keeps talking about [s]he is writing her memoirs, so she is obviously hungover her life an[d] career and the key points within them. Now we just might hear her repeat, "I don't wanna give away too much, because him writing my memoirs."

Yes I'm loving her chats. Did you catch the tea she spilled about brand A Kmart? That she is the one who tried to buy the rights to her music for $5000? She fantasy the name, but in the whole context, caught that. So glad Mimi had the intuition, forethought etc, not to do that. Maybe that's the Re A reason Brand A has lingering resentment, she didn't get a cut.

Pitchfork interview (86,619)

Good for Mariah calling out the nonsense about the rude and or ignorant comments about her race, related to the Kaepernick post she made on IG. That crap is so tired.

The Forever Mariah Pitchfork interview has more about her 8th Grade title. She describes her mood writing it reminded her of that vulnerable time in 8th Grade when she also felt vulnerable and insecure.

Re: 8th Grade should be Limitless (86,617)
by RibbonB from USA

I asked that question as soon as I heard the song. Limitless is the perfect title IMO. Mariah's explanation is odd, that the feeling expressed is melancholy, which reminds her of the 8th grade. The working title was supposedly 8th Grade Rough. That's double speak to avoid saying what it's really about. I have my opinions, but won't ruin it for some.

I agree I instantly love songs 8 and 9 and found them to be radio friendly. Song 9, Stay Long is perfect forop, top 40 and 8, 8th Grade is perfect for A.C. Or any market smart enough to put it on. Tony Braxton's Long as I Live gets lots of love on 94.7 the Wave in LA. Speaking of the Wave, I was delighted to hear them play Mariah's When Christmas Comes yesterday. It's also nice that Mimi has mentioned the song on Fallon and I think on The SeriusXM interviews. I stated recently that the song is one of her most recent best dongs, both well written a d superbly sung. Now she can add a few more from Caution.

Why was DJ Sasquatch acting like he could put something together? JD was acting like the song producer, but for no credit on the record. This is not going smoothly.

So true. That talk is so tired. But it would be funny if Mimi wore a grill on the A No No remix with Lil Kim and Cardi. Some brass knuckles too. The thought is funny, the reality would not go over well.

The bright side (86,489)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|

Caution is getting great reviews and maybe this time around she will get appropriate Grammy recognition. I will reiterate though, that no matter how much she calls some songs fun loving, or for laughs, that petty is played out, or should be for her. Tell those stories a better way. From infinity to GTFO. A No No may have a chance due to the classic track and potential remix collaborators.
