I also hope MC's team brings drags Stella's credibility by bringing up the fact that Stella willingly kept bringing her underage daughters in Mariah's contact even though she was supposedly such a sexual and addicted mess. What mother would want to expose their kids to such a situation?

Re: Sexual harassment (81,905) (81,921)

For the first time in forever, I'm not worried at all since MC's current team is amazing. They already released a statement putting Stella on blast (and they didn't even have to resort to messy name calling like Stella used to). A classy statement shutting down Stella's claim that she was under contract and was fired unfairly, MC's team states that she was under no contract and was fired due to her inefficiency. Secondly they made it known that three other law firms refused to take up Stella's case (which shows how weak it is) before Stella finally found someone to take it up. Now Stella's current lawyers are apparently well known but I'm sure even they know that this case is stupid, so I'm sure the case is more of a way to humiliate Mariah so she pays up. I'm sure MC's team anticipated this hence she took the narrative in her own hands to reveal her disorder. Stella might try to get messy by releasing photos/videos of Mariah in messy situations but I'm sure her team will not let it slide. Stella is playing with fire, team Mariah will swallow her unblended contour self whole.

Sexual harassment (81,904)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
Stella is apparently now suing Mariah for sexual harassment, claiming that Mariah barely wore anything around Stella and did sexual acts in front of her. How desperate is Stella getting? She really must be out of cash and Mishka is not being able to afford a touch up on her blonde highlights. Anyways apparently Stella is claiming that Mariah often failed to take medications for her bi-polar disorder and that it is not even the biggest problem. Ya it isn't, the biggest problem was the mess that Stella called management. Anyways to go further, Stella is saying she was unfairly fired and has money due.

Oh boy. Stella is just butt hurt that she can no longer go on lavish trips and enjoy VIP status. I cannot with TMZ saying she fiercely defended Mariah, this woman was responsible for potentially ending the career of a legend and in the process also ending her life with all the drinking and weed mess.

I'm well aware of everything you said, but I still stand by my post. His words weren't twisted, he was out to defame her possibly since she cut him off for whatever reason. Him going to the press and spilling on her mental issue was not his story to tell. Also him trying to take jabs at her didn't end there, he came for her later making it look like she's heartless and selfish for not helping Allison out financially. Just because he helped her years back does not mean Mariah has to continuously support them. I'm sure she paid her dues. He has just been using his sister's name to get paid.

Next step (81,768)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
Since Mariah is now so vocal about personal issues, maybe she can next address her voice issues so that people lay off her a bit. Just admit that the voice has changed, which is normal especially since her songs that she is singing for years put so much on her voice. I wouldn't be surprised if that comes next and it'll make me more proud. People need to see her as just a normal human being who achieved fame and success through her immense talent and hard work, not a ditzy diva who is full of herself. Here's to a new beginning and a new, more open Mariah Carey.

Mental health and current team (81,762)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
First of all, I have got to give Mariah credit for opening about her disorder. Mental health issues are unfortunately still a stigma and powerful successful women like Mariah speaking about their issues will pave the way for it to be more normalized and help a lot of people suffering from it get some confidence and comfort. I'm sure on Mariah's part it wasn't easy either since she always wants to maintain this untouchable, perfect, goddess diva image, and now to suddenly talk about her vulnerability and perhaps one of her biggest secrets so openly, it's not easy. So I'm happy to see this. Not only will this help create awareness and help people see Mariah in a different light, it will also allows her to take the narrative of her disorder in her own hands instead of leeches around her, like her brother and possibly Stella trying to make a quick buck off selling this story to the tabloids by sensationalizing it. For this I give props to her current team. Her previous teams along with Mariah herself had always maintained that untouchable image (which has started to turn the general public off) while her new team is making her look more like a person you can relate to by getting her to open up about her insecurities and actively participate in social agendas like the "Me Too" movement and other things. Mariah herself will feel liberated by letting go of her previous "perfect" image (which must be frustrating to maintain) and embracing the current, more vocal, more relatable Mariah. It's a win win. Go Mariah, Go Team MC. In the famous words of Kris Jenner "You are doing amazing sweetie."

"Say Something" also features the gold color Nokia phone which was really popular in 2006. I think it was the Nokia 8800. "Obsessed" featured Nokia N90. "Oh Santa" featured her lollipop bling collection. IKWYW featured her "Automatic Princess" line.

Haha I don't really believe Bryan is actually responsible for Stella's dismissal, but I do believe that around the end Bryan and Stella didn't see eye to eye hence we got those insane amount of "Bryan is a leech" news. That was classic Stella move. I still think that Bryan is nothing but a paid employee acting as a boyfriend. I would really like to know what happened with that security issue though. It's scary that Stella would go to such limits to steal some Hermes bags, but we all know she loves herself some big ass hand bags.

I think her current team will take care of the statement, provided she has one. I do agree with you about how she should go about it. Now with the Time's Up movement, we have to remember it's not just about sexual abuse, but also unfair and unequal pay, women not getting enough recognition for their contribution and so on. For Mariah, I think her statement (if she does go for it) will be more about the unfair business practices and not about sexual abuse. I'm basing this off the fact that she had her "sometimes men forget that women write as well" statement ready. So I'm guessing hers is about that.

From what I've gathered, Stella quite possibly was the mastermind behind the "relationship" but there came a point where Tanaka and Stella didn't see eye to eye. That's probably when the "break up" happened between Mariah and Bryan and we got all those stories about how Bryan is demanding more money and how Mariah left Bryan because she realized how he was using her for money and fame. Then Bryan came back into the picture and eventually phased Stella out. They say Bryan played a key role in Stella's dismissal but ofcourse these are all unconfirmed.

Her re-doing NYE and claiming back her spotlight would never have happened under Stella's immature reign. We would still be getting pointless mud throwing instead of damage control. Her social media now looks much more sophisticated and personal. I love that we are getting 2009 Mariah twitter moments with her joking around, making up silly words, sharing little seat stealing moments with Meryl Streep. I love how she is now being more vocal about women's rights and standing up for causes. I love that now each day she's out she looks like Hollywood royalty and not some trashy reality star looking for cheap attention. If I hadn't known any better I would argue till death that the Mariah we saw for the last 2-3 years and the Mariah we have now are not the same person. This new turn around just gives me so much hope. And to be quite honest, even if she decides not to release albums or whatever (which I'm sure she'll release because she loves music), I'm just glad that at least her image has been repaired perfectly. I was scared that she has ruined the last bits of what was left of her image and flushed all her hard work and integrity down the drain. But she has risen like a Phoenix again. The people are on her side again. 2018 could be the year of Mariah if she wants it to be.

New Mariah (80,325)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
I just wanted to write a post dedicated to how amazing Mariah's new image and team is looking. This is how a legendary superstar should be represented. Not only is her team doing an amazing job churning out one positive news about her after another (this shows that you don't need trashy moves to stay in the news), but Mariah herself seem to have returned to her usual collected, classy and elegant self. The Mariah in the past 3 years was someone I just couldn't recognize. The constant trashy moves, the booty shots, the back up dancer grinding, the TMZ leaks, the relationship stunts, the ridiculous "walking around freezing NYC in a body suit" or "showing up at a club in underwear" and the immature and unprofessional behavior while dealing with the media both personally and through her previous team. I was seeing my childhood idol self destruct and it was painful to watch. I almost thought there is going to be no turning back from this but Lord am I happy she managed to turn it around. Everything has been on point lately. I can't complain about anything. Her mingling with Hollywood elite is how it should have been instead of hanging out with trashy reality show people. I hope it stays this way and I hope Mariah uses this new found interest in her to kick start her next era. I am loving the fact that I got my old Mariah back. Pow moment dahlin's, it's a pow moment.

Why are you giving out these for free when you can make money writing conspiracy theories (right?). Don't waste your talent here and then get dragged by Special K. You have a gift, like Mariah's voice. But seriously thought don't you always say Mariah is super smart and knows what she is doing then how does she conviniently have no idea this time along?

Mariah has moved on so why not we do the same? This whole "their fault, her fault" thing is very 2017. Let's just be excited that Mariah pulled a boss move to come back and show the world who the real queen is. As she once said, "If they counted me out, they'll just have to count me back in."
