About RibbonB from USA: I love Mariah's Music.

Mimi is ready (83,914) by RibbonB from USA
Mariah's black dress hair and makeup are perfect on her Instagram page. She looks ready for tonight. She and the background singers sound good. I hope all goes well.

Re: Toni Braxton featured? (83,892) (83,894) by RibbonB from USA
I'm not so whereabouts a diet with Toni, but I forgot her song Long as I Live. It's nice to hear new TH from older divas still. Her video is also great. I like the colors and umbrellas.

Re: Mariah dining out (83,872) (83,879) by RibbonB from USA
Hey Licia girl, that means shade to follow, I already stated that her tried and true is lying to her, but in the help's case it's "paid when due is only a yes man".

Mariah wears checked pants (83,856) by RibbonB from USA
That really is noteworthy. A nicer blouse would have been epic. Something white and flowing would have been cute. She should wear slacks more often. Switch up her looks from her tried and true, because it's lying to her.

The Grove, memoirs? (83,838) by RibbonB from USA
Mimi tweeted about some surprise today at the Hollywood Grove Barnes and Noble. Some think she's announcing her memoirs. She included the #GTFO hashtag though. There is also video of her, seen shooting something on the streets of LA yesterday. Perhaps she's doing an elaborate video shoot and she wants a crowd of fans to show up. No time was posted though.

Porter Robinson (83,776) by RibbonB from USA
I loved the GTFO track from the start. Looks like Mimi has EDM artist Porter Robinson to thank for that. Good and interesting pairing of his song Goodbye to the World and GTFO of Mariah's World. The cuss word doesn't bother me but I do wish Mimi when would switch up from the "you misled me/cheated, but I'm stronger and better than you" theme. Give herself and us some new angles on the break up bop.

GTFO (83,724) by RibbonB from USA
It's an ok song. I like the track. It could have fit right in on Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel though. I love parts of her vocals. That's the bright side. I hope the video is cute.

It's giving me "I can finally hate u" vibes

GTFO snippet (83,691) by RibbonB from USA
I sort of like it. Smooth, easy going track. But so far I don't like the style and pitch that she is singing it. The lyrics are muffled, but maybe it will sound better on full listen. Good luck Mimi.

Re: How Bout You (G.T.F.O) (83,680) (83,682) by RibbonB from USA
That doesn't sound like Stella. People acting like it's a given who it's about, well it's anybody's guess. Which is a good reason not to write petty, seemingly particular songs. But if one does, make it crystal clear. I just knew JD was shading her new music.

Re: How Bout You (G.T.F.O) (83,658) (83,660) by RibbonB from USA
Well that is aggressive though.

Re: O coming soon? (83,644) (83,650) by RibbonB from USA
I have wanted Mimi to do Oprah Master class for a while. Maybe the time is here. I hope she has really done some reflecting and gotten some therapy. Her tabloid antics of the past few years will not fly in that format and not with O interviewing. A new single or a major interview? I think the latter first. A good interview, not same old, same old could strike up some interest.

That's the O for Oprah or her magazine looks like.

Re: Instagram The Roof (83,595) (83,596) by RibbonB from USA
No, but do we know who call the singers were besides Trey and Maryann? It was very cool to see Nick's mom hanging out backstage with Mariah and singers.

Queen of shade (83,583) by RibbonB from USA
Was truly Aretha Franklin. This article from Vulture highlights her most iconic moments. I love the Liz Smith story and her Mariah moment is more cute and funny than shade. Of course we know Aretha covered Touch My Body in her concerts when the hit was new. She faux coyly shys away from certain lyrics nothingness church roots. Gotta love her self assured attitude and her sense of humor. I wish Mariah would share a warm or humorous story of herself and the queen. Aretha seemed very pleased when Mimi was awarded the BET Honors award in 2012, I believe it was. Time flies and surely changes things.

Re: She should've paid attention to us (83,577) (83,579) by RibbonB from USA
Why should Stella be mad when that was revealed four years ago? If nobody dwelt on Morgan's tabloid revelations it was not because no one wanted to believe him. That diagnosis is for Mimi to discuss, if it's to be discussed anyway. Stella is mostly hot air anyway. This is all some dumb plan, ill conceived and destined to flop like her other attempts to use Mimi.

Attacks vs. miss-steps (83,557) by RibbonB from USA
The Grande grope was a mis step that the pastor apologized for. That moment doesn't rise to the level of what happened years ago when Halle Berry endured a non consensual kiss during a live Oscar broadcast and many practically applauded the clown actor. Here's an interesting article on the divide in the outrage or lack thereof especially in light of #metoo. Poor Halle. Yuck. Everyone should conduct themselves better with respect to others' space. But there are accidents and there are actual assaults. Ariana was not assaulted.

Re: Aretha's funeral performances (83,553) (83,554) by RibbonB from USA
I saw it as an unfortunate accident, she is short. But he was a bit too familiar to someone he had never met. But I doubt anything intentional on that stage and in front of his own wife. Awkward though for sure. Ariana might have to learn the "step back, elbow swipe move" for those handsy types, intentional or otherwise. Sad distraction for Ariana and the Franklin family.

Re: Agressive music (83,540) (83,548) by RibbonB from USA
When I read his interview, I actually thought it was shade, I just didn't share that. He doesn't seem too invested in the project, IMO. When he quipped, "it's music, it's aggressive", I thought oh no. . Maybe she's gonna drop a mixtape between her fall and winter tour dates.

Re: Aretha's funeral performances (83,543) (83,546) by RibbonB from USA
Agreed about Ariana. The choir was most on point, but I do love the Clark sisters and Gladys Knight was great and seemingly effortless. Chaka did great for not knowing those ten lyrics by heart. Jennifer Holliday gave the best performance that basically got missed at the very end. Aretha was a gift, I'm glad she had a rousing sendoff.

Re: The misconception (83,527) (83,533) by RibbonB from USA
Mimi should stop feeding the tabloids her fictitious narrative, or should I say contrived moments. The Daily Mail has been acting like her personal companion since Stella and the paid escort came to the forefront. It will be interesting to see if Mimi has real interviews again and keep her stories straight.

Re: JLo (83,464) (83,466) by RibbonB from USA
Mariah doesn't seem to go back to her roots because she seems rootless. But you don't know that she promised anyone a house. She is still friends with at least one of her old friends and we have no idea how she may or may not have helped her or any other former friends or family.

Re: Image overhaul - is it working? (83,445) (83,451) by RibbonB from USA
Silence does not particularly mean a more favorable perception. And you are forgetting about the many fans who stopped giving a whole F about Miss M. But go off. This new team is putting bigger, maybe better band-aids in the boo boos that our diva co created. There is still the reckoning to come though. In all of that I do hope Mimi is actually getting therapy. Where could she find the time?

Aretha memorial service (83,408) by RibbonB from USA
Is scheduled for Friday August 31. Hopefully it will air on tv like Whitney's service. This one should be massive and I would expect former presidents and other luminaries will attend. Aretha was a larger than life musical genius. Sigh.
