Nick Cannon (42,391) by Terna from Nigeria I bet when Nick sits back at home and replays that interview he'll realize how bad he came across. A gentleman never kisses and tells. His kids are gonna grow up someday, maybe stumble upon it on YouTube and have to hear all that. Someone was like it doesn't tell on Mariah if Nick's behaving badly and it doesn't affect her career, but I beg to differ, he is her better half now, she's even the first person that would be though of every time he slips up (Isn't that Mariah Carey's husband?), heck it's even mostly always about Mariah like in this interview. They've been together almost six years and also have two kids together so when he's prone to run his mouth, it should occur to him that he's a father and a husband now, even before a celeb and that should keep him grounded, with that clown act out the window. Just a thought (42,270) by Terna from Nigeria I have a feeling Mariah is working on more than one album, that would explain a lot. Knowing how unsurpportive IDJ have become rescently, she's not about to let them ruin this era with their issues. She is much aware of the fact they are to blame over the underperformance of MOAIA and the wrong single choices since E=MC2 era. You're Mine (41,189) by Terna from Nigeria I Love it. It's sleek and mellow, just really a lovers' jam. Melodic wise, it's very catchy and sits in your mind with just one listen. Just beautiful. I also love how its hooks aren't even obvious, and those vocals are on point. Mariah Carey is indeed a music genius. Currently it sits at No.11 on iTunes USA so I guess it resonates with the general public. Congrats Mariah for yet another gem added to your already vast body of work. Lots of love. I've been a lamb since I was in my early teens and the Mariah I fell in love with is just not the one I see today. I'm losing faith in her talent and interest also. Something indeed changed her, maybe Tommy Mottola. But I also agree "he was a great filter". I recall he was even the one who encouraged her to keep "Hero" for herself. A song that can now be considered her signature song, and with Tommy still in the picture, such crap like "Triumphant" where you're featured on your own song never saw the light of day. Licia, Jeremy, Mariah's voice (40,100) by Terna from Nigeria It's [...] Licia and yes I was reffering to the Rockerfeller performance. To me those performances are also strained. I didn't even bother with the tree lighting performance after watching the former. Jeremy, you have a point. It could've also been as a result of the cold in the case of the later, but then again there's the bubbly issue. I wish she would just give up the alchohol altogether. It's wrecked her voice, especially the tone, quality and ease of singing. Mariah has too many yes people around her who are to scared to tell her: Hey Mariah slow down on the bubbly or better yet put it away. Even Nick Cannon apparently. Sorry guys, it may seem like I'm venting, but it's because I care. I'm [...] worried and not only about her voice, but her health too. (Sunday 8 December 2013; 0:16)

Rockefeller tree lighting performance (40,085) by Terna from Nigeria I'm so upset right now. Are we listening to the same performance here? Mariah really struggles on both songs she performed. She sounded arid, really hoarse and just all over the place and latetly it seems switching into the high notes is kinda a saver of a totally horrendous performance which is what this was. If this is the way she's sounding now makes me wonder what kinda vocals are gonna be on the album. (Saturday 7 December 2013; 11:30)

She talked about a certain emotion being strong and present on the track when she was interviewed on CNN. Well, its definitely [...] I sense as I listen, [...] too. It's just as [...] as the whole Memoirs album was. Tommy must've hurt her real bad for her to still be dwelling on it after all this time. She even seems different now. Mariah's signature song (39,402) by Terna from Nigeria In my opinion, is "Hero". It's also the song she's performed the most and most people that don't necessarily like or even know her just automatically know that song almost as if it's a good old regular hymn sung in church. It's always worth the wait when Mariah sorta disappears from the public eye working on new music, forgotten The Emancipation Of Mimi already? Chill, she knows what she is doing. Mariah Carey's vocal style and influence (39,329) by Terna from Nigeria Ariana Grande, Tynisha Keli and Tori Kelly, though the latter two not that well known yet, are a clearcut example of just how much Mariah's singing and vocal style has heavily influenced the younger generation. Tynisha's "I Wish You Loved Me" and Tori's "Dear No One" have Mariah written all over them. I was pleasantly suprised. From the songs' arrangements to the vocal layering and background vocals, listening to them is definately a throwback to a classic Mariah Carey track. Wish you guys check them out and tell me what you think. Though i should fore warn you that they aren't big voiced singers like Mariah though, she's one of a kind in that department. Lol. Music Box (39,166) by Terna from Nigeria It felt good to see Billboard acknowledge this masterpiece from Mariah. I have been playing it a lot too lately. Though I disagree with their review of "Never forget You", it's actually a standout track in my opinion and one of her best vocals. Babyface and Mariah make magic. (Sunday 1 September 2013; 11:39)

Erica, could that be "MTV Presents Mariah Carey"? I recall she sang songs from Charmbracelet wearing a black gown and a jacket at some point, "Through the rain" was flawless I might add. I hope that helps. Joachim, I beg to differ. "Vision of love" is Mariah's Magna Carta. The song is in a league of its own, though I now get where you're coming from about skipping it lol. I do love that song, though it speaks volumes to me everytime I hear it. "Without you" and the "Other hand" are just ok songs to me, but I love the live versions at Proctor's Theatre much more than the studio version. (Saturday 31 August 2013; 19:27)

Skipped songs (39,145) by Terna from Nigeria That horrendous "To The Floor" song off TEOM. (What was she thinking? I can actually count the number of times i've played it. lol.) And the whole E=MC2 album with the exception of "Touch my body", "I wish you well", "Last kiss", "I'll be loving you long time" and "Bye bye". Funny enough I agree with Chase on the feeling of hapharzardness you get with both Rainbow and E=MC2, like they were rushed and just throw together with a lot of fillers, but Rainbow fairs much better than E=MC2 which in my opinion is Mariah's weakest offering so far. Fave unreleased song (38,602) by Terna from Nigeria "Slipping Away" without a doubt. It was sheer bliss when I discovered the track in the summer of 2001, admist all that noise about her so called breakdown. I still play it often, even today. (Sunday 7 July 2013; 6:57)

Re Chica, Ribbon B, 4th of July video (38,601) by Terna from Nigeria I call it as I see it. When you talk of Mariah Carey, it's her voice first and foremost, before any other secondary aspect about her, like her songwriting and production. I'm guessing you have seen the very recent Independence Day celebration clip? Lol. Nobody's saying she's an alcoholic, but when you have a voice as she does, that's basically an instrument; in which you've built an entire career and brand off on, it would be wise to take care of it, or don't you think? And that does not include drinking alcohol of any sort as regularly as she does. Also health wise, it's not the best. (Sunday 7 July 2013; 6:52)
