I didn't put the link there, Eric did to illustrate my point, it was published on the news section of the board. I'm not implying there's something wrong with your ears, but read the article, it explains exactly the disaster and how disappointed attendees were, so it's not a good point of reference to a good performance, at oil, oil intended. Not even in-boob humidifiers could've done anything for the performance to be decent.

Weed in Jamaica is too strong. You don't get drunk, high on Jamaican weed and expect to lip well. She was so out of synch that she was lipping to Always Be My Baby when Fantasy was playing. She slayed the Jamaicans, literally.

Did you actually know what happened last time she performed in Jamaica? She sounded just like the record.

The key is not just throwing the hottest artist on the song, but rather putting love into the song and producing something special. Mariah remixes used to be epic because she poured her soul and inspiration into them. The last great remix I remember from her was the #Beautiful remix with Jeezy.

Poor B, Andrew's ghost keeps haunting him. Comparing how Havana rose to #1 to whatever "With You" is doing on the R&B charts is ridiculous. Havana hit #2 two months after its release. "With You" hasn't even bubbled under the BB Hot 100 in nearly three months. Caution is good, but commercially the album is done. "A No No" remix, if not a copy-n-paste rushed effort, could be a hit, but it won't bring Caution back into any relevant position on the BB Hot 100. I'm enjoying Caution for what it is, but let's be sane and realistic here.

Mariah can't take two steps without help, even if Da Brat and Missy carried her on their strong shoulders, it wouldn't work. You have to move your behind and be energetic during the Superbowl, it's about the performance, the energy, the production. At the Superbowl there's no time for whining, you have to move your behind and perform, perform, perform. I believe she has the songs, the remixes for a great Superbowl show, but she's insecure. She doesn't have the voice to rely on in case of a flat performance, she doesn't have the energy, and she doesn't have the showmanship either. I hope she won't ever entertain the idea, even though I'm pretty sure at this stage they wouldn't risk it on her.

If you can hear the deterioration of her voice behind the smoke and mirrors when she's only singing live about 10% of a song, can you imagine how she would sound unplugged? Mariah might not care much anymore, but stupid, she isn't. She can't even sing most of the songs on Caution without a wall of backup singers and prerecorded tracks. Anything unplugged is not going to happen, believe me.

Poor B, somebody is out there to get him. Stop making things all about Andrew. When I felt Andrew hit below the belt, I called him out on it, but I have my own mind. Breaking it down to you as if you were five is pointless because you seem to be in a "Victim State of Mind", but let me try: Eric was reminding you that others had posted the position of "With You" on the R&B chart, and I went and did exactly what Eric was reminding you of not to do, but I never said the position exactly, just implied it. And then I basically called myself crazy. I didn't even know you were bipolar. You can call me an Andrew loyalist/sympathizer, and guess what, I don't give two f's about it. I will keep making light jokes here, I've always have. I won't walk on eggshells on the board just because poor B might be offended. It was a good attempt at using the "Bipolar Card" though. I guess you've already signed the petition to change the name of the "Polar Bears" because it's offensive. A "Utopian State" has almost been reached on the board, I guess I just disrupted it.

B, take a chill pill. Nobody was making fun of you for being anything, I don't appreciate your attempt at playing the victim here by even remotely implying I was making fun of you're being bipolar, I wouldn't do such thing. I was poking fun at Eric and at the same time I was making fun of myself with my comment. Do not look for the fifth leg of the cat because he only has four. If you start reading too much into something, you'll go nuts. Peace.

Oh Randy, you should too leave this board. Remember Mariah is eternally 12, vulnerable, helpless and in a bubble. She couldn't tell cocaine from weed. Maybe they put that stuff in a hookah or something, and she thinks she's inhaling fun stuff. Da Brat, that's the evil, she revealed Mariah had breast implants on the remix for Heartbreaker without Mariah's consent when she rapped: "Guess who's back in the mothereffing house, with two big old tities for your mouth." Wait a minute, I just had an epiphany: Definitely the Illuminati is out there to get Mariah. According to YouTube videos, if you're a freak, they don't want you. Maybe Mariah has behaved freaky videos so they wouldn't do to her what they did to Whitney. If a video of Mariah engaged in an orgy surfaces, we must watch it carefully but never judge. We all must remain positive and watch the video with caution.

Re: Mariah sues personal assistant (87,612) (87,617)

With all the crazy pictures Mariah allowed to be posted online and the questionable behavior she engaged herself in, some in front of the cameras of TMZ, t wouldn't surprise me if there were worse pictures and videos than the ones we saw during the Stella-Mariah train-wreck. While I can't stand Stella's mannequin face, Mariah wasn't 5 years old when all this was happening in front of her own boobs. Some super lambs seem to have short term memory loss like the animated fish "Doris" in "Finding Nemo". Anthony warned Mariah about some of the crazy/embarrassing pictures/videos being posted, but she went with what Stella and her daughter had to say. Most likely the PA filmed videos of her acting crazy, popping pills, getting drunk as as skunk and wilding out. It's like she lost all the glamour in those two years, and this is not a Mariah who wasn't in charge like poor 20-year old on Tommy's leash Mariah, this is a nearly 50-year old Mariah who manages Mariah. She only has herself too blame for the consequences of her poor decisions and judgement. In the age of cellphones and social media, I thought she would be more careful. She settled with Stella, well, everybody here was mute about that, of course, if we don't talk about it, it's as if never happened. She wouldn't fall for the PA blackmail because she would've kept coming for more money for the rest of her life. Blackmail never stops with the first payment, it just gets worse.

Does that apply also to a woman who wouldn't be honest about her own boobs? Remember the push-up bras she and her super lambs use as a justification for her sudden tits growth. Or does it just apply to a woman who wouldn't be honest about her own face? If so, that's an interesting theory.

Michelle Kwan is an icon. If she skated to Portrait, I would die. Her skating to Eva Cassidy's "Fields of Gold" was phenomenal. So much emotion. I always dreamed of her skating to "Hero" or "Music Box".

Can you point to me where Mariah stated GTFO should've been the first single? Are we going to start with "The Justification of Mimi", in which everything that supposedly goes wrong is not Mariah's fault as if she doesn't have a say. Now we don't have Stella, JD, Randy, etc. to blame, now it's Epic or maybe Jay-Z or probably Beyonce.

Randy, that's when Mariah had confidence in penning a whole song by herself. When she did that, it was evident. I love when Mariah collaborates, but the fewer people involved in writing the lyrics, the more quality and Mariah we get. Those lyrics she wrote in the 90's weren't drilled into her head, she came up with them. I hate when some of these lambs imply that everything pre Butterfly wasn't the real Mariah, as if Tommy or somebody else handed her those lyrics. I hope one day Mariah finds her muse and write the lyrics of a whole album by herself. I also hope she doesn't take another 4 year period to release music. From MIAM to Caution the vocal decline is scary and she's only 49.

AIWFCIY #3 (87,344)
by Edward from USA
| |
|
|
AIWFCIY is maybe Mariah's last opportunity at hitting #1 again. If its run weren't that short every year, but we still many Christmas to try. It's amazing how Mariah is still creating and breaking records almost 30 years into her career. "My Heart Will Go On" and "I Will Always Love You" will be a distant memory in the minds of those who got to listen to it, but AIWFCIY will be in people's minds for centuries to come.

I personally don't think so. Andrew made great points even though his delivery wasn't the best sometimes. As much as the "Tell Her" queens want to celebrate, this message-board won't ever be the same without Andrew. I think Mariah needs more honest people in her life, since the "Yasss Queen" people she had surrounded herself with didn't see anything negative about Stella. Mariah needs a few people like Andrew in her life, with a less aggressive delivery, of course. Many of the posters here would see Mariah walking naked on the street and tell her: "Queen, you look fabulous."

Re: Walter (87,159) (87,160)
by Edward from USA

It's always good to know the other side of things. Remember that the truth usually lies somewhere in the middle. There's Mariah's truth, his truth and the truth. I read Tommy's book, also read Damizza's book, and there are many things and insights about Mariah's life back then I wouldn't have known if they hadn't spoken about them, especially when Damizza talks about how obsessed Tommy was with Mariah after they divorced and how he kind of wanted to recruit Damizza to keep him informed about her every move to what he declined. I think Walter has diarrhea of the mouth though, he is definitely talking too much, and by inaccurately talking about things that are evidently not true (Mariah made up emblazoned, and that she wrote the song when she was 12) his credibility is questionable. He should just let it go and stop pretending he somehow knows what's best for Mariah. There's also some obvious truth to what he says and it has been discussed here before. Mariah wouldn't be here had she kept on the ballad-only route, but she evolved and here she is still swimming to stay afloat in an ageist industry. When Mariah transitioned incorporating more Hip Hop and R&B, the one thing she never stopped doing was writing great lyrics, but that's not the case now. "Caution" is a good album, but her lyrics are not up to part to anything she's done before, and I'm not talking about ballads. Let's say "Breakdown", that was genius. "Clown" also genius lyrically. So, to write great lyrics you don't have to be locked in one genre and she's proved that.

You're spot on. There wasn't anything gimmicky about Minnie. She must be turning in her grave. That comment irritated me but then I considered the source. A good lamb should know not to use lipsync/guimmicks against other artist to put Mariah in a pedestal without risking opening Pandoras Box.
