Tommy probably said no to a lot of the songs that strayed away from the MC and Walter A hit formula. He probably hated the fact that the young woman he discovered was challenging his vision for her career. And let's not forget about how much he hated the idea of OBD working with MC. Daydream probably reminds MC of some uncomfortable feelings during that era. Many interviews during the Daydream show MC looking very uncomfortable and nervous.
