About Chicago Lamb from USA: Mariah fanatic since 1990!

Re: Undubbed Live Debut (94,632) (94,634) by Chicago Lamb from USA
I own the debut "First Vision" VHS. The Tattoo Club performance was never dubbed over, so the performance remains to this day in its original state. I watched it everyday after school for almost a year, I was obsessed.

Re: Hopes for the memoir (94,554) (94,567) by Chicago Lamb from USA
I'm in agreement with Bill, Edward, and most definitely Andrew on most of these topics. But Mariah will not and should not talk about any vocal deterioration. The public can speculate, lambs can condemn, but there isn't a problem until she confirms there is. She's still singing, touring, recording and will be for the foreseeable future. Why would she publicly confirm her voice is in danger? It will only influence the public negatively thus hurting her appeal as a performer. Yes the lambs know there is a problem with her vocal chords, but for now she's to keep it close to her heart and keep singing. She won't talk about it until the final act, and that is decades into the future.

Re: E=MC2 era (92,157) (92,162) by Chicago Lamb from USA
I agree with you Will. Tommy knew what he was doing and he made sure her star shined bright. As much as she complains about their personal relationship, he was great for her career. I do get the sense Mariah feels she would have been just as huge without him. For instance when she says Warner Bros was working out a deal or the fact that the demo had all these #1 hits on it already. It's difficult to contemplate hypotheticals but she does live a grateful life, and I'm sure probably wouldn't change a thing.

Lets keep the song at #1 until 2020 (91,701) by Chicago Lamb from USA
Congrats everyone, but the work isn't over. Continue to request at www.slayriah.com by typing in your State and hitting the radio request buttons for your corresponding city. Continue to stream everyday. Buy the CD single as a stocking stuffer, for everyone. The song needs to stay at #1 now through the new year. If someone knows the Billboard beginning and end of a chart week, please share. Let's give Mariah the gift of a #1 for 4 decades.

One week until Madison Square Garden (91,554) by Chicago Lamb from USA
I saw Mariah at MSG for her NYE show exactly 10 years ago for what I believe was her last performance at the venue. I hope she'll bring a surprise guest or two on stage. Any other lambs going? Looking forward to a festive and momentous show, and a 19th #1.

Christmas Tree Farm will not be a #1, nor a classic. But, we love everyone.

Can we all just commit (91,430) by Chicago Lamb from USA
Can we all just commit to streaming AiWFC during the final week before Christmas? Can we all just commit to purchasing AIWFC days before Christmas? It's all we've got. #Justice4Mariah

Grammy nominations (91,405) by Chicago Lamb from USA
Very sad Mariah wasn't recognized this year. Caution is a great album, With You is a beautifully crafted song. I'm a little disappointed but the universe can make up for it with AIWFC #1.

Article: Mariah Carey returns to US YouTube Artists Chart (91,330) by Chicago Lamb from USA
With every lamb on the planet predicting a #1 for AIWFCIY, I can't help but think of Murphy's Law. It's my understanding that the Billboard calendar week strongly benefits Mariah's chances, but what, if anything could derail the possibility?

Re: St John the Divine (91,231) (91,233) by Chicago Lamb from USA
I agree totally and was expecting re-mastered, properly mixed, dubbed versions. Had anyone known they were going to need it 25 years later, betcha they'd have produced it in line with JTTW. Here's to a 19th #1 this December, Lambs.

Pre sale help (90,951) (90,956) by Chicago Lamb from USA
Sooooo excited, I've got 'dem tickets. First step: go to Mariah's website and follow the link to honeybfly fan club where you can pre-purchase the Christmas album. Once it's paid for, you'll get the order # that you can use on the Ticketmaster website to access the pre-purchase pre-sale. Good luck, I found it pretty easy.

Re: Glitter aka another disaster movie (90,761) (90,762) by Chicago Lamb from USA
All due respect, I simply want to clarify some facts here. Mariah didn't "change" the script. Cheryl L. West and Kate Lanier ultimately wrote the story and screenplay after previous submissions had been rejected by Columbia pictures (who called the shots). It was reported that the script was being finished during the movie shoot. Yes, the director Vondie Curtis Hall's job is to competently run the show and morally support everything and everyone attached to the project. He should have been hung out to dry for this hot mess. $22mil was spent on Glitter compared to a worldwide gross of 5.2mil. Tommy Mottola was not on set, although it was reported he had access to the rushes/etc as Columbia is a subsidiary of Sony Music Corp. Mariah's 80's revival was a good idea, she was just too early and in retrospect not a prudent business move to star in her own film. 9/11 is and always will be an unfortunate time in our history, but let's call it like it is. The movie could have been so much better, it just wasn't. Perhaps Mariah shot for the stars here but never made it off her feet.

Re: Genius interview (90,747) (90,748) by Chicago Lamb from USA
Yes, I loved the "lost" Rainbow interview. Held during a limo ride in NYC. She mentions Lisa Fisher here, among other great info. A must listen indeed.

Love Takes Time on POSE (90,642) by Chicago Lamb from USA
Has anyone been watching POSE? The first season takes place in late 80's and the second season in early 90's. Lots of great music is used throughout the both seasons. So you know as I'm watching I wonder... ok when are they going to use a Mariah track? When I was 19 I'd go to the Bistro II, an urban dance club in Chicago where at the end of the night they'd always play Vision of Love. A slow dance to finish the night. So I thought VOL might be a good fit since it was so embraced by the trans/gay community very early. Love Takes Time was used for the end of the 7th episode in the current season. I'm so happy she let this very important show license her music.

Re: Mariah's greatest lyric (90,125) (90,134) by Chicago Lamb from USA
And so we finished the Moet and
Started feeling liberated
And I surrendered as you took me
In your arms
I was so caught up in the moment
I couldn't bear to let you go yet
So I threw caution to the wind
And started listening to my longing heart
And then you softly pressed your lips to mine
And feelings surfaced I'd suppressed
For such a long time
And for a while I forgot
The sorrow and the pain
And melted with you as we stood
There in the rain

Re: Favourite whistle (89,892) (89,894) by Chicago Lamb from USA
I didn't know Mariah had a new single out. It was late 1991 and 'Emotions' played on the radio. 1 whistle, 2 whistles, the bridge whistles and finally the outro whistles. I almost fell out of the car. Iconic.
