The ruthless media (44,805) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia The sad thing about this whole ordeal with the current state of MC's career is how henious the media has been towards her. These evil individuals write some of the most blatantly hateful articles and are dying to see her crack under pressure or have a "breakdown". That's why I love that Mariah keeps a huge smile on her face, enjoys her quality time with dem babies, and don't let them see her sweat. That's very inspiring to me, because there's truly more important things in life than being the top selling this or that all the time such as her children, marriage, and personal peace. Streaming (44,609) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia I'm convinced Mariah doesn't/didn't care about this album not doing well. Why else would she stream it for a whole week prior to its release. She practically gave the album away. If I'm not mistaking the album is still streaming. So in reality only the real fans will go out and support the album for the sake of supporting Mariah. However, the general public won't buy an album that they could listen to free of charge. Mistake? It depends on what Mariah was expecting. Maybe she just wanted it to be a gift to the fans and garner critical acclaim or maybe she thought streaming the album would make ppl want to buy it after hearing the masterpiece it truly is. They've begged, cried, and practically harassed her on every social media outlet over this album coming out, then when the album drops 57k. Photoshopped / new album gems (44,038) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia Mariah was actually that size when she took those pictures (over a year ago), so people need to get off the overly photoshopped thing. Sure the pics where perhaps enhanced, but no more enhanced than any other pics you see online or magazine covers. She's still gorgeous either way. On another note: I heard the rest of the album and now Cry and Meteorite are my new faves. Meteorite makes me want to show up at her album release party in full disco getup, my own disco ball, and break into a full "Saturday Night Fever" dance routine on the dance floor. "Meteori-ite-ite meteori-te-ite" she knew this would infectious. And hunny lets not even get into that key change in Supernatural. (Friday 23 May 2014; 20:37)

Marcel (43,976) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia Okay so you're harping on what's bad, but you're not really pointing out what's good about the album. They're some undeniably great vocal moments on the album that you've chosen to overlook as well as songs and production. Yes there's some raspy vocal moments as well, but the voice is not "gone". Worn yes. As for comparing the vocals to Charmbracelet, Glitter, MOAIA, all those albums had great vocal moments on them. Especially Glitter, so it kind of makes me wonder if you've even given those albums a fair chance along with this one. I get everybody won't love everything, but I do believe in some cases people write things off too quickly and that's what may bother or annoy folks. (Wednesday 21 May 2014; 23:09)

Oops (43,971) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia I'm gonna need you all to get off George Golden. Okay? He was just expressing himself too and he liked OMT. Alright, so I buckled down and listened to a couple songs from the album: Cry, Meteorite, Faded, OMT, Camouflage, and Dedicated. I still haven't heard Make It Look Good, Supernatural, and Heavenly. Out of all the songs I've only heard the high quality version of Faded which I played like a billion times in the row. My second favorite so far is Dedicated even though it was a bad quality version I was still beyond impressed with that one as well. I need to hear the high quality version of Cry and Camouflage to get my complete life, but I love how she's using her voice on those two and I'm sure it as amazing as everyone says it is. I'm sure I'm gonna live for the HQ version of Meteorite as well. As for OMT I can definitely see what everyone is saying, it's not horrible at all, but Mariah was definitely capable of bringing more to the song. I agree that she should've called Walter in for that one. All in all it's not bad though it just fair not as great as her pass covers (which she typically owns). I can't wait to hear the complete high quality body of work next week. Lets get our girl to the top where she belongs, everyone posting here should be buying atleast two copies. I'm just saying. Perhaps it'll grow on you though. Or maybe not. I'm glad the vast majority of the reviews are great, and really hoping this is another big comeback year for MC. Randy (43,805) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia I really hope you're right boo. Because I can't really see her being that confortable lipping on that level in front of a live audience like that. Who knows, but I wouldn't go as far so to say all of her live belts are all fake or prerecorded. Yes we know many of them have been, but we've also heard many undeniable ones from her recently as well. I just chalk it up as one of her "off" days. Hopefully she breaks out of this. I agree though, I know she lips parts here and there, but I don't want to see her out there blatantly doing it like that. Hell she could've sung it in a lower key, hummed, or whistled it for all I care. Oh well she still have her "on" days when she can still give us a nice hardy robust belt so I won't (cry) about it too much about it. Fact vs opinion: lip syncing (43,717) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia I'm gonna need people to learn the difference between singing over a backing track and lip syncing. For the record no one here is delusional about the current state of MC's voice, so can you all please cut the crap on that. We've all accepted that she had her on and off days when performing live. Also there's enough critics on here constantly expressing "disappointment" around the clock, so I'm not getting the people being "blinded by devotion" vibe on this messageboard. Deuces. The Elusive Chanteuse (43,196) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia The title "Me. I Am Mariah" is perfect And the explanation makes it even more meaningful. If it was just "I Am Mariah", people would accuse her of copying "I Am Sasha Fierce" and again that would annoy the hell out of me. Mariah looks gorge on the new album covers, if you don't want booby then just simply buy the deluxe edition, simple as pie. Those of you claiming you won't buy the album need to stop playing, that's now cute at all. I'm so excited, yes bring on the "Elusive Chanteuse". I love it hunny (Friday 2 May 2014; 6:28)

Beyonce (42,993) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia Okay what Beyonce did was cute, but if Mariah would've done the same thing in her prime, trust she would've slayed to infinity and beyond . Beyonce is in her grace period right now, meaning everything she touches will turn to gold and she can sell based in her name alone. Just as Mariah was from Mariah Carey up until Glitter. I think that claiming she's copying Beyonce is a lazy headline, because its not a secret album/she's not just dropping it out of nowhere. Besides since when has Beyonce been so original herself, hasn't she borrowed from Mariah (along with Diana Ross Tina Turner, Rihanna, Britney, Ciara etc. etc.) a great deal herself? No shade. So the media need to keep it cute with the whole "doing a Beyonce" bandwagon. (Monday 28 April 2014; 19:29)

Much needed life (42,885) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia Thank God for that Billboard cover, it came at the perfect time. Mariah is like an angel that can brighten up my darkest day, whether it's through song or a simple beautiful photo. She was put on this earth for a reason, I'm so ready for this album like you'll never believe and I pray no one or nothing stop it from going to the top and just sitting there Adele style. Matthew (42,260) (42,263) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia Great post. I feel the same way. It seems many of the fans forget that Mariah's "been there done that and then some". Many speak of her as if she's debuted it 05'. Mariah will always be regarded as one of the best female artist/vocalist that ever lived, no matter what at this point. Everything else is just a bonus or icing on the cake sort to speak. Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that the lambily is still passionate about her career and relevancy, but in the big scheme of things she could retire now and still have her legacy in tact. I agree with the fans that says Mariah has never had a bad album, so I don't expect this one to be any different. I just hope it sees the light of day, but if it doesn't then it's doesn't really matter because Mariah has fulfilled her destiny and deserves to just enjoy the fruits of her labor and bass in her the love and stability of her personal life with her husband and dem babies. Final thoughts (42,171) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia I can't speak for anyone else, I can only speak from my own perspective. So having said that, the purpose of my posts (or responses to post) are never to try to "convert" people's opinions or "to prove I'm right and they're wrong", because I'm intelligent enough to know that it's all subjective. I post just to simply share my thoughts on topics and speak from my heart; and anybody has every right to agree or disagree with whatever I post. Whenever you make public statements or open your opinion for public discussions either everyone with agree, disagree, have mix responses, agree to disagree, or have no comment. Nothing's wrong with that, it's life. It's everyone's right to share their thoughts on whatever's being discussed, because its a public forum. Sometimes you are going to ruffle feathers and sometimes yours will be ruffled, it's okay the world won't stop turning. I definitely see more negative comments on here than positive these days, so I'm not getting the impression that people are afraid to express their thought because of backlash. However sometimes backlash is well deserved. I have no further comments on the Ariana comparisons, I've express all my thoughts on that topic and I'm content with what I've expressed.
