About Warren from Trinidad & Tobago: I am a fan since early VOL days and being from the Caribbean, far south close to south America, access to music and information was always so difficult. LOVE MC's music all these years and feel like she has only gotten better. I have been able to see her twice and they have been fantastic experiences.

Seriously, I was just looking for clarification because I couldn't tell myself.

Lambs I need your input (61,222) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
So this was very recently obviously and sung differently from when the tour first started. My question is the climax - lip synced, backing track, pre-recorded vocal? I mean I love it either way because its new and fresh, but man we all know she can't lip for her life and everything was perfect, so I'm perhaps foolishly leaning toward live (Andrew chime in here please lol). Then there is this one even more recently and not as great, but even more "live" in my opinion. Has she jaded us to the point where we even disbelieve a fantastic vocal? I just don't want to get too excited or feel too good about this without some input from you guys. I just looked at the first of the two links again and to me there are so many subtle but very definite changes and the other thing I noticed was Trey and Maryann and their reactions throughout. Am I being delusional?

Re: Future releases (61,209) (61,218) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
Mariah needs to do a vocal danceable track - plain and simple. Compare the fun and ease of Dreamlover and Fantasy and Heartbreaker to Triumphant, Infinity and even to a degree Obsessed. Her own style of music that she basically created is now coming back and she should capitalise on it and show the world how it is done. I am from the Caribbean and collectively we all love what Rihanna has done, but enough now.

My goodness, that's horrible, but really funny I have to admit.

She didn't cut the note short this time (61,084) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
Just proves that the more she sings the better she gets, plus she said "Actually I was doing most of the crying" in the middle of the song at the 1.00 mark.

I just posted that link as well, it's pretty awesome.

Re: To Stella, who it probably concerns (61,070) (61,082) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
Excellent point, until she actually sabotages something or messes up in a big way, I also decided to not come out and bash her. The residency was a huge gamble and everything there after has been gravy. We are avid fans have been worried, and for good reason but I think she (MC) is once again proving herself even though she doesn't have to.

That growl (61,057) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
At 0.11 in this link. The confidence in the walk and just everything just seems like a whole new Mariah. I love it. I can't wait to see what's next. And f.y.i. clearly this is 100% live.

How is it I'm only just hearing this? (60,848) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
This link just showed up on my suggestions in YouTube and I am just stunned. Wow. 3.35-6.45 and beyond is just majestic and then Someday I never heard before. The vocal prowess of this lady, just wow.

Re: The O2 (60,801) (60,808) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
Hello again. Thanks a bunch. I know you're deemed the harshest critic here but I read what everyone says and think hearing a balanced view is always best. I've seen her twice before as well, including CB tour so if you say it was better then that is indeed high praise. I actually wanted to come up simply to have that pre-drink with the much reviled Andrew to be honest, but I'm from the Caribbean and only come to London when it's Wimbledon.

Hi Andrew, I really don't care (as I realise you don't) what others say about you, but I was just wondering if you could give a slightly more in-depth review of the show? Thanks.

Not being rude, but what else would you have wanted to see her do and hear her sing?

Re: New and fresh era (60,401) (60,429) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
You are so right. Hate to say it, but that little girl (A. Grande) was actually pretty good hosting SNL this past Saturday. I genuinely laughed a few times. Her J. Law impression was sick. MC needs to find a way to make herself relatable and funny to the general public again.

Re: Squad a difference a day makes (60,353) (60,370) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
Very well said. I agree fully. I've always wanted more behind the scenes, in the studio type footage, but there never seems to be much. Crossing my fingers as well.

Ever noticed (60,264) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
That when she is super confident and super happy she just randomly sings. She has very very rarely done this since the 90's in interviews and it also makes the debate on this board a little clearer about the reporter who asked her to sing with him. I think the main issue was the key, and not that he asked her. She as recently as the Carpool Karaoke was so hesitant to sing but now she knows where her voice is at. I'm getting a good feeling. See 1.30 in the link.

Re: Ten years ago (59,801) (59,823) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
Great testimonial but I don't think the Grammy's allows lipsyncing. You've gotten to know MC's music at a time when it's pretty tough to remain as hardcore as I think and hope we all are here on this forum. I am the opposite as Vision Of Love stopped me in my tracks back in 1990 when I heard it on the radio.

Re: Just for the nostalgia (59,481) (59,484) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
So darn true. I remember seeing Bringing On The Heartbreak at the Mall of America and they were actually zoomed in on her face for the high note and remembered thinking I never saw that, plus she really worked to get that note out. Since then anything difficult she's hidden or zoomed out.

Re: View from a penthouse (59,440) (59,483) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
That's a very good point. As much as I like most of her new music and skip tracks on albums much less than the old ones, she needs a change in direction very badly.

I absolutely love this for one reason (59,236) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
Beyond a shadow of a doubt, this is by no means Mariah at her best, but clearly this was 100% live. I am very realistic about current abilities etc, but if there is anyone on this board who picked up any lip sync anywhere please let me know. Why I think it's important is because it means she is once again making the effort to bring it live and the only way is to exercise the voice. She toured alot for Charmbracelet and the recorded and released TEOM, and when Europe was announced last year I never expected the dates to be that extensive. I mean 4 shows in the UK alone I think. She's gearing up guys.

Simple, effective, catchy (59,065) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
This song would so kill on the radio right now. Lyrics that non-lambs could pick up easily, great for blasting in the car, easy to sing along to and so on and so on. Talk about a missed opportunity, this so could have been a hit had it been released in this age of music. Not saying #1, but with a smart video, it could have had a darn good shot.

Re: New music (58,969) (58,976) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
So would I, but to be honest, I would like her to wait until the end of the year to be not in the same consideration year as Adele for the Grammy's. Granted we all know that Adele is a Grammy darling and Mariah isn't but going up against her would just not look good, because as much as we will want her to win, we wouldn't want another 1996 happening.

New wetsuit (58,923) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
There was some debate a while back about MC in these wetsuits. I'm sure we all will be eating out words now. She looks stunning.
