Rihanna can never be Mariah, but that is more the reason why I don't want her to be the one to break Mariah's record. Like I would be fine if someone who can actually sing well do that. So I'm cool with Beyonce, or Adele or anyone with a singing talent that breaks the record (although selfish me would hope Mariah keeps it always), but yes, I really don't want it to be Rihanna. No hate to Rihanna, I think she's a fashion icon, I love her devil may care attitude, I think she's a beautiful woman, but I'm not here for her dethroning Mariah's record. (77,081) (77,087) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I understand your views and I respect them, but saying this board is negative, you should visit some of the other ones. UKMix for example had to be blocked 4-5 times just because of all the mess that went down with people fat shaming her, picking apart her videos by critiquing every note she hits (or misses), then the whole Celine drama. Then other boards, which I have not visited but heard they go really in on Mariah like lipstick alley and this other one that starts with an "A" I forgot. I'd say comparatively this board in particular is more tame since Eric screens the messages and then posts them. There have been many times when he out right didn't approve posts because they have been very disrespectful towards Mariah. Here on this board people may say a little "oh Mariah didn't sound good last night" or "oh she really needs to be more serious" whereas on other boards they'll rip apart every note she missed, then they'll start sharing photos comparing how her body is different from what it was 6 months back, 10 months back and so on. Basically my point it I find it a little surprising when people (and I don't mean you in particular) say that this particular board is rude/ disrespectful/ insensitive/ depressing. We are all concerned because the Mariah we see now is not what she said she is. It's a legitimate reason to worry because we've already seen way too many artist face bad consequences after some concerning situations in their lives. Anyways, I hope you understand my post was meant to defend the board and not attack you. Sorry for the rambling mess, I was just writing on a whim. (Thursday 13 July 2017; 12:32)

I keep hearing this "oh don't worry her voice will improve after the third or fourth show", especially on UKMix, and I'm like how is that fair to the people on the first few shows? It's not like they are getting a discount for being the trial audience. From what it looks like, before every leg, Mariah is on vacation right up until the date of the first show. Now her being on vacation is fine but she should at least start rehearsing a few days ahead of time. (Wednesday 12 July 2017; 12:12)

Biggest concern (77,027) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter So my biggest concern from the latest photos is, what is up with Mariah's mic? Why is she using a basic person generic black mic? Where the hell is the gold mic? When was the last time Mariah used a mic that wasn't either gold or sparkly? She's going broke, they can't afford a gold mic, I cannot deal. Haha I'm kidding. Not a fan of the stage ensembles. But I'm trying to keep quiet about it because next thing I know she'll start wearing them out to dinner and grocery shopping again and I'm just thankful that she's limiting it to the stage. However I do agree that the whole "oh her voice will get better as the shows go on", that's no excuse because the people attending on the first night are paying the same amount of money to buy the tickets. Same post (77,011) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Ok so this is maybe the fourth time I'm saying this but Mariah needs to cover MJ's "Speechless". The song is perfect and suits Mariah's style. I would love to hear her take on it. Other alternative as usual would be "You're are not alone" and "Butterflies". I think I vaguely remember Mariah once talking about liking "Butterflies" (the song haha, we all know for a fact that she loves the insect). But please Mariah, cover "Speechless". That song needs some recognition. It is so beautiful yet so simple, the lyrics are amazing, it's haunting yet soothing at the same time. (Monday 10 July 2017; 02:54)

I mean they stepped down from their roles and were not fired. Stella is still around because she would never willingly step down. Anthony should never have been fired. He should have been kept as her creative director for her live shows. He kept things real and didn't mind showing his annoyance when Mariah wouldn't cooperate. Anthony was the only professional one too, look at what a great job he did with Beyonce's performance right after he left Mariah's team. This will be Mariah's first Vegas leg without Anthony. The cover just exuded confidence and sex appeal. Perfect cover for an album that went on to become iconic. I remember Mariah talking about how she almost changed the cover because people were saying that she looks like Beyonce on the cover and so Mariah wanted to change it (not because she doesn't like Beyonce) because she didn't want people to think that she was ripping off someone's style but then she decided to keep it. At most I said that hiring JD was a bad idea because Mariah would not listen to JD as a manager. I've been dragged for being team JD even before (especially during the time when Mariah wasn't hanging out with him and also after he did the interview where he said some stuff that pissed fans off) so ya I am not changing stories here, and I will certainly never be team Stella. It's not hidden anymore that Mariah was going through personal problems which may have kept JD from really doing much with the era and use his full potential. At the very least JD is from the industry and has connections within the industry, something Stella clearly doesn't. Also JD had the decency to step down from his managerial role when he figured it wouldn't work, something Stella would never do. Two and a half years in and I am still baffled as to how Mariah even thought this was a good idea to take on Stella and the clan especially since Stella has messed up a lot. Don't forget Michael Jackson went broke even after owning his own catalogue and the Beatles. Johnny Depp is in a financial crisis and there are countless other celebs like that. I don't think Mariah is broke but she certainly isn't financially invincible otherwise she wouldn't be picking up these random advertisements of dating apps and dog walking services among other things. Petty post (76,937) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter This is just me being messy and petty but Stella posted like 6 photos (out of which a few are re-cropped versions of the same photo) and captioned each of them with some "empower your bull crap" mess, like girl, you are all basically standing in the lobby of a hotel, the pictures are all from the same series with the same exact pose, we get it, you are empowering everyone, quit making it sound like you have achieved something huge (apart from scamming Mariah). I hope "Despacito" and "I'm the one" keeps blocking the first 2 spots until WT drops. I'm not going to be able to take another Rihanna #1 while Mariah's career is down in shambles.
