Mariah's record label is Epic and Roc Nation is the company that manages her.

She owned that stage and gave the best performance of the night and she looked younger than artist half her age. I still can't believe that J.Lo won the Billboard Icon Award before Janet, Madonna, Whitney, Mariah or Celine.

Re: First impressions of TEOM (82,397) (82,439) by B from USA
When I bought the album I was nervously optimistic. The reviews of Charmbracelet said Mariah's voice was in tatters weighed heavily on my mind. Was Mariah's voice really shot? After listening to TEOM I was relieved that Mariah was singing in her full voice again instead of cooing and whispering. Disclaimer, I've always thought Mariah singing in her highly debated whisper register was a stylistic choice and not an attempt to mask her vocal decline.

Re: First impressions of TEOM (82,409) (82,437) by B from USA
I loved Stay The Night from the moment I heard it. I think it should have been released as the last single from the album instead of Say Somethin'.

Re: Mariah late to the party? (82,435) (82,436) by B from USA
Agreed. Releasing her new album during the highly competitive summer season, when the market is flooded with new releases by younger artist with tween fans, would be a huge mistake. She'll probably release the lead single in July or August and the album in September or October.

The only Mariah Carey albums with interludes are Rainbow and Memoirs, right? Is Twister considered an interlude?

Re: First impressions of TEOM (82,393) (82,398) by B from USA
My first impression was that the album was a return to form for Mariah. The album showcased Mariah's talents as a singer, songwriter, and producer and seamlessly updated her signature sound. I loved It's Like That and We Belong Together, I knew from the first listen that WBT was going to be Mariah's next #1. I also loved Shake It Off, Mine Again, Stay The Night, Circles, One & Only, If You Only Knew, Your Girl and Fly Like A Bird. I was underwhelmed by Mariah's collaborations with The Neptunes. When I first listened to To The Floor I thought the label had mistakened JD for Nelly, lol. Say Somethin' grew on me eventually but TTF never did.

Re: Accelerate (82,329) (82,353) by B from USA
I do as well. Sadly, musicians seem uninspired these days, Mariah included. Thankfully, her last album was a return to form and is still enjoyable. I really hope her next album sounds nothing like Accelerate or Memoirs or MIAM.

Personally, I do not care what anyone else spends their money on. Why belittle the fans who have or are planning on doing so? If it does not affect you or your livelihood, why be outraged?

Article: Mariah returns to Las Vegas for The Butterfly Returns (82,235) by B from USA
Mariah's new adverts look amazing. I hope we get a new single and album on the same date. Maybe she'll pull a Beyonce and drop the album with no warning in May or June. She wanted to do it with MIAM but Island refused and even issued a statement contradicting her which is why she basically abandoned the album after promoting You're Mine (Eternal).

Re: Jay Z dragged in (82,208) (82,218) by B from USA
I just pointed out how Stella's allegations can be used against her. If Mariah was out of her mind preparing for a dinner party with Michael, Whitney, and Prince how in the hell are any deals she signed during that time valid?

Re: According to... (82,172) (82,203) by B from USA
Just because he's co-producing songs with Mariah doesn't mean he co-wrote them with her. Jay, the other Jay not Jay-Z, said Jay-Z and company had Mariah working with several writers writing songs for her new album. Remember during the Charmbracelet sessions when she wrote several songs with 7 Aurelius? Only one of those songs made the album, Subtle Invitation. I'm still waiting for Reach for the Sky, another of their collaborations to be leaked. It is not uncommon for an artist to work on several songs with several different producers before choosing which songs to include once recording is finished.

Re: Jay Z dragged in (82,186) (82,202) by B from USA
Exactly. Jay-Z will not be dragged into this Mariah's actual manager will be. Besides, it isn't hard to explain why she decided decisions Stella made weren't in Mariah's best interest, they weren't they were in Stella's and Mariah's mental state at the time those deals were made makes them null and void. If a person has a mental disorder that is untreated that makes him or her unable to judge the nature or quality of the deal. Stella thinks Mariah will settle out of court but I hope she doesn't. Mariah smokes weed? Stella and her daughter were photographed at a dispensary in Aspen with Mariah. Stella says Mariah violated labor laws? How can she prove this when her and her entire family were living with Mariah? She pissed Mariah backed out of her last chance at fame, the VH1 reality show. Her motives were clear to everyone but Mariah from day one. She wanted to become the next Kris Jenner and to turn Mishka into the new Kim K, which is why she convinced Mariah to do a reality series on E.

Re: Jay Z dragged in (82,189) (82,201) by B from USA
Stella is desperate. Suing Mariah for sexual harassment because Mariah, a female entertainer who has several costume changes per show, was naked in-front of her (which is the exact same suit Stella's third cousin twice removed/baby daddy filed after he was fired) is laughable. As for any violations of labor laws I'm sure that will be easily dismissed. I mean when was she working? While at No-bu drinking champagne or telling Page Six to [censored] themselves and to lose her number? Or convincing Mariah to do reality shows in an attempt to turn herself and her daughters into the next Kardashians. Everything she did as Mariah's manager was to benefit her and her children. Stella better flee to Russia because once Mariah's team hires a forensic account she's screwed.

Re: 5 Songs that would be #1 again if resung/reimagine (82,159) (82,166) by B from USA
I can't see or hear anyone but Mariah singing her songs. However, I do love Tori Kelly. She should have won the Best New Artist Grammy that was awarded to Meghan Trainor. I could see her covering If It's Over or And You Don't Remember. I also love Kelly and I think she did an excellent job covering Always Be My Baby. I'd love to hear Marah's take on Kelly's song Beautiful Disaster.

Re: New album title (82,152) (82,165) by B from USA
Agreed. Imagine Mariah writing a song like Side Effects or Breakdown over one of The Weeknd's dreamy hypnotic beats. Mariah make it happen.

Re: New album title (82,135) (82,149) by B from USA
Mariah's certainly made plenty of headlines lately. Maybe she'll give us a club banger about those headlines like Britney Spears did with Piece of Me. I hope it had a The Weeknd or Bruno Mars type of beat with a huge catchy chorus. Mariah knows how to write a hit and she might just have one up her jewel encrusted sleeve.

Re: New album title (82,056) (82,123) by B from USA
Mariah started 2018 on the right note (lypsynced according to you). She redeemed herself on RNYE, attended the Golden Globes looking gorgeous with Sharon Stone, and finally came forward with her battle with bipolar II disorder, and is in the studio writing with new collaborators. I think she's already started the ground work for a comeback. Much love and positivity.

Re: New album title (82,056) (82,065) by B from USA
I think most of her diva antics occured during her manic episodes. Besides, as long as she looks good and her music is good the general public doesn't care if she's a diva demanding puppies backstage.

Re: New album title (82,049) (82,054) by B from USA
Since coming forward with her battle with bipolar II disorder she's been (being) embraced by fans and non-fans alike. If she releases an amazing single and album I think she can easily make a comeback.

Re: MIAM (82,024) (82,036) by B from USA
Phoenix is an excellent title for Mariah's next album. Mariah's risen from the ashes like a Phoenix before. On an unrelated note I'm a huge X-Men fan and my favorite character Jean Grey was/is the Phoenix. She died saving her teammates only to rise from the ashes reborn (technically she rose from Jamaica Bay). My votes are for Mariah., The Redemption of Mariah/Mimi, or Phoenix. I really hope Mariah releases an album sometime this year. It's been four years since she released MIAM.
