Re: New album title (82,029) (82,035) by B from USA Agreed. janet. doesn't sound dated. Only Mariah's debut (with the exception of Vanishing) and Memoirs sound dated. Both are dated by the production. They both create timeless music and I wish they'd work together. I read an interview in which Toni Braxton talked about collaborating with both Janet and Mariah and how it never happened because of scheduling issues. She ended the interview by saying she still hopes to work with both of them one day. (Thursday 19 April 2018; 15:52)

It's a bold way to open an album and Dedicated featuring Nas is Mariah's best Hip-hop collab since Side Effects with Young Jezzy. Re: New album title (81,873) (82,019) by B from USA Redemption or The Redemption of Mimi or The Redemption of Mariah Carey. Or Mariah. Like Janet's Janet. (Janet's best album in my opinion.) I'm just glad that Jay-Z, Roc Nation, and Mariah's team (and Mariah) have her writing with new collaborators. MIAMTEC is a solid body of work, Mariah's best album since The Emancipation of Mimi or E=MC2. Memoirs is/was the nadir of her career. I think Tricky, The Dream, and Mariah knew Obsessed was a hit and hurriedly put together an album so they could release it as soon as possible however the album was delayed which prevented the single from getting a boost on the charts from first week sales of the album. If both Memoirs and MIAM had been released when their respective lead singles were peaking both albums would have performed better and Mariah would have two more #1's. Thirsty is about Nick not Damizza. The lyrics and adlibs make it clear she's throwing thinly veiled shade at Nick. MIAM is about Mariah and Nick 's marriage and divorce. Former manager sues for Civil Rights violations (81,896) by B from USA This is laughable. She was never working. Everywhere Mariah went Stella and her daughters followed. This will be dismissed. Actually, I hope Mariah sues Stella for defamation of character and breech of contract. I have serve anxiety and I also experience periods of mania followed by low periods. However, I was too ashamed/embarrassed to seek treatment. Her name alone gets her onto the Hot 100 (Infinity and I Don't both charted on the Hot 100) but if she wants to score another hit she needs new cowriters and producers. Her work with JD has become repetitive and redundant. Sadly, I believe his best days as a producer are behind him because he's stuck in 2004-2007. All Mariah needs to do is stay true to who she is as an artist while working with collaborators who can update her signature sound by bringing something innovative and new to the table. I know Mariah is still capable of excellence she delivered with MIAM but chose the wrong follow up single. You're Mine (Eternal) is an amazing song but it's production sounds like a JD and Mariah production despite being produced by Darkchild. It's worked before. #Beautiful seamlessly updated Mariah's signature sound without sounding desperate. She doesn't need to follow trends she needs to set them. I can't wait to hear her next album. It's been four years and although I enjoyed Infinity, I Don't, and the Unforgettable remix I want a proper Mariah Carey album. I want an album filled with hits surrounded by classy filler, lol. I want another Daydream or Butterfly.
