I was just asking. No need to apologize. I think our fellow board members would be better able to reply to you if you copied and pasted the message you are commenting on if it isn't recent. Just a suggestion. Nice to meet you.

I loved Mrs. Obama's playlist.

Mariah's bangs have been giving 1997 vibes. She looks amazing in the Valentine Day pics sje shared and Brian looks hot with that strategically placed towel lol. She needs to release an amazing song asap.

Best Of My Love obviously influenced Emotions but the chord progression is different. The cord progressions of Make It Happen are different than Alicia Myers' song. You can do this for almost every song. Can a chord progression be copyrighted? Haven't all of the suits, not related to the Emotions album/era, been dismissed in Mariah's favor?

Re: Songwriters hall of fame snub (80,849) (80,859) by B from USA
Keep in mind that in 1991 sampling was in its infancy. Wasn't most of those lawsuits dismissed?

Jermaine Dupri is finally getting the credit he deserves (80,856) by B from USA
This article diminishes Mariah's contribution to the writing of the songs she collaborated with JD on. Mariah had already written the lyrics and melody for Always Be My Baby before JD became involved and yet this article says he's responsible for that smash. I guess this is how they justify not inducting Mariah.

Re: MIAM (80,761) (80,767) by B from USA
MIAM is a fine return to form for Mariah after the plodding Memoirs. I think the album would have performed decently had it been released when #Beautiful was at its peak.

Re: Bruno Mars (80,709) (80,721) by B from USA
I would suggest they write songs in the vein of his first two albums. Ballads like Grenade and When I Was Your Man.

The Roof. Mariah looked stunning. The video was beautiful shot and has an actual storyline.

Re: Couldn't Give That Away (80,636) (80,685) by B from USA
Mariah is stil a classically trained vocalist with excellent control of her instrument. It's the instrument itself that has suffered wear and tear over the years and has become unpredictable especially if she's not well rested and prepared. Even when she's not and she misses notes it's still in tune and pleasant to the ears. She's still in full control of her lower register which is criminally underrated. If she decided to sing an entire album or song in her lower register ala Toni Braxton I'd love it but I'd miss the high belts, sustained notes, and whistles.

Miguel and Happy Perez were able to seamlessly update Mariah's sound with #Beautiful.

Re: Mariah's most inspiring song (80,677) (80,683) by B from USA
Can't nobody say Mariah don't love having a ton of background singers on stage with her. The woman even sings with choirs as her backing vocalists. I think she's a huge fan of Phil Spector's wall of sound. Plus she's not as nervous when she's not up there alone. I've also noticed that she tends to harmonize with her backing vocalists. Especially Trey. Has anyone else ever noticed that?

Re: Bruno Mars (80,678) (80,682) by B from USA
I just want them in a studio together. The man and his team are so talented and versatile just like Mariah. I imagine they'd create a soulful uptempo and an epic ballad or two.

ROC Nation pre Grammy party (80,681) by B from USA
Mariah looks stunning on the red carpet while talking to Beyonce. Mariah looks like she did during 97 and 98 and 05 and 08. She looks better than Beyonce. Stunned. If she wants to score a comeback she's got her body back so I think she needs to bring it musically and vocally. Here's a video of Mariah and Beyonce.

Mariah is just more selective with the roles she even considers.

Re: Did Mariah betray her gift or did it betray her? (80,557) (80,563) by B from USA
I think aging has had an effect on her voice but that is natural. I think it's added a grit to vocals. She's still the best singer in world.

Re: It's just a photo (80,543) (80,562) by B from USA
I'm just glad she's in the studio. We all know she likes to record in a private booth with just her engineer present so since people were present and she was having a splash I highly doubt she was recording.

Re: New album title ideas (80,444) (80,449) by B from USA
Mariah should schedule writing and production sessions with Miguel and HappynPerez. #Beauful seamlessly updated and Edgar Ramir signature and was her last hit single. Mariah should also work with Bruno Mars and The Smeezington's. When In Was Your Man is the male version of We Belong Togeter. I'd also suggest Ed Sheeran. I also think she should work with Babyface, Diane Warren, and David Forster. I would love to hear Mariah sing ala Emotions over a Calvin Harris beat or a David Morales beat. If she followed this blueprint and released big budget videos and went on a nonstop promotional tour including visiting every Pop and R&B radio station and doing interviews while being humble, self deprecating, and passionate about her music while looking amazing in high end fashions she could (can) easily score another comeback. I also hope she works with The Weekend. I think she should call her next studio album either M3, Mimi's Vidication, or Mariah.

Re: Tea shirts (80,412) (80,416) by B from USA
Obsessed was a Hot 100 Top 10 hit in 2009 and #Beautiful was a Hot 100 Top 20 hit in 2013 which is impressive considering she was in the 23rd year of her stories' career.

Re: Will we ever see a new album? (80,413) (80,415) by B from USA
Mariah is revolutionary. Mariah revolutionized Pop music. Mariah's influence can currently be seen (and heard) in Taylor Swift's End Game music video. Before Mariah worked with OBD. Pop stars did not work with rappers and now it's not only commonplace it's expected. That is only one of the ways she revolutionized the music industry.
