About Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter:

Re: Trouble at Jimmy (72,735) (72,741) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Honestly if people are going to verbally abuse Mariah and try to harass her for a failed performance than the problem is the people not Mariah. People are so extra hostile nowadays, I read that when she went to the game after Kimmel someone tried to throw something at Mariah but was arrested. This is absurd and not acceptable. Unless she personally attacked these people, they have no right to harass her by cursing at her or worse throwing stuff at her. Why are they so hostile over a performance, you'd think she slapped their kid or something.

New pictures (72,730) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
So some *cough Stella cough* has been reading the message board and saw us talking about how they're not a real couple since he's always behind her like the rest of her entourage and she doesn't even look at him or hold his hands, so voila, we have this and also this. I gotta say she looks absolutely beautiful though and so radiant. Light makeup is best for her. Ok so she wore this beautiful blue dress on her way to Kimmel. For the performance she wore a red gown. Her face here is flawless, she looks like she's Tanaka's age. Ok so basically I saw the performance on Kimmel. She sang mostly live but the song doesn't translate well live, and Mariah looked extremely scared.

Re: "I Don't" on Wendy (72,722) (72,725) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Dahlin' we thought she'd never do a reality show, nor did we ever imagine she'd resort to nonsense cheap publicity stunt, but look where we're at now haha. Her going on Wendy would actually get a lot of attention. Wendy says what the GP basically thinks about Mariah but to this day she has always maintained that Mariah can out sing anyone and has always praised her voice and success. She just takes petty jabs at some of the mess in Mariah's life.

Re: Beyoncé's isolated vocals on Grammys (72,689) (72,695) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Who is to say Stella isn't bringing in the drama herself for the "viral moments"? She seems to think anything that gets attention is good.

Re: Current era (72,684) (72,694) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I hope it's not because she actually didn't pick L.A.'s calls, like it was reported.

Valentie's Day treat (72,693) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
So obviously I was expecting some bath tub moments this V-Day since she already said she'll post some, so here's bath tub moment 1, here's bath tub moment 2 and here is Tanaka hot tub moment. Again, the only good thing I can say about these is Mariah's face, hair and makeup is on point. She looks gorgeous, I could do without the fishnets in the tub, I could also do without the nudity but it's Mariah's World. I hope this time when asked, she doesn't put the blame on Mishka saying "I was in the tub at 4 am and one of my employee's kids came in and took the pictures and posted it" and just admits it that she put it up there.

Lambs attack (72,692) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Lambs are going in on Stella on instagram and honestly I can't say I feel bad or sorry for her because she brought it on herself. What's sad is her kids are being called ugly names and are being dragged, which I don't support but Stella is to blame for this. She kept pushing Mishka in the spotlight and then had her brat moment out for public consumption on MW, and then constantly talking about how Mishka is the perfect employee for Mariah, when she could have kept all this low key and people wouldn't know. She knew lambs were not happy about a 13 year old handling Mariah's social media so then Mishka tried to provoke people more with posting the scandalous picture on her own account reinforcing that the pictures are taken by her. This girl, who is very pretty is now being called ugly and being called fat, all of which will ultimately have a bad effect on her. But I guess fame is everything to these people. Unfortunately they will never be the next Kardashians.

Re: Glitter or current era - worst of all time (72,663) (72,665) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Thing is they need to make aggressive moves to snatch back her throne but her team just sits there and waits for opportunities to come to them. But that's not going to work because her image is so bad right now that opportunities will be few. However with limited connections on Stella's part, I don't see that happening too. Also Stella is mainly influencing Mariah to do cheesy easy bucks stuff like the reality show, the biopic (which I am already thinking is a bad idea, because I've seen there creative vision with the ID video and MW) and Hallmark movies. These won't really do much for Mariah or her legacy. She's a music icon first and foremost but music seems to be the last thing in their minds right now.

Thank you Edward, that was so nice of you. Saw the video and it's adorable. Guillermo is awesome as always haha.

The link doesn't work in my country. But I believe you if you think it's funny. I wish Mariah would do SNL and do some sketches and really show her comedic side. People would like that.

Re: Billboard chart (72,629) (72,642) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Apparently the new house Mariah is renting is $100K a month. Oh man. She should just go back to NYC where she has just 1 guest bedroom so that homeless Stella and her family can't use her home as a lodging home.

Re: Along the lines of #89 (72,632) (72,641) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
This would have charted higher if they'd even bother to so promo, jeez. I just see them inviting radio people and DJs and all but why don't they do these before the release instead of 1 week after?

Re: Rihanna's diamond encrusted flask (72,633) (72,640) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Stella was the one who went on several interviews to make the claims of sabotage but of course Stella can't do these interviews if Mariah didn't allow her. Mariah made a vague statement through her insta only and said she'll talk about it later but it has been over a month, almost 2 and I think she should just let it go. Stella I'm sure is the one who cried sabotage and Mariah being a victim of it before found it easier to digest than acknowledging that she has a circus for a team. I also wouldn't put it past Stella to stage stuff possibly even without Mariah knowing to get "viral moments" which she loves. Because the NYE drama lead to Stella doing full length interviews for the first time. Not one, but multiple.

Re: Rihanna's diamond encrusted flask (72,621) (72,626) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I didn't see the Grammys as a whole just the performances I wanted, I didn't see the Gaga performance but if there was a mistake and it was caused by DCP, it still kinda doesn't go with what Mariah's team said. Her team said that DCP intentionally screwed up the playback in order to publicly humiliate Mariah for ratings. They could have stuck to the "there were technical problems", when the word "sabotage" and "for the ratings" comes up it becomes violent. I don't know if I am making sense, but I hope you got what I meant.

Kimmel (72,611) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Ok so she's definitely performing. She's listed under the "music from" section.

Re: Mariah on Kimmel (72,605) (72,610) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Oh I had no idea, I hardly ever watch Kimmel except for when he has celebs I'm interested in. I'd love for some parodies of just fun sketches. At this point I'm just praying her interview is not like her last Ellen interview where she managed to even irritate Ellen who is usually very friendly with Mariah.

Re: Mariah on Kimmel (72,596) (72,604) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
But Kimmel doesn't even do any skits. Aren't his interviews just sit-downs? It's Fallon and Corden that do the skits and sometimes Conan.

Re: Mariah doing George Michael tribute / Grammys (72,594) (72,600) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Yes I understand, this is why I wrote in a previous post that Mariah's image and career now is basically at a position worse than what it was during "Glitter". The moment they went with the "sabotage" story I just knew she has burned down a lot of bridges. A lot of these TV channels are sister concerns of ABC and the producers behind the DC New Year's event also produces some major award shows so these people can get her snubbed too. As it is, Mariah is already not being played on the radio and now her TV opportunities are limited too. I don't understand how even after being in the business for so long Mariah still made such a mistake. It's just so easy for her and her team to go around everyone and their dads but never look within themselves and see what mistakes they are making. Day by day she's limiting her opportunities and if it goes like this Mariah will have nowhere to go. You are right when you said she brought out the humble Mariah during that time. "Charmbracelet" era showed the humble and sweet Mariah, who was trying hard to win back the people, and she did that successfully. Then came the TEOM era where she was still humble and nice with a touch of "I am a legend". Which was a great balance. Recently her image is such, I can understand why it might rub people the wrong way and that's why people are less forgiving of her. That's why when she messes up people go all in on her because they think she's all about the shade, the extravagant life and the arrogance. This has to change. Like Andrew said, this isn't Mariah, I don't buy that "this is the real her". There is something going on and I hope it's not the start of a breakdown.

Re: Mariah doing George Michael tribute / Grammys (72,579) (72,586) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
They definitely won't be willing to take her but if they were persuasive enough or maybe pay up a little they could have accomplished that. Didn't her previous team get her to sing the National Anthem at the SuperBowl when her career was at an all time low during "Glitter" era? Now her team got her a little spot on Jimmy Kimmel, which is not even popular anymore, what with Fallon and Corden blowing up.

Re: Grammy's (72,577) (72,585) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
We usually separate a Mariah performance from a Beyonce one because Beyonce is an all out performer while Mariah's sole selling point is her voice. But this Grammy performance is a perfect example of all the things Mariah should have tried and didn't. Beyonce basically did what Mariah usually does (minus the self touching) which is barely move yet she compensated with top class production and amazing choreography and visuals. Like who would have thought? She just walked around and yet seemed so powerful and extraordinary. While for Mariah it's always the shirtless dudes doing the usual moves and a little "pick me up, twirl me around" moment with zero vision really.

Re: Major events (72,576) (72,584) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Haha I'm actually scared of the day Mariah will fire Stella because Stella won't take it easy. Her contour will become extra muddy with rage and her mess of a smokey eye will give out real smoke. You are right about the points though, every day I'm surprised at all the missed opportunities. Even some of her lambs have much stronger ideas and plans to get Mariah on track. Yet she employs this wannabe thug.

Re: Grammy's (72,574) (72,582) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Mariah's team does take notes, but not the type you want, they are busy collecting green notes (i.e. money) wherever and whenever they can get it. Because Stella needs her 10% or 20% or whatever she charges Mariah.

Major events (72,572) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I miss Mariah walking the red carpet at major events like award shows and all. I wish she'd just show up sometime and let her presence be known and maybe even get some inspiration from the performers. I feel like her being away from music related events is not really a good move. Can we get Benny Medina back? He gets JLo into every relevant show and everything (even when she has nothing to promote), and before you all bring up the "well did it help JLo's sales? Because Mariah sold more with MIAM than JLo's AKA", I am well aware of that but think about it, both Benny and Mariah have something and lack something. Mariah has the talent, the skills and the voice to make a big impact but she lacks the support team to push her work and to fix her image and to basically reinforce that she is a legend and a superstar (not a reality star). On the other hand, Benny has the skills, the connections, the drive and the ability to make to do exactly that but his client, that is Miss Lopez, lacks the skills, the talent and the voice. So simple solution really, give Stella to JLo and get Benny for Mariah. Because Benny plus Mariah is unstoppable. He can use his drive and connections and most importantly his management skills to really push Mariah's work and get her in all relevant places and make her presence known while Mariah can work on her end and provide the good songs and vocals.

Beyonce at the Grammys (72,568) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Wow, what a performance. Loser Tanaka take note. The woman barely moved yet she had one of the most powerful performance with stunning visuals and production. Beyonce actually has a team with a creative vision, same can't be said about the team surrounding Mariah. The same old lame old stuff are basically recycled in her case. Whether it's performances, or videos or promo plan. It really sucks.
