Saint Mariah, forget about Saint Nick (74,720)
by Edward from USA
| |
|
|
Since some of you seem to have short term memory loss, or maybe long term, let me refresh some of those long lost memories: Ever since Nick and Mariah were seen having maybe the best time of their lives, he, according to the Wrath of the Lambs Book 1, Era 5.1, Chapter 26, was hailed as: A boy toy, too black for her, a gold digger, a user, a player, a guy whose only purpose was to take advantage of Mariah Saint Carey, too poor for her, D-list, not on her level, too mouthy, a loser and so forth. He had all that pressure coming from all directions. The man was working 10 jobs to prove the lambs and the media wrong, and along the way, everybody suffered, he ended up in the hospital and then became "The Abandoner". He wasn't ever given a fat [censored] break. I'm not saying he is perfect, I know he isn't, but he seems to be a great human being. I know that the blood of those who faithfully aby by the Wrath of the Lambs Book 1 boil when they witness that lately the only time Mariah looks genuinely happy without faking anything is when "The Abandoner" is near her. He is such a horrible man. Now, you all got what you all deserve, Contour-Ella Ella Ella. I hope you enjoy her. Actually, Mariah looks so happy with her that her fake smile with her head tilted to the side should be put on wax. The same thing I said when JD jumped ship, I'm saying it now again, the best thing that he did for his own health and to preserve his sanity was to jump ship too. There's always going to be something wrong with the man. Mariah humps, grinds, gives tits and nipples left and right, play with her boyfriends, girlfriends and all, and everything is good. Now, as bad as he is, show me a video where Nick was seen showing inappropriate behavior other than the inappropriate things he said. Oh, wait a minute, according to the Wrath of the Lambs, if Mariah sings a line stating: "I know you cheated [censored]", then it is because that's the way it happened. Nick had a baby with a decent woman and he looks happy without the circus on his shoulder, and I say, good for him. He shouldn't go back to that circus unless Elephantella is removed from being the main attraction.

Saint Mariah (74,714)
by Edward from USA

Everybody uses poor, innocent, "look at me I'm Sandra Dee/Mary Poppins" Mariah Carey. Shrek used her, he even touched one of her tits, it was caught on camera, he's a pervert. And no, Mariah touching her own tits doesn't count her as a self pervert. Tanaka used her for poor Mary and then tossed her to the side. Nick said some childish and inappropriate stuff on interviews and that should be the basis for divorce because Mariah broke one of her nail when she saw them. If a family were to be broken for every time one of the parties says or does some inappropriate shit, marriage wouldn't exist as we know it. The fact that Mariah lost her flying umbrella and a few weaves along the way doesn't mean that's all a marriage is about. Wait a minute, now that Nick senses that Mariah is vulnerable again since Maracas tossed her to the side, he's trying to get the status he lost, by hanging with Mariah minus her chaperone, wow. As good Delulu Lambs we should all hold cyber-hands, keyboards and mice and make a petition to the Vatican, I think Mariah should be canonized. I'm telling you now, if you keep dreaming while sleeping on that side of the bed, you might fall over, wake up and realize you just broke your ass in the process, no pain intended.

So, when Mariah was playing ping pong with Packer and Maracas seconds after the split, was Nick supposed to put his life on hold in hopes that one day they would get back together? Yeah right, cover the right eye and tell me a pirate's tale. The fact that Nick had a baby shouldn't be a factor in them getting together if they truly love each other, are single, and willing to work on it. Last time I checked, they were not separated, they were done. It's different. Dealing with a baby mama in that circle is not exactly the same as dealing with a "I'm knocking on your door for my child support check" baby mama with drama in what we could call "real life". The woman whom Nick had a baby with doesn't seem to be one of those type of women, and they are not even in a relationship. I don't think Nick is willing to go back into that circus and be subjected to all the pressure he was before. I think they should just keep doing the wonderful job they're doing at co-parenting. I can't wait for Wendy to ask him anything she wants, just like Oprah asked Whitney anything on that famous interview.

On second thoughts (74,588) (74,634)

I was doing some soul searching yesterday, and I came to the realization that we've been very harsh on Stella. She's just a single parent trying to make a living for her, her daughters, her parents, etc, etc., etc. While searching hard into my soul, I had a huge epiphany: we've got Stella wrong all along. She's actually helping Mariah. She, her daughters, her parents, her grand parents, etc., etc., etc., are clearly leeching on Mariah, but just so Mariah could recognize a leech in the future. Deep down she's doing her a favor. If Mariah didn't recognize a leech in the past, with Stella, once a few years have passed, Mariah would be fully aware of leeches. Stella is just educating Mariah on how to spot leeches by example. Only under Stella's dominion, a Mariah's video has gotten so many views in so little time. 17 million views is impressive. The casual fans who wanted to see Mariah touching herself made it happened.

You tend to make some of the stupidest statements. "I Don't" was released in 1900 and only has 17 millions views, wow, such an accomplishment. So your point is that most likely it will reach 1 billion views by the year 3000 and a #1 by the year 4000? I agree with you, very impressive. The comments a horrible manager can make for a 30k purse.

I also agree with you. Mariah can always take a song and make it her own just like Whitney did. Whitney could take a song and make you feel it was coming from her soul, as if she had written it. Mariah's subtle but heavenly whistle at the end of "When You Believe" were epic, and it let everybody know unpretentiously, that she was there. If she has run off things to sing about, a little help would do her good. There's a pool of great songwriters out there, she just have to pick a few songs. I think this is the time for Mariah to start fresh, take a few songs from other lyricists, work with new people, diversify her work. She produced some great songs for "Merry Christmas II You", and "Almost Home" was a great song, reminiscent of 90's Mariah. She still has it in her, she just have to team up with the right people and feel challenged to do better. I do have a good feeling about this upcoming album.

Who's there? Stellaaaa (74,489)
by Edward from USA

People, the sooner you make your peace with the fact that Stella ain't going anywhere, the better for your ulcers, pacemakers, weaves, wigs, and forming wrinkles. Mariah seems to be genuinely happy with Stella. She knows everything Stella is doing, and she demonstrated that when she made that stupid comment about being foiled. This woman has inserted herself into Mariah's everyday life. Mariah would fire nannies left and right, but she won't be firing Stella's just like that, her daughters have managed to become part of the twins' and Mariah's life. Contourella is an ass kisser, and our beloved Mariah loves undivided attention disguised as loyalty. So, let's be thankful Stella doesn't know shit about music, and that she won't have any creative input in Mariah's upcoming music other than telling Mariah that everything she produces sound phenomenal even if it's just a fart. So, I'm happy at least Mariah ended that mess of pretense she had with Tanaka, and now she can focus on her music. Nothing against Tanaka, he was working all alone. Mariah just needed to keep the lie after MW was done so she wouldn't look like a liar. Mariah looks very nice in those pictures by the way, and it is also refreshing seeing Mariah on flats. I guess she can walk on those without help.

Amen to that. If God really had favorites, you would be the one for that comment. It's not about anything other than putting the work and making sure that what the rapper's going to say makes sense and sounds coherent. Side Effects and #Beatuful with Jeezy rapping like he meant it are examples of great rap collabos. It doesn't have to be a hit, as long as the quality and work is there. Most of Mariah's quality work weren't hits, but you can always go back and appreciate the quality on "Underneath The Stars", "Vanishing", "Side Effects", etc. One horrible choice for a rapper was for the song "Where Do The Bells Ring for Me". Tony Bennett's rapping was not good at all.

A new day has come (74,395)
by Edward from USA

I'm happy Mariah's announced a new album. I'm not really worried about her not being able to have enough material in such a short period of time, since she's been recording for a couple of years now. I just hope for songs with substance, and for an album more like E=MC2 in terms of mood. I hope for a party record, with of course some epic ballads, but the mood is going to play a decisive part in its success. If she comes with that tired old formulaic R&B she's been rehashing, I don't think it's going to go well. Even though E=MC2 is not necessarily one of my favorite albums, it is definitely great album I usually play from beginning to to end while working out. It never disappoints. And we're going to need for the first track to be titled "You're Out with the Rest of Them (Jo Contour not in fashion any mow remix)".

In the name of all that's holy, what happened to Busta Rhymes? As for Tanaka and Mariah, my friend T.J. sent me a text via WhatsApp this morning, and I was like: They could only pretend but so long. Those who saw Mariah's World know that they were desperately looking for some story lines to stick, but with James out of the picture, things didn't make much sense. Molly is an actress, Stella is still a witch, Mishka keeps messing up Mariah's social media, Tanaka was hired to play a part beside his duty as a dancer, and he complied, that's why I never took it personal with him, he was working for his coins just like Mariah was working for hers. During their fake relationship, Tanaka and Mariah made each other happy, they all got paid. Let's see if Mariah keeps wearing her engagement ring with her next real boyfriend, but I doubt it.

Busta collab (74,276) (74,296)

I completely agree with you. They should just cook a great song and let people decide. As you said, when Mariah hypes things up stating it's going to be as good as some of her past great songs, not necessarily past hits, and then we get these mediocre tunes, it's a huge let down. I'm hoping for a nice tune, but I'm also ready for whatever comes. I don't have any doubts that she's capable of producing great songs, I just don't know if she's still believes it though. For me, Mariah's last quality work was MIAM minus the extra tracks, except for TAOLG. Any song that came after that, "I Don't" know them. It seems to be that when there are no expectations of anything big, she usually comes with something decent. "Help Me Make It", "100%", "Andy's Theme". Listening to "Thank God I Found You, Make It Last" now, Mariah at her absolute best. That's how you get three people in a remix and still come out with something great. It's not about belting really, it's about quality.

Re: Benny Medina (74,249) (74,253)

Stella, Tommy and Sony made Celine the international star that she is. René was instrumental in her success making sure she always had the best, something you don't do for Mariah. He was an exceptional manager, but no matter how good your manager is, without the label's muscle behind it to support the singer, there's no career. There are many artist more and less talented than Mariah that never made it because they didn't find a visionary like Tommy or Clive Davis who believed in them. Mottola was the architect of Celine's and Mariah's careers, whether you like it or not. During his 15-year tenure, Mottola built Sony up from a company with revenues of $800 million a year to one with over $6 billion of annual revenue by the year 2000, and that wasn't just by being just a manager. René Angélil was the best manager any artist could have. He made sure Celine always had access to the best, and Celine obviously listened to him, but without Tommy and Sony behind her, she wouldn't be who she is today. Look where you have Mariah's career in the toilet, giving the middle finger and touching herself is if she were an extra in a 2 Chainz's video.

Benny Medina (74,248)
by Edward from USA
| |

|
Benny Medina, unlike Stella, isn't anybody's baby sitter. He manages many artists, not just JLo. He has a team, he's not a one man show, he actually know what he's doing. He could manage Mariah, JLo and anybody else he thinks he could based on his company resources. This idea that a manager or publicist should be just for one specific artist because they would be conflict of interest is utterly ridiculous. It's like telling a divorce lawyer that he could only represent one client at a time because it would a conflict of interest. Tommy made Celine a star while still being full force behind Mariah's career. Stella is a one-inexperienced-woman show, Benny like Tommy back then has a very qualified team working with and for him that doesn't include his offspring, siblings, in-laws or grand parents. Stella is a one woman live-in show, just like Mariah wants it. Mariah wasn't ever going to get a live-in manager from JD or Randy. The older Mariah gets, the needier she seems to become. So, for those of you thinking that Stella is going anywhere, just make your peace with it. As you could all see, Stella is an ass kisser, telling Mariah repeatedly that she loves her, and that every f*g thing she does is ok, and Mariah loves the attention. So yes, if Mariah surrounded herself by professionals, she could have a second coming. But as she gets older and keeps on clowning touching her tits and giving the middle finger while lying down somewhere, that is very far fetched.

Re: The best judge on Idol (74,164) (74,179)

Dear, show me some receipts that Randy was fired for that. And in that case, that wouldn't have been Randy's fault, but her lawyers'. I don't know if you knew that, but Mariah had a 22-year career by then, she knew how to read and demand, she's not a dummy or a damsel-in-distress like so many here try to portray her. The only female judge got to her head, and she lost a great opportunity to focus on being the best judge to ever sat on that panel regardless of the declining ratings of the show. I don't think Mariah, Nicki or anybody else could've saved that show, but they could've done a better job. Some great stars came out of that show when they were basically the only talent show, but then a diarrhea of similar shows started coming up left and right. I expected more from Mariah as a judge. I was expecting her to talk about those technical things those judges don't know shit about. I guess that some people are great at learning and being something, some others are great at teaching.

Mimi L., you see, there's a difference between being positive and being delusional. Some might focus only on Mariah's positive things and ignore the negative, I don't see anything wrong with that. But then you have those who like to pretend and close their eyes to facts like Mariah is surrounded by leeches and people who are not advancing her career the way a legend of her stature deserves. Just because Mariah goes along with it or says it, it doesn't mean it is the best for career or true. At this point, after seeing the lies on Mariah's World, I take anything they say in Mariah's camp with a grain of salt. For instance, how could you have written a song about a real break up that wasn't real when you wrote it? Mariah's World exposed many things about Mariah that instead of doing good, just lessen her credibility, and those are undeniable facts.

The best judge on Idol (74,146)
by Edward from USA
| |
|
|
Mariah shouldn't have signed up to be a judge on Idol. Not all money is good money. She didn't sue them because she wasn't ever promised to be the only female judge on the panel. Had there been a clause on the contract stating so, she would've sued the hell out of them for sure. She should've just walked away with her millions and be done with it, but she was the first one that started throwing shades, nothing is ever her fault. She was there to judge based on her vast knowledge of music, yet she let her diva persona take over, like when she got late to one of the auditions, and then stated: "Dahling, If you want a diva, you have to pay the price." Well, if you play the diva role long enough, then you also have to pay the price, and you've been paying for a while now. Nicki is nowhere near Mariah's talent and knowledge of music, yet she was definitely a better judge. Mariah got lost in being nice all the time, and that's not what the competition was necessarily about. It's not about hurting people's feelings like Simon used to do sometimes, but it isn't about being afraid to say something that might make the contestants feel bad when they have clearly f*d up. Being the most influential figure in music to have ever sat on that panel, all eyes were on her and her expertise, but she fell flat and forgot why she was there. I don't think that was a 20 million job. The truth is usually somewhere in the middle, and just because Mariah portrays herself a victim of Idol, it doesn't mean she necessarily was. When Mariah kept things classy and didn't bite into bitchy questions, she was perceived better. But things keep getting worse, and it is not necessarily due to the company she keeps. Mariah sabotages Mariah. She's very well seasoned and experienced in the music business, so nobody is really using her as a puppet as some here tend to think.

Mariah took "I Don't" and turned it into "I Don't Know WTF I'm Doing" remix. With all the pictures and exposure Mariah has been getting lately, this new remix will bubble under the Hot 100 in a year or two. She should now sign to be one of the Real Housewives, since music is definitely not one of her priorities anymore. If she's releasing singles now, well, without the pressure of an album on her shoulders, there's no reason for her to keep putting out utter shit. As a seasoned singer and lyricist, she's supposed to be getting better no worse. Ok, the voice is not way near where it used to be, but that's not reason for her to keep putting tracks out there that couldn't even compete with Jennifer Lopez, and that is sad to say. At this point is not even about the voice, it is about the quality over all, and quality she isn't giving. But let's be positive, hold hands, and request, request, and request. Maybe they'll play it 2034.

RibbonT, how dare you? Lol. Celine didn't outsing Aretha, but she sounded great. She was there to sing, and so she did and well. If you can tell me with a straight face that Mariah didn't outsing Luther, then I believe you. I love that duet, I've watched it a million times, and it is still one of my favorite duets from her, but if that isn't outsinging, I don't know what it is. I don't think she went there with the intention to be an ass, but she outsung him out of the theater. Ok, I'm giving you your B back. RibbonB. Love your posts always.

I agree with you Randy. Had Mariah stood up and sung against Aretha, people would've been: "Wow, Mariah really delivered." A 56-year old Aretha was in a playful mode that day, and she made the call, Celine answered the call and didn't disappoint. And yes, my friends back then made fun of me because they said Mariah's voice couldn't be heard. I also felt embarrassed because even though Mariah tried it, she didn't sound great and her voice was drowned just like when Patti LaBelle annihilated a still young Mariah when they sung "Got to Be Real". Mariah once again tried it, but not even her whistle could save her. So, good for Celine. We were all watching "Diva's Live" that day to see the "Divas" let it all out. Mariah solo performances were good though. I don't understand the hypocrisy. Had Mariah done what Celine did, and had Celine been the one who made the comment Mariah did, people would be singing a different song. Everybody seemed to be OK when Mariah outsang Luther Vandross in his own concert, it was an epic duet and Mariah killed it. I haven't heard anybody complain about that. Mariah did kill that performance with Luther and I didn't expect any less from her.
