Honestly, everything has been so bizarre in Mariah's life the past 2 years, we should change the question to "what's the least weird thing according to you in Mariah's life in the past 2 years".

I too think that Mariah doesn't owe Morgan or Alison anything. Morgan did help her out in the beginning and I'm sure he has been financially compensated for that. I don't blame Mariah for cutting them off after they'd repeatedly tried to come for her publicly.

I read that and I was like oh no, is this what she wrote with Crystal? I mean I like the song but I was hoping for a stronger, maybe more fun song with Crystal like TMB.

I'd love for her and Bruno to do a song in the same vein as "Uptown Funk" and YDKWTD. It would be great. I'm really craving an up tempo fun dance song from Mariah.

No lies detected. Mishka's production skill is next level, you all aren't even ready for this. Hold on to your scalp, because y'all are about to get scalped with the fire remix.

It wasn't the real dress, here is a side by side of the real dress versus the one she wore on the video. It's not even close, the color, the cut, the type, the work, nothing at all. Yet they knowingly leaked this fake story as if it would help Mariah's image. This is one of the more solid proofs about how much Mariah's new team make up false stories for who knows what because none of these portray her in a good light. Stella seems to only be able to pick up ratchet drama and Mariah for whatever reason is just going with it. I can't believe the day has come when her image has been reduced to non sense fake drama. Like I can't wrap my head around it, what's their end game? They can't seem to take on step without fabricated drama, but none that is actually helping them. MW was supposed to make people feel like they misunderstood Mariah and how she is actually different, instead it has further bloated up the diva reputation.

Billboard article (72,356)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
In MC's new interview with Billboard, she said that she had originally hoped that MW would be more about the music than the narrative. So then why agree to the mess when you saw the end product? Also she said she's open to Season 2, because she's ready to go back on the road. Girl please no. She also said she didn't get to work with DJ Khaled and Travis Scott, which surprised me because didn't they basically spell it out that they collaborated? Anyways if it's not Khaled and Lionel then who could it be?

Stella thinks as long as something goes viral, it's great. Like that ass picture and how she made Anthony apologize for doubting Mishka. She doesn't care that the so called viral moment (it wasn't even viral) was because people were laughing at Mariah. Same with most of their actions. This wedding dress thing, why create a story that's not true? They didn't have to go out of their way to say it's the real wedding dress when it's not even true. Stella goes by the "all publicity is good publicity", not thinking about how it's going to damage Mariah's reputation in the long run. Like them blaming everyone else but Mariah for anything that goes wrong (the South American tour cancellation, the DCP situation where Stella was dancing around with her kid instead of fixing Mariah's mic), people will think twice before they hire Mariah.

Boomerang (72,329)

The latest Boomerang on MC's insta is really good and I love her adorable outfit in it. I wish she'd dress casual like this on her days off. She looks so nice and youthful.

The weirdest thing is definitely Mariah hiring Stella. Why would an A-list music legend hire a reality show producer with zero background of the music industry (which is Mariah's main profession) as her manager? I could understand if she took a liking to Stella and became friends with her or even give her a small role in her career, but to hire this woman as her manager and then allow her to basically surround Mariah's personal and professional life with only people from Stella's circle is the weirdest thing ever. It's like Stella sucked Mariah into her cult.

Re: Mariah Carey Superbowl (72,255) (72,268)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter

|

She can still go for singing the National Anthem but I don't think the half time show is something for Mariah. I'm not saying that as a bad thing, she has her own style and people go to her concerts to see that. But it's not what the Super Bowl half time audience want. They want the huge visual spectacle. Whether it's Katy Perry coming in on a giant mechanical lion or Gaga jumping from the roof of the Stadium and dancing with suspension cables, Beyoncé making a huge political statement and so on. Even when Coldplay played last time, they became a meme about how Beyoncé and Bruno Mars overshadowed them.

The songs Lady Gaga performed were some of the biggest hits. Everyone knows Bad Romance, Just Dance, Pokerface, Telephone, these songs ushered in that genre and repopularized it again back in 2008 and that was done single handedly by Gaga at that's time. At most people didn't know "Million Reasons" which was her new song.

Re: Who do you think the male artist is? (72,239) (72,244)

It's not Lionel and it's not The Weeknd, as confirmed by Liron. Kinda glad it's not Lionel, don't get me wrong, the man is a legend in his own right but I really want it to be someone current. Chances are it's DJ Khaled and Travis Scott. But she did say it's top secret yet their studio photos have been all over the social media. But MC said something like "they'll kill me if I reveal it", makes it sound like it's for someone else's album, like maybe DJ Khaled.

Re: Mariah needs to do Superbowl (72,235) (72,243)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter

I think Gaga did a great job, let's not drag her down. The woman put on a stellar show. Personally I think a Super Bowl for Mariah would be very risky. Each year every performer, especially in the recent years try to out do each other and bring it bigger and better. They go all out. Mariah has some great songs that would work really well for the Super Bowl but I don't know if she can "put on a show" on the scale of the Super Bowl. Like a visual spectacle, big budget performance. But that's just my opinion. Like I said, she does have the songs that would be great for the set list and would translate great live, but if she doesn't put up a big show, people will drag her through and through.

Parallels (72,237)

This was a neat idea. Showing some of Mariah's signature video "moves". It shows parallels between "I Don't" and some previous videos like WBT, "My All", "ISB Pure Imagination Remix" and "ISB Orgiinal Version".

Mariah hosted a party (72,213)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
| |
|
|
So seems like Mariah hosted a party for some sorts for "I Don't" where she invited people from the media and radio among other people. She looked absolutely stunning. Everything from her hair and makeup to her dress was great. Even though the dress exposed a lot of Mimi, it still doesn't look trashy or obnoxious. Here is another photo from the night. I don't know what exactly the party was for, but I'm guessing it's for promotions. Popular YouTuber Pactrick Starr was also there and teasing about a possible collaboration, which would be a good idea. She should get Bart Baker to parody her video, that always gets the streams up. And look at how amazing Mariah looks here. Exactly like she did during TEOM. Just in case you all were worried, Tanaka was there too. Here is a video with the boy toy. That corny dance move yet again, Mariah is trolling me by now. Cake moments.

Mariah attended the premiere with Roc and Roe. The kids are growing up to be such cuties. Here is a full shot of Mariah's ensemble. She looks great, I love the hair and the casual outfit. She looks like her 2006 self. Another picture with the kids.

Re: Live performance? (72,174) (72,177)
by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter

I really hope she has some performance appearances lined up. They are sending the song to many stations, but they need to go all out with promo if they want a hit. So far it's doing really well and the video is still trending #1 on YouTube, thanks mostly to (1) lambs (2) prepubescent thirsty boys (3) people clicking to see her burn her wedding dress. Haha kidding, but it's always nice to see Mariah doing well. No matter how much I disagree with some of her recent actions, I get really happy when I see Mariah doing well.

Re: What advice would you give Mariah? (72,170) (72,176)

1) Learn to love yourself and rely on yourself instead of surrounding yourself with only people on your payroll who will never tell you the real truth if it's harsh. Coming from a broken home and darn near poverty, you have turned yourself into a multimillionaire, and one of the most successful artists in the world, in a profession that you have always dreamed of succeeding in. You have proven that with talent and hard work, anything is possible. You have come a long way on your own so trust yourself and appreciate yourself. Behind the over the top diva, I believe there is a very insecure person who constantly needs validation. Don't let people take advantage of that anymore. 2) Give Stella the heave ho and lure Benny Medina back into her squad. 3) Wear clothes that are classier, no one is asking her to cover up but going out for a stroll on bodysuits and fishnets or with her undergarments worn as the main ensemble does nothing to flatter her. She's a beautiful woman and she can dress sexy but with class. (I'll assist B here and plug in "hire Rachel Zoe".) 4) Let other people write songs for you, you have proven time and again that you can write songs from any genre and come up with the most brilliant lyrics, you have nothing left to prove. Let others write a few songs for you, just to see how it goes and since you have already given up shame with the publicity stunts, might as well use some current young artists to get some help on the charts. Again, I think she can very well in Top 40 by herself but hopping on to a song with a current artist will open her up to newer audience.

No celebrity in their right minds would hire someone who has no experience as a manager, no matter how trashy they are. Even trashy celebs would be scared that Stella will lower their image further and live on their dime.

I love that remix and I remember Mariah said that even after she injured herself, she told Nick to stay back (when she was being taken to the hospital) and to finish the shoot, she also said she went back the next day and shot some more scenes. That's why it surprised me even more when she decided to trash it and never let it see the light of the day.

Oh wow, that's such a great idea. Mariah's fans comes up with the best promotional ideas for Mariah honestly. I've seen stuff on instagram promoting "I Don't" which are neater and much better than the official campaigns.
