About B from USA: Slowly but surely®™ The Vindication of B ®™

On a positive note (76,943) by B from USA
Mariah looks stunning in the pictures of her swimming with her children and celebrating the Fourth of July. She looks so much younger in this pictures than she has in a while.

Chriatnas [sic] in Vegas? (76,922) by B from USA
Is Mariah really going to do her annual Christmas shows in Vegas this year instead of NY? I was so looking forward to seeing her in NY this December.

Blackish (76,921) by B from USA
I was watching Blackish the other night and they were arguing about who wrote All I Want For Christmas Is You (it was a Christmas episode). The grandparents thought it was a cover of a 70's song until the son told them Mariah wrote it. Sadly most people still think it's a cover. I laughed out loud when one of the character said all Mariah wants for Christmas is to go back in time to fix her prenup with Cannon. Maybe she's taking on all these side projects because she's paying him spousal support.

Re: "I Don't" reached 19 million views, what do you think? (76,916) (76,920) by B from USA
Lets be honest, people aren't watching J.Lo's videos for the music. They're watching to look at her body. If Mariah was in Touch My Body shape when she filmed all of her videos she'd be able to reach the same demographics JLo does. Horny boys and men.

Re: Wild Thoughts (76,910) (76,914) by B from USA
Guess we should all start streaming both of those songs so they keep Rhianna from getting another #1. I imagine Mariah will throw a vase at the wall or murder Stella if Rhianna ties her record. I don't think she'll break Mariah's record. She'll suffer the same fate Mariah, Katy, Britney and countless others have faced; she'll release an album that will fail to find an audience. If she's able to come back to prominence after that she'll either tie or break Mariah's record but I don't think she's got enough talent to make a comeback like Mariah did. Once EMD is no longer popular and it's been waning for some time she'll be replaced by a new younger It Girl.

Re: Help (76,905) (76,911) by B from USA
I believe she said something similar in the Rolling Stone profile of her from late 1990 early 1991.

I've always assumed those songs were written about Jeter.

Re: Fourth of July cover (76,876) (76,880) by B from USA
I love Fourth of July. It's one of Mariah's best songs. It's a lyrical masterpiece. She paints a vivid picture with her lyrics. It's like a Hallmark card come to life.

Re: Gosh I hope at least some of this is true (76,864) (76,870) by B from USA
I hope it's true but it's probably not. A lot of these stores give celebrities their merchandise for free the publicity/press.

Mariah (76,869) by B from USA
Mariah needs a vocal coach, personal trainer, and stylist stat. She's about to embark on her tour with Lionel and she's recording an album and instead of preparing she's off doing photo shoots for side projects that she should have never agreed to take on. Further proof of Stella incompetence. I think this shows what Stella's motives are clearly. She doesn't care about Mariah's career or legacy, all she cares about is making money while taking her entire coven on vacation under the guise of being Mariah's team. Supposedly Mariah was so angered after the Israel press conference that [she] canceled another press conference scheduled for later that same day. Remember when she had a publicist who wouldn't allow this nonsense? Mariah is to blame as well. She's lazy and misguided. Stella allows this because it gets her phone ringing and she gets to think she's important. I honestly believe she sabotaged Mariah's NYE performance to get her 15 minutes of fame. Which is exactly what she got, a Billboard profile published the next day. Here's the link.

Re: Connecting the dots (76,865) (76,868) by B from USA
I forgot about Dedicated. Does it really count though? She just mentions the Fantasy remix and ODB. She didn't actually incorporate any of the Fantasy lyrics into it, did she? I also forgot about Subtle Invatation. Two of her best songs, in my opinion. I wish she had filmed a video like Jennifer Lopez Ain't It Funny with Nas for Dedicated.

Re: The House (76,866) (76,867) by B from USA
It flopped because Will 's star has dimmed in the US in recent years and because it's a bad movie. It's gotten terrible reviews and I'm glad Mariah's cameo was cut or never completed. She didn't want to do what the director wanted her to do which wasn't what she agreed to do. Obsiviously she wasn't in breech of her contract or she would have faced legal action. Finally Mariah showed some common sense. How would making a cameo in a b-movie help her career? It wouldn't. Did the Hallmark deal end? What happened there? A Christmas Melody was corny but cute and Mariah's Merriest Christmas was great but she hasn't finished the other films and there's been no announcements or casting calls. Did it end? Isn't it no longer happening? If so I'm glad because Mariah doesn't need to star in films she's directing. She should only work with Lee. I hope she makes another appearance on Empire but this time with a storyline written by Lee and directed by him. A Norma Desmond like breakdown for Kitty complete with vase flying and dishes thrown on the floor, lol.

Re: DJ Khaled (76,857) (76,859) by B from USA
I thought they were in the studio working on something so it does seem strange that nothing came from those sessions. Oh well, indeed.

Connecting the dots (76,856) by B from USA
Pop stars love to weave together and drop little easter eggs throughout their catalogs that harp back to a song or two. This is an excerpt from an article I read earlier and I thought it would be fun to apply this to Mariah's impressive catalogue. An example of Mariah weaving two songs together is Lullaby. Another example is For The Record. Can y'all think of any other examples?

Re: "I Don't" reached 19 million views, what do you think? (76,831) (76,853) by B from USA
Yes, it's important to her career. Streaming is now just as important as airplay and album sales.

Maybe whatever they recorded is for her album.

You forgot about The Remixes.

Re: Jazz album (76,839) (76,841) by B from USA
I don't think her next album should be a jazz or gospel album either. I want a Mariah Carey album.

Re: Jazz album (76,834) (76,840) by B from USA
A Neo-Soul album would be pure bliss.

Prince (76,832) by B from USA
The Paisley Park remastered album, overseen by Prince himself in addition to a new "From The Vault & Previously Unreleased" disc with 11 unheard gems from the storied vault is available now. How I wish Mariah would do this for Butterfly. She didn't seize the opportunity with Mariah Carey and Daydream. I hope she didn't do so because she's planning to do something to commemorate Butterfly's 20th anniversary. I'd be happy with a version that includes live performances, music videos, and remixes from that era. I also hope she does something to commemorate Butterfly's anniversary. Imagine what she has in her vault. She wrote Lead The Way during the writing of Butterfly and I'd love to hear any other songs she wrote during that era even if they're just demos.

Re: Jazz album (76,823) (76,828) by B from USA
If she rearranges the songs for live performances, like she does TGIFY, she could do any song justice live.

Re: Jazz album (76,811) (76,814) by B from USA
Why does her age matter? All that matters to me is if she delivers an amazing body of work or not. I hope her new album is as good as her last album with some experimentation.

Re: Jazz album (76,802) (76,807) by B from USA
I think Mariah doing a gospel or jazz album would be a smart career move. I hope she does a gospel album. If she does I hope she works with Loris Holland.
