Re: Can we all celebrate the fact (76,707) (76,710) by B from USA
I never said it was one sided. I was summarizing what members of both of their teams said in the profile on Packer. They both agreed that Packer dragged Mariah to business meetings because of who she is. They both also claim it was a PR stunt on Packer's behalf and that she was a part of some five year plan of Packer's. Did she use him for something? Probably but he seems to have gotten more out of it than she did. He made her look like a fool so she made both of them look even worse by including the Tanaka storyline on Mariah's World.

Re: Thanks for Nothing in Baku (76,699) (76,709) by B from USA
I love Thanx 4 Nothin'. E=MC2 had so many songs that could have been hits like Side Effects, I'm That Chick, and Thanx 4 Nothin'. Releasing Bye, Bye as the second single from E=MC2 is one of the biggest mistakes ever made in Mariah's career. It killed the albums momentum and every album she's released since had suffered the same fate.

Re: Can we all celebrate the fact (76,701) (76,704) by B from USA
I shared a link to Vanity Fair's profile on Packer in which both a member of his team and a member of her's said it became obvious Packer was using Mariah when he started dragging her to business settings in countries where she's well known like Japan. Funny how after the breakup Japan officals detained his employees. Correction it was China and Chinesse officials that detained Packer's employees after the breakup. Here's the link.

Re: Legit question (76,599) (76,640) by B from USA
It seems that even Mariah has forgotten that she's a singer. I mean what's next Mariah (and Stella) endorsed douches?

Re: Using MC name (76,608) (76,635) by B from USA
I'm glad her "cameo" was cut. Mariah has redeemed herself as an actress but she needs to be more selective with the roles she even considers. She's already played a fictionalized version of herself in a bad movie before and she shouldn't do it again. She needs to work with directors that can elicit strong performances from her. Please hire a manager that has some competence.

Out and about in Paris (76,625) by B from USA
Mariah looks good in those pics. Looks like someone besides Stella dressed her.

Re: BET Awards (76,617) (76,623) by B from USA
They (the public) don't follow Mariah's career as closely as we do. They didn't know about MIAM, Infinity, Infamous, or I Don't. Most think her last album was TEOM or E=MC2 and the last time they heard about Mariah was either the NYE debacle or the Rockefeller debacle.

Re: Can someone recap the Memoirs remix saga (76,619) (76,622) by B from USA
It was an attempt to create interest in the Memoirs album and capitalize on it. Unfortunately, the remixes were uninspired (copy and paste remixes) and the single second released to promote it did poorly and the album was scrapped. I'm glad it was. I think the Memoirs era was messy and unispired. I think they knew Obsessed was a hit so the rushed and released it.

I've only heard a very poor quality version of it and read the lyrics. Maybe if I heard the finished version it would change my mind.

Re: Who would you pick (76,354) (76,357) by B from USA
Eric, his original message is the following: The world is a darker place with people like you in it. You're a bomb short of a campaign, you nut job. Did it say anything about me disses other artist? No, it's him being a hateful queen. We just lost a member of the board to a nut job on a campaign with a bomb.

Re: Who would you pick (76,354) (76,356) by B from USA
Fair enough. But for him to use the word bomb and best believe it was intentional was a new low.

Re: Who would you pick (76,345) (76,353) by B from USA
You're a bomb short of a campaign, you nut job. Really? I've avoided you and will continue to do so but you've kept trying to bait me. I only replied because of your choice to use the word bomb. Which is tasteful but coming from you I should have expected it.

The One and Usher's Confessions (76,347) by B from USA
When Mariah released The Emancipation of Mimi everyone said she copied Usher's style on certain songs like Shake It Off. This is utter nonsense. Usher's Confessions is a copy of Mariah's The One. Lyrically both songs are confessional and deal with relationships. I wish Mariah had released The One. If she resung the song in full voice instead of a whisper she would made a comeback earlier. Which is exactly JD told her ass to do. Sang. However, at the time she was resting her voice and working with a vocal coach and specialist.

Re: Who would you pick (76,324) (76,343) by B from USA
She needs to keep her personal life private. She doesn't need to do reality shows or talk about her relationships. Mariah get it together. We've had two years of Stella and Companies messiness tarnishing your brand and name. Yes, you're a legend and they can't take that away from you but your employees are killing your chances at a comeback. They're keeping you low so you're on their level and they can be your equals when they never were or will be.

Re: Who would you pick (76,325) (76,341) by B from USA
I think it, whatever it was, occurred sometime between her accident in 2013 and 2014. The divorce destroyed her confidence.

Re: Skydiving (76,330) (76,339) by B from USA
Skydiving or Memoirs isn't Mariah at her storytelling best. I'd suggest Petals or Close My Eyes. Of the Memoirs album her best storytelling song is Betcha Gon' Know.

Re: Mariah Pride (76,332) (76,338) by B from USA
Your message reminded me that I need Mariah's Rainbow and Glitter albums to complete my collection. Someone stole both. Hard to believe out of every album of Mariah's they chose those two. Different strokes for different folks.

Re: Who would you pick (76,322) (76,337) by B from USA
Katy is now a has been so is Rhianna. Katy's album and its singles are flopping. Rhianna only scored one #1 off of her last album after releasing a string of singles that were deemed failures because chart wise if it's not a #1 it's a flop (how she managed to amass all those #1's is obvious but I digress). Bey doesn't make much impact on the Hot 100 except for the first few weeks of her album release and hasn't had a #1 in year. None of them have sold anywhere near what Mariah was selling at the same stages in her career. Besides Rhianna and Bey's sales figures are bought. Rhi's by a cellar company and Bey's and husbands streaming service. Most of their figures are album equivalents. Adele is the only artist that is on Mariah's level and she only scored one #1 single and her latest album although huge it wasn't bigger than her previous album. Will she be able to do it again is the real question. Hello carried that album. I thought When We Were Young was going to be another #1 but it stalled in the 20's. Let me clarify Rhianna and Beyonce aren't irrelevant culturally but they're no longer relevant musically. Unless you're a member of the Navy or Beehive. I used to love both but I don't hookless songs without melodies. Beyonce's 7/11 was the only song I've liked Beyonce's since Halo. I forgot about Taylor Swift she's second only to Adele and she racked up a few #1's and has won the Album of Year Grammy twice. Rhianna most sets trends these days (most are just mixing today's looks with looks from the 90's and having an IDGAF attitude).

Ozzy. I don't know any female besides Madonna, Britney, and Gaga that haven't emulated or paid homage to Mariah. Sheryl Crow and the Lilth Fair lineup including Paula Cole carries themselves differently.

Re: Channeling the Buttefly within (76,296) (76,305) by B from USA
First Stella has Mariah do a reality show, then have her spotted at The Ivy, and now she has her not wearing underwear. Who does she think Mariah is? Paris Hilton? I know Paris was once considered the most famous woman in the world but Stella that was a decade ago. Mariah hire a manger with some competence and isn't stuck in 2006.

Mariah Carey helps Lena Dunham take down trolls (76,250) by B from USA
Lena, who is supposedly the voice of her generation, said she invokes Mariah when confronted by angry men. Maybe I will as well.
