Re: Mariah has got to stop (76,407) (76,409) by Edward from USA
Andrew, as much as I don't like Stella, and as Nick said, Mariah manages Mariah. I don't blame Stella, but Mariah for going along with the craziness. As for Mariah being medicated, I do agree with you. Morgan said Mariah was bipolar, and even though I don't applaud him for putting her business out there, I believe he was telling the truth. I also believe the medication she takes has an effect on her weight.

Randy, I don't know if you see it, but the way things look and if they continue that way, Mariah is fast approaching Madonna's zone in terms of relevancy music wise. She has about 5 years to produce two albums. The success of those albums will greatly depend on whether she keeps with her recent shenanigans or make a 360 turn for the best. I never thought I would see "the elusive chateuce and reality TV" in the same sentence. Mariah put the elusive part of her life in the closet and now has become a media whore, and that's so sad. Such an incredible talent put to no use, and such an incredible catalog tarnished time and again with uninspired mediocre tracks. Mariah is not embracing the fact that she's getting older like the rest of us, so she's acting out like a woman going through a midlife crisis trying to desperately hold on to a distorted vision of what she used to be. I think she should produce one album and retire and safe herself the embarrassment. I feel like I don't know this woman anymore.

Channeling the Buttefly within (76,296) by Edward from USA
I actually think Mariah looks stunning without panties. She definitely has gotten to a point in a her life where she doesn't get her panties in a bunch. She seems to be invoking Cruella De Vil with that dress though, but that's Vegas baby. Getting into Edoard's frame of mind, I would say she's making a statement here since we've never seen a butterfly wearing panties. She's excused.

The older fans at MCArchives appreciate your diss. Thanks for being one of us. And I don't know where in Alaska you live, but this website is a true reflection of her fans. Yes, the fans that actually buy her music, no those click-fans that flood Mariah's social media accounts by the millions but never purchase shit she releases. In my opinion, you are bleak to come here and complain on a platform you so vividly abhor. Besitos.

Eric, red alert (76,163) by Edward from USA
Eric, there's something very suspicious about B. If he's from Indiana, why isn't he indian? Very suspicious.

Re: Mariah and Madonna (76,154) (76,158) by Edward from USA
B, you know I like most of your posts, but sometimes you say some shit, I want to come to Indiana and choke you. Madonna and Mariah are both irrelevant. Most people 10 years older than us think Mariah sounds like Ariana, that should tell you something there. Madonna, just like Mariah, has her name cemented in the history of music. Let's not downplay Madonna's contribution to the music scene and how she also paved the way so many others female artist could express themselves freely. Every star, including our beloved Mariah, fades away. And I know you're not from Indiana, lol.

Re: Brett resurfaces (76,103) (76,109) by Edward from USA
You really sound like one of the characters from "The NeverEnding Story". Yes, Mariah is going to bring back her unicorn from the set of the "Touch My Body" video and explain convincingly the reason why she keeps wearing the ring that was given to her under the promise of marriage while she's parading herself with her very own cougaree, Brian Tanaka. She'll definitely explain.

Celine Dion at Billboard 2007 (76,067) by Edward from USA
I finally got to see Celine Dion perform "My Heart Will Go On" at Billboard, and it was a beautiful performance. She sung MHWGO in a lower key, but the woman definitely has such confidence that reminds me of Whitney Houston in her glory days. I think she used some pre-recorded track for part of the climax, but the blending was perfect. Had she used the vocals from the CD, it would've been noticeable. The respect people in the audience showed was almost palpable. I wish Mariah would give a performance like this sometime soon. But everything would have to be on point, from the prodcution, dress, voice, confidence to the lipping. I don't see why some people hate on Celine as if by hating on her Mariah would be doing better or something. I'm actually glad we still have Celine around, she doesn't sing like she used to, but she makes the best of what he has.

Re: Celine Dion performance (76,056) (76,064) by Edward from USA
Mariah should get on RuPaul's "Lipsynch for Your Life" class. RuPaul's Celine's coach. That's why she's that good at lipping. Thank God Mariah is not covering her face with her arms every time a lipping part is about to happen, and she doesn't spin like a spinning wheel either anymore, that would give her up every time. Those days of dubbing are gone for her, that's why she's usually exposed, not that she didn't do it in the past.

Re: Janet Netflix series (75,943) (75,947) by Edward from USA
I agree with you. And Netflix would rather close down than give Mariah an opportunity to direct anything they produce. I think Mariah should stick to exclusively sing and write. She's not even good at doing reality, lol. There's a scene on "How To Get Away With Murder" where Annalise Keating is shown taking off her wig and make up. I'm pretty sure Mariah would've cursed the hell out of E. had she been asked to be shown make-up and weave-less on MW. Lol.

Re: Janet Netflix series (75,941) (75,945) by Edward from USA
Janet, by the way, is a good actress and has been involved in a lot of successful projects. I don't think she would engage in reality TV out of desperation.

I'll do it for money, honey (75,918) by Edward from USA
Some tend to say: "If the music is good, people will buy it", leaving out important factors like whether there is a connection between the fans and the artist or whether the artist is a jackass, an obnoxious diva or just a person perceived as arrogant. Mariah and Kanye come across as arrogant divas. Even though Mariah doesn't come as crazy as Kanye. Looking at Mariah's attitude from the 90's and most of the 2000's, we can see she was better respected and liked than the Circus Mariah we have today, and it is sad that everything has come to this. Barbra Streisand, different from Mariah, cultivated an audience that will follow her until the day she's no longer with us, but she did it with consistency all along and making sure her brand wasn't ever cheapened. Nobody can say she didn't take chances, because the woman basically did it all, having the following awards under her skirt: Grammy, Tony, Emmy, Oscar and Golden Globe. That tells us that by taking chances at doing different things, you don't have to cheapen your brand and reduce your career to that of a talentless reality tv star. I always thought Mariah would be like Barbra when her popularity wasn't there anymore, but I was dead wrong. Mariah's career/brand started falling apart when her focus switched from doing what she loved and getting money from it to doing whatever for money.

Merry Christmas II You (75,879) by Edward from USA
It's impressive how Mariah was more focus on music while going through a high-risk pregnancy. MCIIY was a great album, her voice improved tremendously, recovering some of that buttery tone she had lost in the 90's. I was like: This woman is about to give birth(so dramatic) on stage while singing "One Child" at "Christmas in Washington 2010" and on top of that with her very own set of polyps and nodules, yet she gave us a great performance. That's the Mariah most of us fell in love with, the Mariah that put together a song like "One Child" and delivers it with conviction and mastery. That's why I don't understand how after "Almost Home", "100%" and "One Child", she could come with "I Didn't" and "Oh no, I Didn't" remix and expect people to take her seriously.

Re: Mariah lost the plot after Memoirs (75,876) (75,878) by Edward from USA
When "Obsessed" was released the music industry was definitely morphing into something completely different from what we had experienced, but Mariah seemed focus on promotion and serious about her music. Somewhere along the way after "Angel's Advocate" was shelved, she lost interest. It seemed to be that her muse or love for music wasn't there anymore. Yes, she's always said music is her passion, but it keeps looking like she's only saying it and not acting on it. Did she run out of things to sing about or did she hit a creative wall? Maybe, it happens to people, and she's only human, but I rather she takes her time to create great music than putting something out thinking her name would be enough for it to successful when she's not relevant like that anymore. I would actually be happy if she came with a great album in a couple of years, and not an album full of mediocre music that would look like a stain in her impressive catalogue.

Re: Message from Martyn's mom (75,869) (75,877) by Edward from USA
It was definitely beautiful. When Martyn posted how his heart was breaking because his mother hadn't sold anything at that fair, it also broke my heart and I understood how much they really loved each other. She must be proud Martyn had so many people who genuinely loved him. If he's watching from anywhere, he must be proud and happy.

Preach, Lila. You've stated it precisely and concisely. Shawn is just another enabler playing along with the other players. I doubt we're getting a new album at the end of the year.

Love Takes Time was sung during all her Vega's "#1 to Infinity" shows. She didn't actually sing the whole song, but she did a decent job with it nonetheless.
