[Ironically] the name of the song is [Unforgettable]. I believe French Montana is a fan and he came to America around 1998, right when Mariah started all her hiphop collaborations and helping young rappers/singers get to the top: PeterGunz, Amil, Joe, Jay-Z, Da Brat, Elephant Man, Bone Thuggs and Harmony [sic], Lord Tariq, etc. She basically started a trend. In the video I linked from the Oslo concert, Mariah is as effervescent, fun, vocally agile, and physically at ease as ever. That's what I meant. I think Mariah is under a lot of pressure, to be succesful, to be there for us, to be there for her children and finally moving on to the love life she deserves. Whether it's with Bryan Tanaka or not. She also has to deal with things we're not aware of. And I believe it's a lot. She's had some off days. Yes. Mariah's instrument is her voice. When you're a dancer and you are bruised, you can't go on stage. When Mariah's voice is not at its best, she's still going on stage. I'm a singer, and some days, the voice is not as good as the day before, or the next. And I'm not talking about being sick, I just mean that the voice is kinda like the weather forecast. Not very predictable. Unless you're very careful, which Mariah is. But it means that she has to save her voice on some shows in order to deliver for the next. I know she does her best with what she's got. We can't deny that. It may be frustrating but I mean, are we on everyday? Clearly not. I feel so lucky to have this woman in my life. Re: MSG (77,989) (77,990) by Edouard from France I actually like the fact that she's a special guest, even though it would be nice if her and Lionel could meet up on stage at some point. I believe it makes her look young (which she is) because she's "opening" for a legend who is 20 years older that her. I also think it's sort of a re-introduction tour for her. The first 3 songs are lipped so that she can preserve her voice. She warms up slowly but surely on stage and delivers the 5 last songs (ballads) with beautiful vocals. I think it's smart. Pisces is great, I believe there are 2 different versions, one sounds a bit like the arrangements on WBT. I would be interesting for Mariah to make a project (a soundtrack would be amazing) only as a background vocalist for other singers. I was worried at first but it is great and really embraces all the different points of view we have here on this forum as well as within the public perception. There is no need to oppose and fight against each other. This article finds a way to be objective without shaming MC. On the contrary it is very respecful and it shows how Mariah may know more about what she's doing than some of us here think she does. She is the industry. She clearly knows it from the inside.
