Honestly I thought the dancing in Mariah's last tour were quite old school and not particularly fresh or modern as he says. Mariah doesn't need all that. I believe the All The Hits tour is perfect in terms of dancing. They just come on stage for a few numbers and that's it. Let Mariah's voice shine. It mustn't be easy to sing the same "old" songs night after night. I don't think Mariah is bored to perform those songs for us, she's just bored and growing impatient to be accclaimed for what's ahead and not behind. At the risk of sounding ultra positive (77,241) by Edouard from France I actually like the fact that Mariah's voice isn't always the same. Some performances are not good. Okay. But I like the fact that not a single performance is the same, except for the lipped parts. She has so many colors and textures to her voice and yet her sound is immediately recognizable. I think Mariah was sick the first two nights (77,231) by Edouard from France She probably was on cortisone, hence the swollen look. If that's the case, she could not cancel the show because that would have meant another drama. None of the other "singers" in Vegas will cancel a show since they don't bother to sing live, even the easy parts. She looks thiner after a few days, she looks more confident and at ease. It doesn't make sense to me to pretend to love an artist like Mariah and to judge her. I don't feel comfortable being the "they" in "Can't take that away". Re: OK third show highlights (77,085) (77,091) by Edouard from France Hi, I agree with you. Mariah doesn't just sing. She is a singer in the very classical sense of the word. Her mother is a singer, she's been surrounded by singers her whole life. Mariah's voice is amazing, still. When she's rested, I believe she sounds better that during the Butterfly and Rainbow era. I love her performances then, husky voice, full voice, but you can hear the way she sings is not always healthy. I believe that's why she has learned to develop other parts of her voice so that she doesn't strain it too much. She's that smart with her instrument. The thing is that Mariah is not an entertainer, again in the classical sense of the word. She doesn't "dissociate" herself when she sings. It must be hard to mean every words, emote the right emotion at the right time, when you do a show like Vegas, 3 days a week. You have to be able to go from Vision Of Love (first single ever) to IDWC's misery, to Emotion's fun, to Hero's depth, etc. I believe Mariah has so much on her plate, with her artistry, with the job that is beeing a part of the music business, to her family life with the kids, etc. She's doing what she can with what she's got, as we all do. I feel the same way about you and a few others here who love Mariah, the artist, the woman. You haven't been posting a lot lately and I started to worry. It felt very lonely here. Mariah, her music as well as the beauty of her soul which, to me, clearly shines through her music even to this day, have helped me a lot in my life. I don't understand how some people can waist so much time criticizing someone they claim to love. It makes no sense to me at all. If you have nothing positive to say about someone, then it means you don't love the person. So let it go and love someone else. Get a life. And they are not anymore I believe. I wonder what happened. Maybe Stella, who might be a newcomer in the game but who's definetly protective of Mariah, realized something was wrong with his business attitude and that's why he was horrible to her.
