You said a mouthful. 90s R&B music was everything. They certainly don't make a lot of great music like that anymore and the ones who still try to don't sell very well and are deemed flops by the children. Bedtime Stories is the last great album by Madonna for me. The last person I'd ever thought I'd hear on a Madonna song is Babyface. The combination was so odd yet it worked so well. Whomever steered her in that direction deserves so much praise. That whole album was a beautiful surprise.

I'm a great human being and I found that list to be absolutely hilarious. Most of the things that were listed on that list were in fact excuses that her and her team gave for when something went wrong and some were made up by the lambs to make themselves feel better about defending the crap show.
No one made fun of her mental illness. The joke was how the fans tried to use her mental illness as a crutch to explain why she was making the jacked up decisions she was making. That to me is more disrespectful because she nor her team used that as an excuse. Your psycho counterparts did.

The last time she performed there was really chaotic. She was late on the day she was actually supposed to record her performance so they sent her back home. Then they allowed her to perform on the live show and it was bad. I don't think she has performed at this event since then. That's probably why a joke was made.

There's so much I could say about CLG. It's the perfect mix of great vocals and great lyrics. It's definitely a favorite from the Emotions album. I could listen to this song all day and it will never get old.

I like the JTTW piano mix. I've been playing that one back to back. JTTW and O Holy Night are the only two Christmas songs I play back to back and never get tired of them. By January I'm ready to kill AIWFCIY. Lol.

Now wait a minute MusicfanJ. I don't know if she would have outsang everyone, but she definitely would have at least tried. Special K yeah even early 2000s Mariah could have shined.
I have to clarify something. My expectation wasn't for any of the singers involved to actually sing during that event. They were there to be honored and not work. What they did was just a wonderful, impromptu surprise. I am in no way implying that Mariah or anyone else was obligated to sing.
Whatever the reason may have been, it just saddened me to hear someone say she was scared to do something that by the time this event happened, she had been doing for a while. I would rather hear someone say she just didn't feel like singing than hear someone say a seasoned artist of her caliber was scared.

That's how I feel, but I was trying to be nice. I want to believe that it was out of respect, but I know better considering during that time she wasn't at 100%. Had they given the youngins' the opportunity to sing I honestly doubt she would have done it then either. I agree 90s Mariah wouldn't have shied away from that mic.

I do take that into consideration and I understand that having that group of women tearing it up on the mic was intimidating, but I can't help but think that even if it was singers that came out around her era, she wouldn't have done it. It definitely would have been awesome for her to join in. I'll just go back to lala land and continue to believe she was being respectful to the elders and that's why she didn't join in. Lol.

That makes me sad that a person who was named one off the best voices was scared to grab the mic.

They do see him as a threat because deep down inside they know she still has love for him and they hate that she doesn't hate him like they do. Anyway I think they were both joking.

I honestly don't think her voice will be a topic in the book. Like you said it would be great if she did though and it would put a stop all the wanna be vocal coaches and their assumptions if what's going on.

The video interview was definitely better than the print. For some of the same reasons Randy pointed out, I hate the print. I couldn't understand why some of the stuff that was brought up for print. It wasn't needed. The video interview was everything. Y'all know I love Businessriah. I could sit and listen to her talk business and about the industry all day.

I'm one of those people who wants her to give us more than the standard stories in the book. I know there are moments that she can't talk about due to the legalities. I completely understand. The topic I won't be cool with her glossing over though is her vocal issues. I'm hoping that's a topic that she'll be open and transparent about. Of all the things I want to know, that's the most important to me.

Calm down. I'm sure it will start playing. It's just episode 1. There has to be a reason why it wasn't used on this episode. There's too much promotion for the song and the show from both sides to just not use it. Sheesh. Lol. Anyway I thought the episode was cute and funny. The theme song will not be the best part of the show. That was just the dramatics talking. Lol.

I'd love the video of the performance too, but I'm just happy someone finally used their brain and decided it was a good idea to at least include the audio.

The Memoirs era for me was one of her best eras fashion wise. She looked absolutely gorgeous. Black is my favorite color so the constant black ensembles didn't bother me. I never really got why fans always went crazy over her natural curls back in the day, but when she tried to recreate the looks from the first album I had my "oh" moment. The only blips in the Memoirs era was the H.A.T.U. and IWTKWLI videos.

I'm excited about this and I'm sure a lot of people are happy she's including the St. John performances. This is the genius money making move I've been waiting on. Bravo to whomever deserves the credit. Somebody is paying attention to what the fans want. This will be a nice birthday gift to myself.

I agree with her not being featured so much in the video. People will probably still hate it because she has something to do with it, but at least the main focus was the show.

That was the cutest. I hate how the lambs turned Nick's funny comment into something so ugly and negative. They must not know that Mariah liked his comment. So she didn't have any issue with what he said.
