Doesn't Damion have the TGIFY single cover hanging on his wall? I bought a double feature of Clueless and Mean Girls but haven't watched either in a while.

Mariah's formula (76,242) by B from USA
This excerpt from from All Music's review of Rainbow is what Mariah needs to hear at fhe moment since shes working on an album scheduled for release this year: "It's appropriate for any introspective album, it's a bit ballad-heavy, which makes Rainbow seem a little samey. Yet that's not the only reason the record has a weird sense of déjà vu, since this follows the same formula as its two predecessors, distinguished primarily by her newfound fondness for flashing flesh. That repetition isn't necessarily a problem, since she does formula very well, managing to appeal to both housewives as well as b-boys. Rainbow proves that she can still pull off that difficult balancing act, but it's hard not to be a little disappointed that she'd didn't shake the music up a little bit more - after all, it would have been a more effective album if the heartbreak, sorrow, and joy that bubbles underneath the music were brought to the surface. She needs to hire a stylist and she needs to shake her music up at bit more. She needs to work with Frank Ocean and his producers, Miguel and Happy Perez, and Bruno Mars and The Smeezingtons. She also has to do damage control she needs a vocal coach, a throat vocal specialist and she also needs to quiet drinking and smoking. She so needs to rest her voice and the twins are old enough to read. No matter what I'll allows support her. I know what she's capable of."

Re: Curves (76,223) (76,234) by B from USA
Mariah is never going to have her 2008 Touch My Body again. Giving birth changed her body. She knows [she] has hips. She was athletic and lean before she got pregnant now she had child bearing hips and a booty. She'd look amazing if she got a breast reduction and stopped having fillers injected in her face. She started getting fillers injected not long after Stella became her manager.

She's donated to Elton and Elizabeth Taylor's AIDS charities and sported the red ribbon to raise awareness. Unlike other artist who use their charitable acts to gain support or sympathy. This a list of charities Mariah's has made donations to:

American Heart Association
American Stroke Association
Andre Agassi Foundation for Education
BID 2 BEAT AIDS

Needless to say Mariah Carey is a gay icon who wrote the ultimate gay anthem Outside. You're welcome. Before you make statements make sure you can back them up with facts.

Re: You're Mine (Eternal) (76,187) (76,222) by B from USA
I love You're Mine (Eternal). However, it paid been produced by a new producer, a current producer it would have been huge. Imagine if it was produced by Happy Perez, who produced #Beautiful, he would have seamlessly updated her signature sound and made it more radio friendly. I imagine it sounding Motownish like #Beautiful.

Re: Gay anthem? Gay icon (76,204) (76,221) by B from USA
Mariah's a gay icon because she's openly supported gays and employeed them since she began in the industry. She named an album Rainbow.

Re: Curves (76,206) (76,220) by B from USA
I don't think needs to lose weight, she needs a breast reduction and to stop using fillers. My brother says she looks hot in the I Don't video and that he loved the song and doesn't understand why it's not playing on the radio. I told him ageism and sexism and no support from her label. Mariah doesn't need Sony, Sony needs Mariah. Mariah bought the masters to her Columbia/Sony catalogue in 2005. They only really profit when she's on their label and they're releasing her albums. She was even able to include her #1's during her tenor at IDJ on the updated release of #1 To Infinity. She's still a force to be reckoned with in the industry based on friends and her back catalogue. However, she needs a new manager that is well connected in the industry and she needs to rehire (by begging) Cindi Berger and Nash (if he was apart of Stella's mass firing of Mariah's former team). Stella and her family are bad for business and if Mariah's all about money she can find a manager that can make her a lot more money that Stella. Stella isn't trying to help Mariah she's using Mariah and it's plain as day. Everyone notices but Mariah it seems. Someone needs to tweet Nick his opinion on Mariah's new team and how they were able to get Mariah [censored] Carey do to a reality show.

Re: Mariah - gay icon (76,209) (76,219) by B from USA
I remember Mariah talking about her guncles in the early 90's. During interviews during the debut era. She said she left most at home at their house as a child.

Re: Melt Away on Waiting to Exhale? (76,169) (76,189) by B from USA
Melt Away is an R&B song and it was written during the same time Babyface was working on the soundtrack. It was only natural that his work on it would seep into his work with Mariah. I hope Mariah covers Why Does It Hurt So Bad on her new album. Such an underrated song. Celine was recently called the queen of the soundtrack sorry but Whitney was and will always be the queen of the soundtrack. Celine contributed one song to Beauty and The Beast, Up Close and Personal, and Titanic. Whitney had three hits off of The Bodyguard soundtrack alone. She also had Waiting to a Exhale and The Preacher's Wife.

You're Mine (Eternal) (76,184) by B from USA
You're Mine (Eternal) is proof Mariah can still wrote a ballad that can transcend formats like she used to. Mariah delivered lyrically but Rodney Jerkins failed because he followed the JD/Mariah template. Imagine if YM(E) had been produced by Happy Perez.

Re: Question Archives family (76,175) (76,183) by B from USA
Daydream and Butterfly. She needs to revisit the formula she used for those albums and write simple poetic lyrics that are universal.

New sound (76,173) by B from USA
I think Mariah should embrace electro-R&B which also known as PBR&B. It's the same type of music Miguel makes. When they wrote #Beautiful together it seamlessly updated her signature sound without sounding desperate and it worked it was her last hit. Or go full on disco or gospel but please stop trying to relive the splendor of TEOM. She keeps releasing songs that sound like unfinished demos from that era (I Don't and Infamous).

Mariah Carey's boozy wild partying worries (76,168) by B from USA
It has me worried about her voice. She has the residency and her tour with Lionel coming up. She needs to sober up and start working with a vocal coach and trainer asap. She doesn't need to give any bad performances or she'll be toast.

Re: Mariah and Madonna (76,158) (76,167) by B from USA
You can come choke me anytime. Madonna isn't a singers singer. I should have left it at that since yes, Mariah is on the cusp of becoming irrelevant thanks to Stella and Company. She need a new team with new ideas as well new collaborators.

Re: The two sides of Mariah (76,155) (76,166) by B from USA
Eric, I don't know why I used sales figures when the point I was trying to make was, that in my opinion, Mariah's sixth album Butterfly is better than Bey's sixth album. I no longer follow Beyonce's music career because I don't like her music anymore. Like how some of y'all stopped liking Mariah's music after Daydream (Butterfly). Beyonce still is the best entertainer of our time and she's a good singer. (I'd rank her with the Brandy's and Monica's which isn't a diss in my opinion since both can sing (Brandy's Never Say Never album is amazing as is Monica's Street Symphony).)

Re: Mariah and Madonna (76,159) (76,164) by B from USA
I'm not saying she's not iconic I'm just stating that she isn't a singers singer. Her visuals were stunning and she a genius at self promoting. Mariah could learn a few lessons from Madonna.

Re: Headed for an MJ, Whitney, Prince, George Michael (76,149) (76,156) by B from USA
Mariah needs to fire the Russians. Best believe they signed non disclosure agreements when Mariah hired them. What can they say that the public doesn't already know? Mariah's an alcoholic? She's always got a flute of Cristal in her hand in almost every picture we see of her. Mariah smokes weed? She's been claiming purples been taking her higher since It's Like That in 2005.

Re: The two sides of Mariah (76,151) (76,155) by B from USA
She has idiots telling her she needs follow trends to remain relevant despite the fact these artist aren't even relevant outside of social media. Beyonce's Lemomonade hadn't sold over 900,000 copies last time I checked. Yet, she's better than Mariah. Lemonade is her sixth album, Mariah's sixth album was Butterfly. [Webmaster: Last time I checked, Lemonade sold over 2.5 million copies.]

Re: Mariah and Madonna (76,152) (76,154) by B from USA
Madonna isn't on Mariah's level. Mariah pays talented singers their due but she'll never be friends with Madge or respect her. Madonna's irrelevant except when she tours.

Re: Melt Away on Waiting to Exhale? (76,139) (76,153) by B from USA
The Waiting to Exhale Soundtrack is perfection. Melt Away does sound like it belong somewhere between Sitting Up In My Room and Let It Flow. A lot of people think Babyface sang the first verse on Melt Away. Mariah and Babyface created timeless songs that will stand the test of time. Never Forget You and Melt Away. I might as well mention Every time I Close My Eyes. Mariah's background vocals took that song to even higher heights. Mariah please work with Babyface on your new album. Write another Never Forget You or Melt Away. The 90's are huge again and you were the 90's. Revisit the formula you used on Daydream and Butterfly and create another classic album.
