About MusicfanJ from Germany: I'm a fan of Mariah since Daydream came out.

Re: Nick (68,459) (68,465) by MusicfanJ from Germany
So Nick was just dating. But that he made a baby with that 29-year old model tells all. Must be the hardest time for Mariah since 2001. I wish one day she would met a "normal man" not from the showbiz who will make her happy and feel stable. Anyway if she makes a great new album with breakup songs maybe we we will get another masterpiece like Butterfly. And I do hope that Mariah enjoys the Christmas season and that the fans have a good time too. I still believe that after every storm a rainbow appears.

Re: Nick (68,428) (68,454) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Nick broke her heart like Luis Miguel did. But Luis never said stupid things in the media like Nick did in the past. Anyway I'm sure with Mr. Packer Mariah would just show Nick that she can even have a billionaire who does everything for her (the yacht vacation, diamonds and have fun 24/7). Of course this is childish and like someone mentioned here, "our girl" can't stand to be alone for some time. What I fear is that Bryan Tanaka will become the "second Nick". Another thirsty good-looking young man. Although the chemistry with him is much better than with James Packer. It's really like a soap opera even without the docu-series. Unbelievable. It may be entertaining, but it's not good for the image of a star of that caliber.

Re: Mariah Carey One Sweet Day is saved (68,380) (68,399) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Yeah the 16 weeks with OSD are really impressive. But I remember in 96 we had a Mariah-mania around the world. I will never forget, I loved that Mariah was played all day and night.

Re: Glitter album (68,349) (68,352) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I love this album too because of these reasons:
1. The way Mariah sings the ballads is just phenomenal.
2. The up-tempo songs are so much fun, even with the rappers.
3. I love the early 80ies/disco influenced songs. "All my life" is so good, the beginning, the chorus, the groove of it and of course her voice is a dream.
I still think this album was ahead of its time.

Re: So what would you recommend? (68,334) (68,338) by MusicfanJ from Germany
1. Fire Stella
2. Get a professional management (someone who has much experience in the music business and who can handle a living legend)
3. Be natural, shut down the diva-show a little bit
4. Make music 100% from the soul with meaningful lyrics (it doesn't matter of what topic as long as it's pure and from the heart)
5. Give the media a break, don't feed them with gossip (bad press isn't always better than no press)

Sweet on stage while SSF Tour (68,287) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Have you seen this? The walking is sweet and funny. "It's like that" is one of my all-time favorite party songs from Mariah.

Re: New pics (68,279) (68,286) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Oh yes, when I looked at Mariah's face I thought we have the year 99. Amazingly beautiful. I like that the "Vision of love" outfit is mentioned here on the board. Like Catwoman.

Re: New pics (68,261) (68,273) by MusicfanJ from Germany
What's this? A leggings-suit. I'm not a person who's into fashion, but this is nothing that would look good on anybody. Hmm, I still blame Stella for this influence. If that's not the reason I'm sorry.

Re: Article: Mariah's ex James to blast her in "tell-all" book? (68,252) (68,258) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Good points again. I thought the same with the parody of herself. With materialistic I don't know. What makes me wonder she had nothing but become soon very rich at a very young age (when she started her career). So it's nothing new compared to a teenstar. And now with 46 she's only talking about diamonds and luxury. Lambs I just don't get it. Any suggestions?

Super comment. Like a young Cher. Haha. I do hope that we get some new and fresh music too.

Re: (68,227) (68,241) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Hey Kajal, I feel the same way. I'm becoming a sad lamb\fan too. As you sad Mariah during the Butterfly era was the best looking singer ever. I admirered her in every way. To look at her now (since new management) is really hard. I barely recognize her in the latest pics. I thought of Mary Poppins, once she said she felt like that because of the perfection (Daydream time). I wish a little of that would come back. I although loved the Rainbow tour outfits. Sexy and yes so much fun, the nice colours and everything. Again I don't want to be negative, but it feels like I loose my idol. And that hurts. Mariah is not herself nowadays. Her inner spirit is missing.

Re: My Mariah bucket list (68,217) (68,230) by MusicfanJ from Germany
"License to kill" is one of my favorite Bond songs too. Yes Mariah likes Gladys. I just bought me a best-of cd from Gladys Knight. This woman is fantastic, I love all her music.

Love your bucket list. I wish Mariah would realize all the things. Especially the thing with the inner peace and the Bond-song.

I hate these leotards. Looks like a swimsuit, something for the beach. But her dresses are so beautiful. The longer, the short ones in any color. They look wonderful on Mariah.

Re: Ugh (68,192) (68,195) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Oh no. I swear this is a nightmare. It belongs to one of the worst "outfits" I have ever seen. She used to be so gorgous, her dresses during the Butterfly tour were so beautiful and still sexy. But this? How can she think this looks good? There are really no honest people left in her "team".

Re: Carey and Khaled (68,064) (68,086) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I'm sure it shouldn't but the first pic looks funny. DJ Khaled looks like a big Teddy Bear and Mariah like so what's next. The golden jacket reminds me of Glitter somehow.

Re: Yet another nip slip (68,057) (68,066) by MusicfanJ from Germany
It really gets harder every time. As somebody mentioned here why oh why? It has something of self-destruction. I think I will not tune in to watch the "docu-series" as well. Please Mariah stop this "Denver-Clan-entertaining". It's embarrassing, I want new music and most of all that she stops to destroy her image.

Re: This is the real Mariah (68,018) (68,044) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Natalia I understand what you mean. But I think this is not the real Mariah we are seeing sadly for too long. If you're right then Mariah is the best actress in the world and she should get an Oscar for it. It's not possible to play a role for let's say from 1990 until 2003. After that Mariah changed a bit because of whatever. But we all do from time to time. The good dressing from the past was maybe because of her team. But her lovely smile, her talking, her caring and the moments where she was insecure were real. Musically I don't know what to expect. There are so many superstars who feel lonely inside. Maybe this is one reason why she loves Marylin Monroe so much. If I look at Mariah lately I see a lot of sadness and desperation which she tries to hide by this freaking circus. Her failed relationships must be the hell too for her. And then the family drama, it's too much pain.

I just want to say I appreciate that you share the pics Mimi L. Nice red dress, I hope the holiday season will show some "real" Mariah. I mean the lovely Christmas MC.

Re: Clear up rumors (67,902) (67,924) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Does Mariah really live in L.A.? I think New York or let's say the east coast is more her place to live around. Nothing against California for vacation or work but to live there. Definitely no.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey enjoys intimate dinner with backup dancer (67,892) (67,896) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I've always admirered Mariah for being private and professional. I looked up to her almost my whole life, but does any of you know what went wrong? I hate the fact that she is now compared to Kardashians and to all the fake people in show business. I hear Mary Blidge in my mind saying: You're Mariah Carey remember? I wish she would remember and stop this weird circus. The image is ruining her talent and legendary music she made since 1990. Sorry lambs I don't want to be that negative and I have hope for a "happy end" or better era but at the moment the press and all the stuff around her makes me sad. The song "Do you know where you're going to" is saying what I ask myself.

Re: Dark, evil era (67,821) (67,825) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I just checked instagram and again I'm sad because of what I see. (the "Halloween" video with Mariah). It scares me but not on the funny way. What's happening? She looks lost and sad and not for the first time. We can make a lot of music lists to have positive feelings, but I'm so fed up with this dark/evil era. Somebody on this board mentioned it's worse than the Glitter-era. I completely agree, in 2001 Mariah was clearly exhausted. The problem is I don't recognize her and I'm a fan since 1995. I'm really worried. It seems like something really bad happened or has happened. Is it because of the divorce with Nick Cannon? They always seemed so happy. Mariah need real friends around her who has nothing to do with the business to become a butterfly again.

Re: The queen of the diss song will bounce back (67,799) (67,816) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I love Mariah's "diss-songs". She's the queen of heartfelt ballads but the songs about failed relationships are really cool. Prisoner, Betcha Gonna Know and Clown are my favorites.

Re: Remember (67,740) (67,757) by MusicfanJ from Germany
This is one thing I wanted to post. I remember the times too. It was wonderful. I would never believe if somebody told me in the past that one day Mariah would "need" this, act this way and has such strange people surrounding her. Even if it's modern today. It's like a bad movie. I love Mariah and her music, and that's the reason I'm worried. If I'm wrong with the worries I would open some splashes. Lol. Peace and Happy Halloween to everybody who is celebrating.

It's so embarrassing that this woman is mentioned with Mariah and even worst "works" for her. Why did Mariah choose her? I have no ideas left.
