She is also still wearing the ring on her right hand in the API interview about the Grammy's as if she wants to call attention to both the ring and her comments. Petty works well sometimes for a few, but rarely for her, so I am not sure why she wants to work at that level.

Re: After the Kimmel greatness, back to bashing (72,846) (72,858)

People are asking why does Mariah follow good/decent moments with bad, silly or shallow moments? Does she care or not care? People are responding to her actions and comments using common sense, not what she or Stella tells us to think. One minute she says she is private, the next she is oversharing "private" moments with pics taken by a teenager. Mariah needs to stabilize her situation whatever that is.

Lee might be good, at least he is somewhat protective of her. BET has shown her love over the years and as an organization I think they would do a good job. Stella is not the one, nor even the silly rat, Brett Ratner. But more than that, I think it is too early yet for M. to do a biopic and her present day life is a bit too volatile rn.

Gigi, this is an excerpt of the write up that M's old friend posted on Twitter. Again, I'm not saying it is about M in any way, but this part made me think of M and Stellar. They may be a very volatile co-dependent mix rn. "If someone is always surrounded by drama and it's one nightmare after another, and they've been repeatedly supported to get out of their drama but it persists, give up trying to be their savior sooner rather than later. They only have drama in their life and that's why they keep it around. After all, without it what would they be left with? If you don't move away fast enough, they will take a part of your soul with them." It seems M. has adapted the drama circus.

Most people trust M., but not this team around her. Mariah's old team did their job IMO. They certainly seemed more protective of her image and were not as self centered and self promoting as this circus seems to be.

Re: Anthony (72,813) (72,829)

I noticed she mentioned about the background singers and that she could have borrowed one of their earpieces. She also shaded all of the dancers in a way, by saying that they just kept on dancing, but didn't dance her right off stage. I don't think she was too happy about that. I wonder if it is true that she ripped her whole team a new one right after the incident. But ultimately, she or Stella had the option to not go on until things were right, or to stop and say I can't hear a thing. I understand and felt mortified for her, I said it then, but I hope she is not being paranoid that she was foiled vs. there was just some technical problem. But yes, Anthony is doing great working with Beyonce on all of her major moments is a big deal. That chair move was epic, if a little crazy with her being pregnant though.

I also hope for no season 2. Even more than the Hallmark movies, I am concerned about Stellar doing the Mariah biopic. I don't get good vibes about that one at all. Biopics can be great, like the one for New Edition, and even Michel'e, but they can also flop if done poorly.

I saw that and after the interview they said there is more to come from that interview, where she discusses the NYE debacle. The reporter said she says even "crazier" stuff. Stella set the stage, now Mariah is speaking for herself it seems. I just hope her one hour Lionel set is good.

MW season 2 (72,808)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|
|
I just watched an interview with M. in Minn. She is still considering a season 2. She still cringes when she hears reality show vs. docuseries, lol and she confirmed that the Lionel tour is his show, but she is a very special guest with an hour segment. Interesting she says she has only spoken with Lionel once about how they were going to do the show.

Interesting write up (72,807)
by RibbonB from USA

Mariah's old friend Jasmine posted this today. I thought her first segment on social circle was interesting. I am not saying this relates to M. or their old friendship, but I do wonder if they are still friends. M. is very silent with her old friends during this MW era.

Wendy shade? (72,798)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|
|
I just saw this video of Charlie Wilson performing on Wendy Williams last week. At the end of this performance of "Outstanding" Wendy throws a little shade about lip synching. I wonder was that directed at Mimi, Wendy's favorite target. Anyway, I can't wait to check out Charlie's new record and the new one from Jidenna this week. Jidenna might be a good one for Mariah to consider for a collaboration. Something different.

Re: How is it boring when she's always done this? (72,784) (72,796)
by RibbonB from USA

All this fake outrage over the word boring? Of all of the things that have been said about Mariah on this board, all of the name calling and insults, people are outraged about that. It is just an opinion about one performance. If it was said that she was tentative, someone would have taken offence to that too I suppose. I don't think anyone on the board has said she did badly on Kimmel, which is a good thing.

I agree just a little boring. She sounded ok though. The moments with YG were awkward, he was moving funny and she barely moved. That is kind of why I was just hoping for a fun parody moment including Jimmy. She gave it a good try though.

Mimi at Clippers game (72,728)
by RibbonB from USA

How cute, Mariah took Mishka on a date to the Clippers game tonight. She is slaying the young acting moments lately. Wow she even mingled in the crowd and said hello to Floyd Mayweather while her hired hand took photos of her with a famous celebrity.

But has anyone here listened to Beck's 2015 Grammy winning album of the year? I still haven't. I thought it was cute that Adele "kanye'd" herself on Sunday in favor of Beyonce's masterpiece.

As I said before, I think this new house rental is a business expense. She keeps hosting parties there and making videos and now photoshoots, she will be able to write it off on her tax returns. I bet Nobu, Nobu, Nobu is out now because James co-owns the restaurant.

Anthony / Beyonce (72,679)
by RibbonB from USA

Congrats to Anthony Burrell. I hear he choreographed Beyonce's triumphant Grammy performance. The chair thing was scary, but it was all very effective, especially with her being pregnant. He is making good use of his time I see.

Guillermo can play Mariah's part and Mariah can play YG's part. I would love to see Guillermo writhing atop a fake Rolls and burn a cheap tuille wedding frock.

Billboard chart (72,629)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|

Good for Mariah for charting. I wonder if she is happy with that number. She seems to be promoting the song, hosting parties for DJ's at her new rental property hoping to get airplay I am sure. If that is the same house she made the video at, I am sure she will be able to use that rental as a tax write off as her new work compound.

Mimi L. Here is the Kimmel "Blurred Lines" parody. This is actually pretty funny. There is also one on YouTube for Sia's "Chandelier", which is not so funny, but it's ok. Now I really hope he parodies "I Don't". It could really be epic. Lol. I can imagine him playing the YG part.

Also, Mariah did that sitting in a bubble bath with Kimmel being fed grapes stunt last year. So he does a lot more than just sit downs.

Ken Ehrlick produced the Grammy's not DCP and it was on CBS not ABC like the NYE debacle. Snafus definitely happen, but it is how a star responds to it that will make or break the moment even further.

He does all kinds of parodies, staged moments. He has a running thing with Matt Damon. I just mean some kind of silly moment vs. her actually performing the song with YG.

Bowling dress massacre (72,602)
by RibbonB from USA

Someone, anyone on Mariah's team should have told her that the dress she was "bowling" in was oh so wrong. The visual in the butt shot pictures is so unfortunate. The comments are sad on Daily Mail. Yikes.
