About RibbonB from USA: I love Mariah's Music.

Mariah on Kimmel (72,596) by RibbonB from USA
This should be interesting. Hopefully they will take my advice and do a parody of "I Don't" while on the show. Good luck to her.

Rihanna's diamond encrusted flask (72,595) by RibbonB from USA
Rihanna is a mess, her with her flask and sipping throughout the show is hilarious and yet everything. Now if Mariah had the balls to bring a diamond butterfly encrusted flask to an award show and sip from it, she definitely would have been flogged and dragged through the blogosphere. Now that is unfair, but her not being invited to the Grammy's or not even being there this year is to be expected, IMO. She has said that she does not like award shows anyway, especially when she is not up for one. She also "needs" way to many people to get ready, to walk around with etc. so it is best she stayed away. Sarcasm aside, Mariah comes across as very insecure at awards shows. That is not a good way to go into a major award stage fresh after a major debacle or two. At least she was not the butt of Grammy show jokes like she was on a couple of shows right after the NYE thing happened.

Re: Adele (72,564) (72,593) by RibbonB from USA
But if Adele had panicked, pranced the stage without singing for minutes and all the other things Mariah did or didn't do during her debacle, then Adele's performance would have been an even bigger disaster than Mariah's was. Adele had the nerve to stop and restart and sing her face off. I understand Mariah was confused, couldn't hear the playback etc, but she had options to not go on until the equipment worked, or to go on with the show in a more creative way than she did. The way Mariah has been performing live these days missing the Grammy's was probably a good thing. It takes a village for her to perform on late night TV, or morning talk shows and she does not seem nearly ready for a major even like the Grammy's. She needs to work her way up to that by appearing on a few shows and flawlessly, humbly and graciously passing out a few awards to others.

Taking green notes. Hilarious but true and sad at the same time.

Re: Mariah's image (72,510) (72,512) by RibbonB from USA
It is not that hard to do, but she has the wrong crowd encouraging her in another direction. She is in the "ditzy glitzy" mode at the moment. She seems to be reading some of the messages or posts lately though and responding after Stella has done the damage. She is not reading the times well though and she and stella are presently tone deaf. She needs to close the circus and regroup. JD is also part of the problem because he also believes in the stunt school of marketing. JD orchestrated Usher's "Confessions" based on his own messy life at the time, because he thought Usher needed more public interest in his personal life and that he needed the drama. Usher got the sales then, but that was also a different time. Mariah needs to treat her next project with passion but also a purpose like a job, but not a lifestyle, living with a circus of sycophants. Since her present "friends" are acting like her paid enemies, perhaps she should work with paid professionals with a purpose. Her glamorous, but with paid friends lifestyle has got to be expensive to maintain, especially at the cost of her career.

Tyrese (72,487) by RibbonB from USA
Wow, I am not the biggest Tyrese fan, but I saw this clip of him on Wendy and he gives the best advice here at the 7 minute mark, he talks about single parenting and dating. It is sad that Mariah does not think it wise to discuss dating or exposing potential partners around their kids with their father. Or if she thinks it wise, she does not seem to do that if she has them on TV shows and on trips with others without so much as a discussion. In her R29 interview she does say that one should get over the anger of previous breakups, then spend time alone with yourself before looking to others to move on with, but she has not seemed to have displayed that behavior. Anyway, I do hope all is well with M and her kids. Haji that video you posted was weird and disturbing, but these people who post those videos just make up lots of stuff by way of interpreting song lyrics.

Lego movie (72,481) by RibbonB from USA
I hope the movie is a blockbuster. Mimi needs some good news, even though she only has a small part in the project. I may not see the movie, but I would buy her characters action figure if they put one out. Looks like this will be a cute moment. It was also cute to see her walk the carpet last week with Roc and Roe. I read where Nick said that Roc and Roe think they are more famous than he is and they think he owns Nickleodeon. They really are such cute kids and they seem very playful and animated in all the videos with their dad. M. doesn't share as many videos with them, but they do have great personalities.

Re: Lionel Richie Facebook fans attack Mariah, help her (72,465) (72,477) by RibbonB from USA
Well if you want to highlight their personal lives, Lionel was living his life and made mistakes way before social media of today. Mariah is deliberately living and fabricating a life for social media and many of her fans and his fans alike are like "bish whet?" She needs to use this moment to close off that silly MW chapter and ready herself to do a good show without all the dramatics, but between her NYE debacle and the mess of MW she has a lot to prove. Who knows why she allowed Crustella and crew inside and muddied up her own legacy, but she can turn it around. I hope she does. I also hope she leaves Roc and Roe with their dad and his mom while she tours so she can focus mainly on the show and they can be in good care and safe hands especially if Crustella and her kids and crew are still in the mix.

Re: Stella shot down allegations (72,432) (72,437) by RibbonB from USA
Hopefully, what Nick said just gives Crustella and team a good way to transition from the reality show to US tour Mariah. But Mariah needs to stop the games and focus. Talking about they have 800 hours of footage, but they air all the mess that makes her look bad is pathetic, especially if she doesn't think she looked bad to many. Stella may not want to set off a comedian. Nick may not be the funniest in many people's opinion, but he is funnier than her IMO. His friends George Lopez and DeRay Davis go in and go hard though. Wow the way they clapped back at hecklers this week was atrocious and over the top, but not uncommon. DeRay may have done his a while ago, but his video surfaced in response to what George did to an audience member. We know about the old "Kramer" comedian and his racist clap back of several years ago. A lot of Nick's reserve is also trying to not stress out and dealing with his lupus. But Nick will drop a mix tape song or a spoken word poem at any given moment

Re: Article: Mariah's ex-husband slams new "love" (72,406) (72,419) by RibbonB from USA
Yes and the not a repeat offender line is simply saying he is not going to have sex with his ex, especially if it is not leading to a relationship. At least that is how I understand the phrase. At least he said no. If he had said yes or something more cavalier like oh yeah I will hit that, blah, blah, blah, people would be jumping on him for saying that. Mariah has claimed of him "too much, too little, too late" like the old song, so that is just where they are these days.

Re: Like a star (72,407) (72,418) by RibbonB from USA
Thanks for the info. I overlooked her more recent work, but I really like her style and her music though. She could be a great co-writer for Mariah. She has a simple singing style, which might mesh well with where Mariah's voice is rn. She seems to be a great lyricist as well.

Refinery 29 article (72,397) by RibbonB from USA
So good. Mariah was actually witty and rather candid for a change.

Like a star (72,396) by RibbonB from USA
I was listening to some old Corinne Bailey Rae and I could just imagine Mariah sinking her vocal chords into this gem. Mariah could be great on an understated downtempo track with superior lyrics. An album of Mariah singing some great covers could be an epic moment. Just singing, no stunts or ties to her personal life could be refreshing. I would love her to intertpret one of Adele's songs as well, "When We Were Young" comes to mind.

Stella shot down allegations (72,387) by RibbonB from USA
Well Stella shot down that rumor with a quickness. I still hope there will be no season two.

Well, well, well (72,380) by RibbonB from USA
I hope this particular Tanka story is true that he is demanding a raise to fawn over Mariah on a season two of MW. He supposedly was happy to fawn all over her for the press and free stuff, but now is demanding a big raise to continue for a season 2. He also wants press appearance fees. Just cancel season two, or drop all the sychophants and focus on Mariah, her music and her kids. Better yet, just no season 2.

Re: Weird era (72,352) (72,379) by RibbonB from USA
I have been saying this for months and especially after that "Here comes Santa Clause" video. The "anti moral MCA lamb police" or the "radical moose lambs" want to try to yell down on common sense though. I even got blocked by a few on twitter for commenting on "Snakanaka" carrying Roe on his shoulders last week. That is the most creepy aspect of this whole thing and the most disgusting. People need to get a clue. This casual behavior even if a stunt is not good. Leave the kids out of it. And Stella planting stories that he gets along well with her kids and they are romantic in front of the kids is some of her lowest work ever.

Billboard update (72,351) by RibbonB from USA
Here Mariah talks writing "I Don't", working with IG, they share the same agent and will there be a season 2 of Mariah's world. She is still thinking about a season 2. She claims that if she can focus more on music vs. narrative. She said she had a lot of fun, blah, blah, blah. Interesting that she first heard the I Don't track in Capri way back in the summer, but claims she wrote it with Crystal, of TMB fame, later in the fall. She backed off of it being about James, sort of, playing like it's all very generic to any break up. It didn't sound like it applied to her anyway, lol she should have just done a cover of the whole old song which is more applicable to the narrative they put out on MW. She seems very ambivalent about putting out a new CD, claiming she needs to go away to a tropical location to write a cohesive record.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey's bad weekend record sales (72,322) (72,326) by RibbonB from USA
Actually I saw Mariah say that on Access last night on the red carpet of the Lego movie lol. About things being cyclical, happy and "sad".

Re: "I Don't" understand it (72,324) (72,325) by RibbonB from USA
Drake is about the only one of those who could have a really great impact with Mariah. Jay Z is too busy and Bouncy would not even allow that not with her twins on the way, lol. Lil Wayne though? Ugh. He is gross and is he even relevant these days?

Re: Article: Mariah Carey's bad weekend record sales (72,305) (72,322) by RibbonB from USA
Licia, Mariah said in her little ET interview that things are cyclical. She finally sees that people are happy then sad then over again. When she is finally no longer happy with this team, or when they fall away from her she will make changes. Since they are leeches, it will probably take a while. She does not seem to have learned how to go through these cycles with the same man or team though. Not unlike many of us in our daily lives, but she is just living hers in public. The manufacturing of facts though is distasteful and cause for alarm or concern to many.

Re: How is the video #1 on US iTunes? (72,309) (72,320) by RibbonB from USA
The video is at number 2 because many of the people who bought the single are probably now buying the video as well, along with the pubescent boys and others who are just buying the video. The video will have longer legs because of the visuals. Miss Gaga now has 5 songs in the top ten iTunes video chart on the strength of her Superbowl performance and she has knocked Mimi out of number one.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey's bad weekend record sales (72,287) (72,297) by RibbonB from USA
I have no idea why they seem to sabotage their own shit. They need to figure it out. It's like ok we are doing a docuseries about my tour, writing songs, for the fans, blah blah blah, then they put out a reality show with manufactured cringeworthy scenes that make many fans not want to watch. *shrug*

Isn't this a joke? I thought he was hospitalized due to cringe induced pain from watching MW. Lol. I hope he feels better if I read that wrong.
