Re: Songs you wish Mariah would do (75,124) (75,131) by B from USA
I also want a proper cover of If You Only Knew.

5/9/2015 (75,110) by B from USA
On this day two years ago I attended the second night of Mariah's residency (after driving from Ohio to Las Vegas). After finishing Infinity Mariah invited the audience to stay and be in her new video for Infinity which was being directed by Brett Ratner. I'll never forget that night. Seeing Mariah was #1 on my bucket list but being in a Mariah Carey video wasn't on my list because I thought it would never happen.

Re: Trade off (75,102) (75,109) by B from USA
I love Thanx 4 Nothin'. It would have been a better choice as the second single than Bye, Bye.

Re: The industry (75,096) (75,107) by B from USA
Her last three official singles, You're Mine (Eternal), Infinity, and I Don't, have all charted on the Hot 100 with basically no promotion or label support which proves she's still relevant. LA needs Mariah's next album and single to be hits or his tenure at Epic will but littered will epic failures especially after the meteoric rise of Megan Trainer and her sophomore slump despite having Epic and Reid behind her 100%. Meagan and Fifth Harmony were basically his legacy and Meagan suffered one of the biggest sophomore slumps in history and Fifth Harmony broke up so he needs a superstar who can deliver and Mariah can. He's going to be all up in her writing and recording sessions like Wendy Williams clashing with Stella.

Re: Songs that you love that aren't fan favorites (75,089) (75,106) by B from USA
I love your list except the inclusions of The Impossible, More Than Just Friends, and Faded. I really dislike the Memoirs album. I barely listen to it (and like Mariah all I listen to is her music, lol). I go back and forth on Faded. I like it but I prefer Cry., Camouflage, and You're Mine (Eternal).

Re: Songs you don't like that are fan favourites (75,059) (75,105) by B from USA
You dislike The Roof, The One, Migrate, and Camouflage? Really? I'm shocked at some these list. I don't understand how people could hate or dislike anything from 1990-1997 or 2005 and 2014 (TEOM and MIAMTEC albums except Thirsty, lol).

Re: Songs you don't like that are fan favourites (75,063) (75,104) by B from USA
Correction the songs I don't like that are fan favorites are Everything Fades Away, Through The Rain, and Boy (I Need You)
The One, Underneath The Stars, Fourth of July, Butterfly, and Slipping Away would be in my Top 10 favorites if not my Top 5.

Re: Questions / fan favorites (75,077) (75,081) by B from USA
I knew the in the sands of time part but could never make out what was sung before or after that line.

Re: Everything Fades Away (75,060) (75,079) by B from USA
I skip no songs on Daydream and Butterfly. Those albums are perfect. Mariah was at her peak vocally and creatively.

Re: Questions / fan favorites (75,066) (75,078) by B from USA
Are you referring to the in the sands of time adlib? Once Xscape join the wall of Mariah's it gets a little hard to hear what she's singing clearly.

Re: Everything Fades Away (75,055) (75,064) by B from USA
I love Do You Think of Me and Slipping Away but don't care for EFA. I also don't care for the song Mariah wrote for Tennessee that gets a lot of love on here.

Everything Fades Away
Through The Rain
Boy (I Need You)
The One
Underneath The Stars
Fourth of July
Butterfly
Slipping Away
These songs would be in my top ten if not my top five.

What? Seriously? Is he still relevant? So we can expect another I Don't.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey to close out Baku race of Formula 1 (75,005) (75,024) by B from USA
She's proably collecting a seven figure sum for the performance plus being flown in on a private jet along with her entourage and being put up in a mansion or a 5 star hotel in the presidential suite.

Re: Emotions, Till the End of Time (75,015) (75,021) by B from USA
She's a top line writer (look it up). She's capable of greatness and if she wants to make a successful comeback she's going to have to give the public what they want from her catchy R&B songs with a Pop sensibility. Obviously LA thinks she's capable of making another comeback and hopefully he won't allow her to release anymore songs like You're Mine (Eternal), Infinity and I Don't. Yes, those songs charted on the Hot 100 which is a feat considering LA said that Mariah getting airplay was an accomplishment. YM(E) was a top 20 hit on the R&B charts. It's a great song lyrically. It has multiple hooks that stick in your head. It's an earworm. My six year old nephew knows every word to it and always asks me to play it. Any ballad she releases especially ballads that have similarities to We Belong Together are never going to measure up. Rodney's production sounded like a JD production (like WBT and every ballad on E=MC2 except For The Record and Thanx 4 Nothin') and Mariah's vocal arrangements and delivery made it sound too similar to We Belong Together. If it had been produced by Happy Perez and had that current yet classic sound that #Beautiful had it would be considered a classic Carey ballad. However, if IDJ had given it the same Clear Channel deal they gave #Beautiful and Trey and Mariah had actually filmed scenes together and fully recreated The Little Mermaid it could have crossed over.

Re: Albums (74,996) (75,011) by B from USA
Those fillers are considers classics by not just fans but critics alike. Each were highlighted in almost every review of Emotions. MIAMTEC has way more filler. Money, Faded, Heavenly, the leftover remixes from the Angels Advocate Remix album that was shelved and a few others I can't think of. I love MIAMTEC but Emotions wins hands down. Mariah's vocals on that album are otherworldly.

Re: Stella (74,997) (75,010) by B from USA
Wow. There most be trouble in paradise if TMZ source (AKA Stella) claims Mariah would have rather been gifted the car Miskha was given. Sounds like Mariah's finally seeing what we've been seeing since Stellar entered the picture. She doesn't care about Mariah or her career. She's just trying to turn her family into the next Kardashians which was the whole point of taking Mariah into doing that docuseries. Thankfully, it flopped or E would have given Stella and her daughter a spinoff like they do every series that's successful. Kylie Jenner has a spinoff called Kylie's Life or something like that coming soon.

Re: Emotions, Till the End of Time (74,995) (75,009) by B from USA
I think everyone has a moment during that breakdown, I know I do. I hope Mariah writes timeless R&B songs for her new album like she did on Emotions. #Beautiful was a Mowtown inspired throwback and it was her last hit which proves that the public loves it when Mariah pays homage to the Motown era.

Re: Albums (74,966) (74,994) by B from USA
Mariah should work with Robert Clivillés on her new album. She should also work with David Morales.

Re: Albums (74,984) (74,992) by B from USA
I heard it for the first time in years after my grandfather passed away (he also died from cancer) and it made me cry. Sunflowers, My Saving Grace, and The One, and Lullaby are the best songs on Charmbracelet.

Re: New album (74,987) (74,991) by B from USA
She announced she was working on an album when she began her Vegas residency and then again last year when talking to Billboard and yet while promoting I Don't she said she was going to focus on releasing singles because albums aren't selling at the moment. Mariah should name her next album The Confusion of Mariah. Or The Contradiction of Mariah. Stella is the worst manager ever. She's the female version of Howard K. Stern, Anna Nicole 's lawyer/lover/manager. Has Stella taken on those other roles in Mariah's life as well? It's the only thing that explains Mariah giving Stella free reign to do and say whatever she wants. I hope Mariah starts keeping her private life private like she used to. Sharing pictures of the twins is one thing but going public with every relationship since her divorce needs to stop.

I Don't (74,990) by B from USA
I Don't has almost 18 million views and You're Mine (Eternal) is nearing 10. Guess her antics isn't stopping people from listening to her music and/or watching her music videos. I think sometimes we're a little too hard on Mariah. I think she deserves a free pass for the limited promo she did for her last studio album due to what was going on in her personal life. The last song the public remembers from Mariah is #Beautiful which is actually a good thing.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey not having "midlife crisis" (74,986) (74,989) by B from USA
Mariah and her managers, BS: Before Stella, refused to even acknowledge tabloid rumors. I grow more and more concerned about what's really happening behind the scenes everyday. Stella is a messy reality tv producer not a manager. Why wasn't she making appearances on Tiny and TI or Tiny's spinoff? Everything the blushtastic one makes is unprofessional.
