Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon back together again (74,967) by B from USA
According to an insider (who wears too much blush and reeks of a cheap Chanel #5 knockoff) Marah and Nick are back together again and planning to get married again. Here's the link. [Webmaster: I already posted this article yesterday, but I guess some only come here for the messageboard.]

Her vocals were ethereal during the recording of the Emotions album.

Re: Bruno gets his 7th number one (74,916) (74,917) by B from USA
She looks good and she's been sounding good so if she hires a manager with actually industry connections and credentials, a stylist, and releases a great album with great songs she could easily score a comeback. The public has forgotten about NYE (which wasn't that bad when compared to the Rockefeller debacle) and Mariah's World (barely a million people watched the premiere and less than 400,000 watched the finale) so if she starts giving honest straight forward answers instead of playing up the diva act and goes on GMA and gives an amazing performance of say TGIFY like she does in Vegas she'd remind people why they love... She should have done this in the weeks following the NYE debacle but Stella saw it as her chance at her 15 minutes of fame since it was oblivious by that point Mariah's World was D.O.A.

Empire (74,902) by B from USA
Did anyone see the episode in which Rumor Willis sang with Jamal? She sang. It blew me away and yes it was really was her singing. Mariah should have blown like that when she did her cameo or if she comes back she needs to sing the hell out a simple ballad like Rumor did.

Re: Mariah's latest fashion (74,874) (74,894) by B from USA
Mariah doesn't like bags? She talked openly about how during her marriage to Tommy she carried everything she needed in her bag incase shit hit the fan. She also loves using the word bag, lol.

Re: Mariah (74,883) (74,893) by B from USA
I don't hate Stella. I just see what everyone else sees. She's a master manipulator. She was able to somehow talk Mariah Carey, who had just recently dismissed reality shows and stars, into doing a reality show. She even said reality tv wasn't for her and how doing AI was like going to work in hell with Satan. Did she blackmail her into doing it? I mean seriously how did she convince a mega star to change her mind seemingly overnight. She showed her true colors when she didn't whisk Mariah off stage during NYE and gave countless interviews to every media outlet that called. She isn't managing Mariah to help Mariah make a comeback she's doing it to come up (or whatever it's called when someone rides someone else's coattails to gain fame for her and her daughters). I guess the real test of her abilities will be the album release. If it flops or its lead single flops Mariah will give her her walking papers just like she did Randy and JD and if she doesn't it will confirm something's up.

R&B (74,892) by B from USA
#Beautiful peaked at #3 on the R&B charts and You're Mine (Eternal) peaked at #24. Mariah is an R&B artist, Vision of Love topped the R&B charts before it topped the Hot 100, and unfortunately R&B is no longer "popular". Mariah needs to write a strong ballad with catchy poetic lyrics that transcends formats. She knows how to do so. She just doesn't seem interested in playing the game anymore or she's just waiting for the inevitable revival/resurgence of R&B in the US. Using the Jones sample for I Don't was inspired as were their collaborations on MIAM but she needs a new collaborator for her singles.

Re: Asia-exclusive album as next step? (74,884) (74,891) by B from USA
I hope not. She's always been huge in Japan. Sony retained the rights to sell Glitter in Japan as part of her exit from the label despite still owing them an album. She still has a lot of fans in the States, we just don't go all out unless she does. She has to show us she means business like she did during TEOM and E=MC2 eras.

Mariah's birthday post about the twins was adorable and I actually think she wrote it, not Mishka. I love that they entered the world to the live version of Fantasy. So Mariah.

Re: Wendy, Nick, the crap manager and the career (74,847) (74,848) by B from USA
Oh my. I actually agree with you. Hell has frozen over. Well everything except Beyoncé's newest album being good, lol. I hate it, it's overrated, I'd rather listen to I Don't than anything she's released in the last decade.

Re: Nick on Wendy (74,830) (74,833) by B from USA
I just hope she writes smart poetic lyrics and works with the best songwriters and producers in the game. #Beautiful is proof that she can seamlessly update her signature sound by working with a current artist and producer without selling out to score an easy hit. If R&B was still as big as it was in the mid 2000's she would have already scored her #19th #1. According to Billboard we're about to re enter the singer that can sing a ballad and sing the hell out of it era thanks to Lady Gaga and a few other artists. Katy's Chained to the Rythm is a sign the times they are a changing. It's a politically charged EDM banger and it flopped. Adele, Bruno, and Ed are bringing real music back and if Mariah releases a masterpiece she can make a comeback.

Re: Nick on Wendy (74,821) (74,830) by B from USA
Mariah has to be focused on her own vision/career. That is exactly what she needs to do. She needs to take her babies back to NY or Capri without the entourage except the maid and nanny and focus on her career. She needs to write without the distracting circus. She also need to work with a vocal coach and goes days without talking before recording something she hasn't done in who knows how long. She also needs to rest and relax because when she's well rested and so is her voice she can slay vocally.

Re: (74,800) / Head Over Heels (74,818) (74,826) by B from USA
Didn't Mariah say at the time that the acts signed to Crave would join Columbia or other Sony labels? She didn't have any leverage though what with the divorce and the escalating tensions between her and Tommy (and the other execs).

Mariah Carey's history as a record label owner (74,800) by B from USA
Crave wasn't Mariah's idea. Allure scored a huge hit with All Cried Out and a modest hit with Head Over Heels. The label was closed once she left Tommy. I have no idea what happened to the MonarC label.

She made Nick wait until they were married so I doubt she had sex with Packer.

Re: The song with Busta (74,796) (74,797) by B from USA
I can't wait. I want to hear it now. I wonder if it will be included on MC's new album? On another note I Don't has 17.5 million views (the views are steadily increasing). Does anyone else think the response to I Don't is why Epic and Mariah decided to release a new album this year? She's been working on this album since November of last year, hasn't she? She's made a lot of contradicting sstatements since Stella began her reign of terror.

Re: Saint Mariah, forget about Saint Nick (74,727) (74,737) by B from USA
I guess it's possible. I just assumed it was caused by an untreated illness or an underlying illness. I've always thought Nick was good looking (I grew up watching him on Nickelodeon). I will admit Mariah marrying him took me by surprise but I didn't care as long as she was happy. However, towards the end of their marriage some of his comments about their sex life (they made love to Hero?) and his former sex partners (why admit that you slept with Kim K let alone brag I hit it first while your happily married to Mariah Carey?) made me cringe. Actually I began to dislike his behavior when spoke openly about how he left Nicole from the Pussycat Dolls for Mariah. He seems like a nice guy and good father and at the end of the day that's what matters.

Are you implying that media attention caused Nick's hospitalization? He was treated for kidney failure.

Re: Saint Mariah (74,714) (74,716) by B from USA
No one is claiming Mariah was or is innocent in any of this. Did you read the Vanity Fair profile of Packer? In it both a Packer insider and a Mariah insider agree that Packer used Mariah for fame and that Mariah did not love him, but she wasn't looking for love, she was looking for a companion. Someone she could raise her children with. Mariah tolerated all of Nick's messiness in the media so I don't think that had anything to do with the divorce. He filed first but that doesn't mean he was the one that asked for the divorce or that something Mariah did caused the marriage to end. What we do know is that she changed Ms. Holiday's lyrics to I know you cheated, [censored]. I think they had an agreement about how and when to announce the seperation/divorce and Nick decided (or most likely his PR team) to go public in an attempt to save face because the media would automatically blame Mariah and her diva ways for the end of the marriage.

Re: Nick (74,685) (74,691) (74,695) by B from USA
I guess I was trying to justify her behavior. Correct me if I'm wrong but when Nick broke the news about the divorce didn't he say they had been living sesperate lives for months? If so Mariah was separated from Nick long before she met Packer at the Hercules premiere. I honestly believe the flirting with BT on Mariah's part was innocent at first. Mariah always flirts but it doesn't mean she's serious. I think Packer was jealous of BT but not because of his relationship with Mariah but because he's insecure about his looks. He was probably jealous of all of her dancers and when Packer ended his relationship with Mariah, Stella and Mariah decided to film some new scenes to change the narrative. However those changes to the narrative didn't do Mariah or her image any favors. It made it look like she was having an affair with BT while engaged to Packer. Honestly the whole Packer relationship seemed one sided from the beginning. I think Mariah pursued Packer to prove to Nick that she means what she says. He's said she always told him she'd leave him for a billionaire. She just didn't expect that the billionaire had ulterior motives for pursuing her. I think those motives became obvious to Mariah when Packer dragged her to China. He used her for fame. Before Mariah Packer wasn't well known in America. Now he's known as the Shrek lookalike that dumped Mariah because she was getting a little too close to her hired help.

They were legally separated and even if they weren't Nick was seeing other women before the divorce was finalized.

She grew up in a single parent household and moved to NY after graduating and worked as a waitress and her roommates have confirmed those stories.

Social media and public relations (74,658) by B from USA
Mariah needs an A list social media manager and image consultant. Stella and company have tarnished the Mariah Carey brand. Her legacy is untouchable but her brand is what's vulnerable. Mariah Carey would never do a reality series. How did Stella talk her into it? I know she believed and still believes it was a docuseries about the tour but it wasn't. I wonder if she even watched it or was involved with the editing because I can't believe she'd allow some of the footage to be used.
