Re: Mariah's World (69,094) (69,106) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I also wanted to mention how the editing was choppy and it just kept going back and forth so much. The structure was very messy up until the end when it finally got a little stable. But throughout it was messy. Like they couldn't figure out how make a proper structure. It looked more like a montage than a documentary. Or like an extended teaser trailer with several random footage sewn in together. (Monday 5 December 2016; 19:14)

I hope that from the next episode they tone down on the Stella dominance and have more of Mariah. I also can live without the Molly storyline. Waste of time. I'd much rather have more clips from the SSFT shows. Granted this episode is before the show started so that may explain why there were no clips but hopefully from the next episode we get more clips from her performances and audience interactions from the show. MW episode 1 : Mimi L review (69,083) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter (Additional point I wrote this after I finished the post and I didn't feel like changing all the numbers). The first moments of the episode goes by really fast, like basically flashes while they waste a good 5 minutes later in the episode on the assistant story line at Molly's apartment. (1) Mariah looked gorgeous in every frame, I liked that instead of tradition "Talking Head" sequences, Mariah put her own spin to it and did her parts on a chaise lounge. (2) Loved Bianca's introduction of Mariah. (3) Enjoyed the parts with DemBabies. (4) Mariah's wedding dress was stunning and she looked so beautiful in it. (5) I liked that they put in Shawn explaining how this isn't how they grew up, liked how Mariah explained she music is everything to her and all. (6) Sadly this is where the negatives start. Mariah keeps saying how "they don't know the real me" and how this show will help them know her better and how she's not really a diva and materialistic. But then you have this woman diving into the ocean wearing expensive diamond necklaces, a very low cut gown and her sunglasses. Then how she won't be seen without shades in bleak lighting and all. So then that kinda solidifies what people really think right? I'm not going to lie, I didn't find the scene bad, but I'm just saying if you want people to see you are not an over the top diva, then this isn't going to cut it. (7) Mariah goes on several, yes several different scenes where she defends Stella and puts in great words for her so expect a lot of "Stella is tough but she gets the work done". "Stella understands me, people before her used me." "People (fans) misunderstand Stella, she's the best". (8) The article about how Stella paints one picture for Mariah, while behind her back she has another face was slightly reflected when she tells Mariah that "James loves you so much he'll understand" when talking about postponing the wedding but then we have her during her talking head moment saying how she thinks the pre-nuptials aren't "the most romantic thing I've seen". I wonder if Mariah was really supposed to end up with James, how would James feel about that being aired? (9) Expect Stella to tell Mariah she loves her at least 20 times. (10) The Tanaka story line seed has been very subtly planted. (11) The Molly story line was cringe worthy and blatantly staged. They didn't even try to hide it. Like why would you hire a girl who has no experience being a celebrity assistant (in fact no experience in this field at all)? Oh wait, Mariah already hired Stella so everything goes. But then the camera follows this girl back to her apartment (why is this necessary if it's a docu-series?) where she tells her BF he can't exist as Stella has a "no BF" rule, all while the BF pretends not knowing that this girl got hired by Mariah, I mean dude there are at least 2 cameras and good lighting pointed at you. (12) They'll explain why Mariah was late in Stockholm because her nanny packed her passport in the suitcase. Sloppy review I know. Sorry about that. I'll try and write the next review while watching the next episode of the show. I don't feel like re-watching it now. (Monday 5 December 2016; 12:23)

Haha no seriously though, it was after many posts from myself and Shelly that we suddenly heard that she'll be collaborating with MAC. We even discussed packaging and colors of the products and what products should be included (although the packaging that they went with was way better). Then there was the time B and I went about petitioning for Mariah to try out Balmain and lo and behold after a while she was doing that. So there are at least some things that Stella listened to haha. (Sunday 4 December 2016; 15:19)

There is supposedly a video of the divas taping via FB live and apparently Patti said something along the lines of "she's lip synching" and then said "she told me she's not well" or something like that. I'll post the video if I find it, but honestly I couldn't be bothered. She just sang AIWFCIY and left. She wasn't in the group performance. Anyways all I'll say is she looked great and it looked like she was pretty energetic on stage so I am waiting to see the final version. Hopefully people will like it. (Sunday 4 December 2016; 10:51)

MAC Mariah Beauty Icon launch slumber party (69,049) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter So Mariah and MAC held a slumber party for her Beauty Icon line launch. She invited a bunch of beauty bloggers over for a slumber party at a hotel. This is photo 1 and photo 2 of her entrance. This is the video of the entrance. She looks stunning. Mariah literally looks like Barbie here in a Barbie house. Love the lay out they did for the photo booth bed with the pink and the customized covers and the dripping diamonds. I saw those pictures and I feel like it wasn't her crotch that was visible, it was more like a scar/shadow/mark on her inner thigh. I could be wrong though, because UKMix practically had a meltdown over it, Mariah Network said they won't post it on their site and all. I hope to Lord it wasn't a crotch moment, because I can't handle a crotch moment after the major and stark nip slip situation in the beach. I was like Mariah, girl, you are staging pictures, cringe worthy as it is, now you are also staging nip slips, and that wasn't an "almost nip slip" it was straight up blatant. New video (69,016) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter First of all, I died laughing at this video, Mariah looks flawless, then Stella walks in and tries to take Mariah away and the photographer yells "stop touching her" haha, the look Stella throws after that, daggers. Ok so here is photo 1 of her on the red carpet and here is photo 2. I think she looks great. Hot pink is definitely Mariah's color. She should wear it more often. Here is a photo of her stage ensemble, where she dressed a toy soldier and she looks really cute and young (side note Licia, we were not that far off thinking we'll see some Christmas themed bodysuit, but she looks good so I'll let it pass). Positivity (68,982) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter On to more positive news, last I checked AIWFCIY has already surpassed its peak of #13 on iTunes in 2015 and is now at #12. Will probably be going higher soon. So that's great. Maybe we'll get a new peak on the Hot 100, fingers crossed for Top 5, although personally I think they should just make it an honorary #1. Secondly, the clip with Shawn and Mariah was cute. I like that she talked about the past, which we fans know but the GP tuning in might not know and may help them understand her a bit better. Also loved the Bianca clip. Hope to see more of her there. The other clip with Big Jim was nice too. Love that she was making up a song on spot. That's the side of her I want people to see. So I'm hoping that the main teaser was misleading and they have good content in the show and not over the top drama, although with all the stunts I'm a little nervous. (Friday 2 December 2016; 9:56)

I cringed just a little because usually when referencing her it's always "the Vision of Love hit maker" or the "WBT hit maker". As I write this, I realize this might come across as a little dramatic on my part, but it is what it is. I'm going to keep hoping that when all this is over, we get what the fans really want and that's a solid album. Nothing depressing though. (Friday 2 December 2016; 9:50)

She kept saying "you don't need to do these stunt", "the reality show is beneath you", "your behavior is worrisome". Everything is true. I also agree that Mariah should take some time off the public eye. I really am one of those people that loves always seeing Mariah active, but now even I am like girl please take a break, make us miss you for a while and then come with your new album, or whatever, just stop with the constant attention hogging. I mean have you lost all possible other options to defend Mariah that now you have to resort to "well Nick did worse". I mean I totally get at this point that that's the only defense left, shifting the blame on someone. But oh, maybe this is Stella's master plan to give Mariah's career a new boost right? We should totally have faith. Jeez. The same people that think Nick is beneath Mariah also have to compare how her move is "better" thank Nick. If Mariah is so above Nick why bother staging pictures with your background dancer? Also how do you know what Nick plans to do with his baby and his baby's mom? I'm not even a Nick fan but bringing Nick into this is unnecessary. Him and Mariah have been done since 2014, she immediately jumped on Packer's yacht (take that meaning anything you want) and then got engaged and then the engagement broke off and her team started leaking one story after another about him and then in less than a month jumped on Bryan's Tanaka. So if anything, compare her actions to her recent break up, which is James. Call me when James Packer knocked up someone that he doesn't care about. (Thursday 1 December 2016; 14:55)

No way, she basically went against everything she said she believed in just for this show. Oh wow (68,894) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter First of all this is a picture of me fainting and being dragged back to my home after I saw these pictures. I can't believe what I'm seeing really. Mariah girl what went wrong? I just don't get it. I'm sorry but this is where I stop blaming Stella (for this) and hold Mariah responsible. Woman is almost 50 and still has the sense of a 12 year old. It's like she is hell bent on destroying her own image. Now this will give rise to the "Mariah cheated on James with Tanaka" stories or worse, stories will be out calling her desperate at this point. Seriously even if Stella put these idea in her head, why would Mariah agree to these? And these pictures are direct visuals of the narrative of the "on looker" we read in the article before. The whole "making out, can't keep their hands off, the dancing poses" and all that, so those thinking that that story wasn't leaked by Mariah and her team, wake up. Those thinking that this is real, wake up and get yourselvesa big cup of coffee because if this was real, she wouldn't be leaking stories and pictures about it. He is responsible for his own act and I can't even fully blame him because why would he give up the opportunity if Mariah is throwing money and herself at him for ratings? I mean dude has got to pay his bills right? It's like a job assignment for him. Real life acting if you please, if anything Mariah should be the one ashamed for going against everything she said she valued (privacy, talent, authenticity, no-drama, being genuine) and acting thirsty at this stage of her career where she stands to lose a lot, and taking her kids through this roller coaster ride with her.
