Re: Forbes (76,319) (76,333) by Lila from United States
That's the point. If they're not exact figures, with concrete evidence to back up the claim, then they are not what the the celebrity made. Gross sales of tours are not how much the celebrity personally took home in pay. Live Nation reveals the gross sale not how much Madonna personally made from the tour, which is their right to do. Other promoters do the same. However, I will concede that common sense says that a smart celeb will make a bigger piece of the pie the better the tours does. Forbes World's Highest Paid Celebrity List takes into account what they believe a celebrity made in the last 12 months and it's not just singers but all types of entertainers internationally. A lot of these figures are grossly overstated but they did pick people who common sense says make a lot of money due to their current occupations and occupation success. 10 of the 22 European SSFT shows, which made up the majority of the tour, Mariah did while overseas did have the gross sales released. Those 10 shows, only one short of half the leg, totaled somewhat over $4M. If that's anything to go by, the rest of those dates were not going to be able to pull gross sales to staggering heights, nor Mariah's personal cut to help her onto that list. Gross sales for Vegas February 2016, given through Billboard, was $4,532,760. She still made a lot of money but the gross sales nor her slice of the pie from it was going to be enough to compete with the celebrities Forbes chose. Whatever she made from MAC was not going to be enough to pull her up either. Last I checked, the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion was around the $100,000K mark. Anything over that is taxed. So, I'll correct myself, she is exempt but only up to that mark. However, for someone, like Mariah, who could possibly make a high 6- to 7-figures a concert or private or public performance, once income is totaled that isn't much of a tax break. Foreign Earned Income Exclusion is not a free for all. Military personnel's paychecks are not considered foreign income. Why would they be when they don't work for a foreign entity but the US government? So, no they cannot claim Foreign Earned Income Exclusion. Again, Nick didn't blab anything. Other media outlets were reporting that $18M figure before the show started filming, all claiming sources from those close to American Idol; such as HuffPost, Entertainment Weekly, and TMZ. If Nick had "blabbed," why wouldn't they just use him as a source. Could you link a source for your source and ones for Brittany and J.Lo's announcements of their Vegas salaries? If they seriously announced that, and not in a joking manner, then I'll concede but I doubt it.

Re: Forbes (76,301) (76,311) by Lila from United States
There are no articles that state that a formal rep for J. Lo or Brittany confirmed anything about their income, so there have never been any formal announcements from their camps about income. If anything, some celebrities have stories planted related to their income or their PR takes the inititiative, which are still usually highly exaggerated, but no one actually comes right out and gives that information away. Most of these figures are simply made up estimations by the likes of Forbes based on unproven formulas. What celebrities make from touring is not reported by them or their promoters. What is reported is the gross sales of those tours. No one knows how much Mariah made on American Idol, exactly. Therefore, Nick nor anyone else "blabbed" anything. It was reported by People magazine that Mariah was being paid $18M and, when asked by Barabara Walters, Mariah said that the figure was in the ballpark. That's as close as we get to knowing how much she made. It is 100% false that money made overseas stays overseas. If you are an American citizen, all of your income, regardless of where it was made and minus what the government has said is exempt, is taxed unless you lied on your taxes about just how much you made. You must be thinking of expatriates, which Mariah is not, who are commonly, and also wrongly, thought to be completely exempt from paying taxes on foreign income. Even then, Mariah would make too much money to be exempt from taxation if we are to believe that she does command millions from one private performance alone. Not to mention, regardless of if the IRS is not going to tax the money, US citizens still have to file with the IRS and basically report that the money was made. As far as perfumes, most of the figures reported on celebrity perfume sales are like tour figures: gross sales, not how much the celebrity made. I'd say that's more than likely reported because the companies who make these perfumes are usually public companies.

Re: Mariah's World season 2 episode synopsis (76,278) (76,304) by Lila from United States
The crazy hilarious part is that if a second season truly is being carried out, there's a big possibility that the real episode synopses won't be much different from those.

I saw that. I thought it was really nice. It would be great for Mariah to do more things like this. It's fun and charitable.

Re: Mariah's boozy partying (76,176) (76,190) by Lila from United States
It is odd and I find it hard to think that it's just a coincidence that it coincided with Tonka Toy coming back into the picture. Something definitely happened there. I watched his vlog where he talks about why he quit and the reason that stuck out to me most was him saying he was getting emotional everyday and posting emotional stuff. So maybe there was build up but I think, quite possibly, whatever happened and/or was said that week was the straw that broke the camel's back and instead of taking to posting anything else emotional on there then, or ever, he just quit. And yeah, I also doubt we're going to be getting anymore family red carpet moments for quite a while. Shame. They were so cute and Mariah was actually getting some good press. Now we're back to look at my nipples, thongs, fake boy toy, and watching her overall her embarrass herself. I'm just glad (knock on wood and hopefully I'm not speaking too soon) that Roc and Roe are being publically left out of the fray, so far, this time around.

Mariah can walk by herself (76,157) by Lila from United States
The thing is, though, there are plenty of pictures, from 2013, post accident, to the present, of Mariah walking by herself, in heels, just fine, and looking like she has no cares. So, she is capable of doing so and I don't think the accident in 2013 left her mentally scared. I fit her holding onto her bodyguards into the same category as her saying she walks on tip toe because she's so used to walking in heels (and that pan in on her feet on tip toe on Mariah's World after she took her heels off) : evidence of her disconcerting habit of globbing onto whatever thought or person she thinks is cute or fun in the moment that winds up snowballing to a stupid place.

I assumed that when we got that stupid "Tanaka is sitting here saying the same thing" bulltweet, that Nick had packed up his Rolls-Royce and rolled on out of there before it was even sent. Mariah's the only one that wants to sit around playing these stupid little games.

Nick was on IG stories, at a drive in movie with the kids to see Captain Underpants. It was dark in the car so you couldn't really see them, though.

He's lost tons of money through poor investments and failed business ventures since the death of his father. He gives me poor little rich kid syndrome: regardless of money, ability to make big investments, or job titles he is still quite wayward.

RatPac / Are they still friends? (76,105) by Lila from United States
Packer is pretty much out of the picture. The owner of Access Entertainment, Len Blavatnik, now owns Packer's shares in the company. However, business wise, it had nothing to do with taking sides or Mariah. Packer was having money problems and has sold assets trying to minimize debt. It's also very possible and likely that RatPac wasn't bringing in much money or was losing Packer money, so it wasn't worth holding onto. I can't see Packer walking away from a production company such as this if it were making him a lot of money. It is partnered with Warner Brothers, which is a good partnership on the surface but, while the company has financed some hit movies, it also financed plenty of flops and it seems to only co-finance. Not to mention, the company was also in partnership with Dune Capital, which is owned by multimillionaire Steve Mnuchin, who is now America's Treasury Secretary and has pulled out of business with them, so there would be no conflict of interest. As for personal ties, I can't say for sure but I don't think it had to do with Mariah. Variety did an article on the whole thing before it became official, saying that Packer was going to sell. A spokesperson for RatPac said that wasn't true but we see that turned out to be true. The article also said, Ratner and Packer's friendship was frayed but the RatPac spokesperson and the spokesperson directly for Packer said that wasn't true. However, I also, read another article a few months back that said that James was focusing on his business in Australia and solely in Australia. So, I'm thinking that their friendship didn't end on a bad note but it ended inadvertently because Packer has laid the "let the good times roll, I wanna be Hollywood, let me call up Ratner and form a company because our names make RatPac" times behind.

If nothing else, no one should be able to resist Foreigner's Hot Blooded. I love the Dixie Chick's Lullaby. Make It Big is my favorite Beach Boys song, To Love Somebody the Bee Gees' and Cryin' by Aerosmith. I'll be on the traitor list because I also like Jennifer's music, the older stuff.

It will never not be mind boggling as to why Mariah wants to go as low as she's been going, especially when she really doesn't have to. Who in the world wants the world to think that they have to go out of their way to make Kevin Federline 2.0 jealous? Where they do that at?

Re: I was born at night, not last night (75,883) (75,901) by Lila from United States
You can't understand why I'm upset because I'm not upset. Annoyed yes but not upset. Just because someone points something out, it doesn't make them upset. I pointed out that they can't keep their stories straight and I stand by it. It's funny how you say that Shawn's now saying an album doesn't take 6 months to make because when he answered a previous fan's question about it he rudely told her "What part of 'just started recording' don't you like? Would you prefer a rushed album that isn't good?" So, which is it? No one misinterpreted anything Shawn said because there's no way to misinterpret what he said. He was going out of his way to make it seem like not much had been done for the album. Now, he's changing his story. I don't know how much Mariah has recorded or not recorded. I personally don't even care. I'm not putting a time constraint on what she does. My point is to bring up that I don't like the obvious flip flopping and toying that's going on. As far as the "relationship" and this supposed "leaker" and there being more to the story, that's highly doubtful. Shawn said they never broke up. The obvious has already been pointed out but I'll point it out again: 1) The most obvious: If they never broke up, where did Bryan go? This man had nothing better to do in life than follow Mariah around all day. I'm sure someone is going to hit me with some nonexistent job he was probably out doing though. Now he's back on the scene and unamazingly enough he still has nothing to do but follow her around. 2) Why was Mariah suddenly publicly and keenly hanging out with Nick? Including dinner just the two of them and his being invited to her launch party, especially right after the rumors of Bryan being jealous of him? 3) Why was she, out of nowhere, riding around in Nick's Rolls
Royce? 4) How is it that she found the strength to, at least, remove the necklace, gifted to her by her ex-fiancé, that she had been rocking everywhere when she was supposedly in a relationship with Bryan, to hang out with Nick, her now ex-husband, and now that Bryan's resurfaced, she's again wearing it? 5) Besides the fact that those stories completely trashing Bryan originated from TMZ, Mariah and Stella's go to, who also completely trashed James Packer, while Mariah's piss poor rep could not be bothered to deny those stories, she certainly had no problem denying the story that Bryan was writing a tell all. Oh, but it wasn't because he's some great guy and wouldn't do such a thing but because he'd signed a confidentiality agreement. 6) Why did Mariah tell the TMZ cameras that she was enjoying being single? Any one else is free to believe what they want but I have to call BS. None of those actions speak of a woman in a relationship let alone one with Bryan. Feels more like the wool is trying to be pulled over our eyes, cheap and itchy at that.

I see the jackass is back to make an ass of himself again. That's another thing about the nature of jackasses, they never tire of making asses of themselves. Here we go, anyway. I don't give a rats ass how many A's you received in English. They're obviously not helping you comprehend what I said in my post. You took one sentence out of context and are now trying to make it mean something that it doesn't. As for the rest of your post, again you tried to bring me down. Again, you didn't succeed. It's honestly hilarious. I have no life and I'm spreading hate because I take 5 minutes, if that, out of the roughly 1440 minutes available in one day to give a view point that you don't like or agree with? I'm hiding behind a Mariah icon? I'm always bewildered by how people like you don't get how stupid they sound when they say things like this. Those are such pathetic conclusions but I'm not surprised. I already know that when someone can't refute what the other person is saying, with logic or reasonable evidence to back them up, they go to the childish place. I know I'm not hateful nor do I spread it or will ever be consumed by it but it's quite obvious that you're already consumed by stupidity and no amount of A's can erase that. Still, I want to thank you so much for caring so much about my posts. I feel kind of bad, actually. You're so pressed about my posts and I, on the other hand, scroll right the [censored] on by yours when I see your username because I already know that they're not worth reading. Which, after this post, I will continue to do. Bye clown.

You'd bet wrong because I own MIAM in its entirety and nothing in my post points to me being worked up about the album being incomplete because that's not even what my post is about. Reading is fundamental. However, it's always amusing watching you make an ass of yourself trying to bring others down and never succeeding at it. You're so great at that but I'm sure it just naturally comes with the territory of being a jackass.

They all are a bunch of adults acting like five year olds, not even old enough to keep their stories straight, while hiding behind fake personas. Mariah plays innocent. Stella plays sister and loud foul-mouthed enforcer. Her family turned employees play fake family. Then of course, there's superiority complex having Shawn who takes to social media to play at being Mariah's knight in shining armor and the only one she can trust when he's just another person who goes along with every dumb thought and action. All of these kids stuck in adult bodies but no real adult around to give a sensible word and steer away from danger.

Re: Mariah on TMZ (75,825) (75,838) by Lila from United States
I found it to be more confirmation that she has TMZ in her back pocket. The paps were definitely called and really the TMZ bus just happened to be there. The woman recording was asking her if she and Nick were back together. At first Mariah thought she was asking her about Tonka Toy but then the woman corrected her and Mariah said "We were married, honey. We took two years to get divorced. He's a great guy, though, a great person, a great father." Then the woman proceeds to ask her for advice on getting married. Mariah says "don't do it" then she laughs and says "just be sure about it". I guess it was a nice "interview" though, strangely enough. She didn't ramble, which was nice.
