If there's a snippet, then likely the whole performance was recorded. Just a matter of time, until it is ultimately released.

I'm with you Special K. I like TTF too. It's a refreshing departure from the rest of the album and I can't help but think of the fun Mariah had in the studio with Nelly and Snoop. She loves those impromptu musical moments.

Whitney talks Mariah comparison on Arsenio (81,623)
by Chicago Lamb from USA
| |
|
|
Hey does anyone have the clip where Arsenio interviews Whitney asking what she thinks about the Mariah comparison? Whitney responds with "Mariah is a good singer. Mariah should be known for what Mariah does, not what I do. I don't hear it. Mariah has some of the same tones and inflections, runs." This clip used to be on YouTube, but I can no longer find it. Please send to miakitten@msn.com.

He is 100% correct. "Outside" is the greatest closing track on any album. "Love Takes Time" is #2.

I must be the only lamb who love "Did I do That". One of my favorite tracks on the album, behind Heartbreaker remix.

I think the vocal out takes are coming from Mariah's team. The YouTube channel looks pretty polished. They know (and they are 100% correct) that her fans go nuts to hear anything at all come out of her mouth. They knew this back in the 90's which is why her maxi/remix singles sold so well. If there is just one line sung differently, we want to hear it. It's a testament to the magic that is her voice.

"Melt Away" from Daydream is a great example of Mariah singing in her low register, or a low key.

They've already agreed to Mariah keeping the ring. She doesn't have to do anything except enjoy it. It looks great on her so the media can bite it, with all their made up stories.

Mariah at Golden Globes (80,305)
by Chicago Lamb from USA
| |
|
|
Mariah looked her usual gorgeous self. I loved the shout out to other female writers, so many that go unrecognized due to sexism. Her managment may have had her pre-read/rehearse the nominees for best song so that the pronunciation of winner "Alexandre Desplat" wasn't so fumbled.

Re: Professional footage of NYE rehearsal (80,248) (80,250)
by Chicago Lamb from USA
| |
|

I thought that might be the case, but during the rehearsal she really wasn't singing, just sort of mouthing the words. It was very much a scratch vocal. I'd bet $ and say she did sing 100% live for the actual performance. We all know she could sing the song and its high notes. Lets give her some credit.

NYE comeback (80,019)
by Chicago Lamb from USA
| |
|
|
This is the comeback performance that we've all been waiting for. Watch the ratings skyrocket as everyone wants to see how she does. Brilliant move by Mariah and Dick Clark Productions. She's going to kill it. She may even diva out and have the band start over after a bar or two just to heighten the anticipation.

This write up is a weak, bleak and feeble attempt to give her a ho-hum review for the show. Quite transparent, wouldn't you think?

Article: Mariah Carey - Daydream (79,764)
by Chicago Lamb from USA
| |
|

I love when well written pieces like this really give her the credit she deserves. You've got to think, what those musician friends of her mother's think of Mariah's career. The stories they could tell about the little girl with the big voice popping out of her bedroom to sing along with mom's friends. Pure awesomeness. She is and always will be "one of the greats".

I think they should have used footage from the movie for the 'Lil Snowman video. It would have served both the song and the movie, and even the book much better.

Mariah Carey's All I want for Christmas (79,573)
by Chicago Lamb from USA
| |
|
|
I watched last night and am very happy. It's a cute story that's well narrated by Mariah. What stood out the most is the biracial subtext of the story. A first when it comes to a Christmas special in my view. There are lots of clever tidbits about Mariah's life that long time fans will appreciate. This movie will be around for years to come and will forever feature the beauty of Mariah's voice ("Christmas time is in the Air" and "Miss you Most...") as well as her undeniable song writing capability.
