Re: Obsessed re-enters iTunes chart (90,394) (90,398) by Shezz from Pk
Yeah it was used in a Tik Tok video that went viral. I don’t know the back story of the girl in the video but she looked like she was crying throughout the video. Does anybody know?

Re: Sam Smith's dream (90,380) (90,389) by Shezz from Pk
Sam Smith has mentioned and expressed his love for Mariah multiple times on twitter in the past and she always responds and tells him that she loves him as well. I hope they do record together some day.

Re: 4th of July revisit (90,361) (90,366) by Shezz from Pk
It took a while for me to fall in love with The Roof as well. Like Bill said, the murmuring in the album was something to get used to.

Re: Grammy Album of the Year (90,336) (90,341) by Shezz from Pk
After all the endless Grammy bashing she’s been doing, she’d be lucky to even get an R&B nod I feel.

Re: Caution / world tour record (90,339) (90,340) by Shezz from Pk
That would be amazing Bill but with all the dissing she does for all the Motolla years and how that would force to face the fact that she’s over 30 years old herself - she might just pass on it.

The article wasn't much at all but I like the photoshoot. Classy and fun and not a hint of boobage to be found. That almost never happens.

Re: Mariah's greatest lyric (90,120) (90,122) by Shezz from Pk
Also, I think My All has some of the most beautiful, poignant poetic lyrics: "If it's wrong to love you then my heart just won't let me be right. 'Coz I've drowned in you and I won't pull through without you by my side."

Also from the second verse I love the lyric: "And yet you're so far like a distant star I'm wishing on tonight."

Does anybody get as irked by the "feel your body, feel your body, feel your body, baby baby baby" addition in the live performances?

Re: Madame X (90,100) (90,102) by Shezz from Pk
I grew up on Madonna and then fell in love with Mariah mid 90s. Madonna will always be my first love and her pre 2000s catalog is as nostalgiac for me as Mariah's is if not more. Ofcourse I never "stanned" her half as much as I do Mariah but I can't deny her power (that was). Take a Bow is one of my favourite songs of her's but I totally loved Ray of Light as well, it was her Butterfly in so many ways. Totally new territory lost her a lot of fans but adventurous and revolutionary. Music had some gems as did Confessions on a Dancefloor. I find current Mariah head and shoulders above current Madonna.

Why do we keep forgetting Despacito already equalled it? I think “Bad Guy” is getting really popular - might just close the gap soon.

Re: Stella and company / studio sessions (89,975) (89,983) by Shezz from Pk
Why are people acting like this is brand new information? These clips were out and circulating during the Stella era. They are merely providing more unnecessary details now. Hell, M even confesses to it in With You. She's really tried to turn her life around since being "woke" and back on the wagon. It's sad to see fans lose respect for her again now.

As for the studio sessions, I think M basically spelt it out in the Amsterdam show that it's for the 25th anniversary of Merry Christmas by saying "it's for a special event". Hopefully it's a couple of new tracks to be included and not another rework of AIWFC.

The Daydream CD was my first Mariah purchase and started my obsession with Mariah.

Re: New start (89,604) (89,614) by Shezz from Pk
My very first memory was not a very strong one. I just have flashes of the Someday video. We didn't have MTV until 1992-1993. First major memory of listening to and seeing Mariah was the Hero video.

Wow. That was an amazing performance. Didn't realise he was that talented. Thank you for sharing that. Do you know him personally? Is he a Mariah fan? (Avoiding the L word here.)

Re: Has something happened? (89,582) (89,588) by Shezz from Pk
“Help me make it” is one of the most beautiful covers Mariah has ever done. And sadly the one that the least number of people have heard.

We got tired of discussing Madonna.

Re: It's Like That (1993 Remix) (89,568) (89,572) by Shezz from Pk
Wow. I don’t know what I love more. The effortless ease with which the song fit right into that 90s groove and sounded so good or Oprah learning to dance to it. Thanks Bill. That made my morning.

Re: Migrate (89,533) (89,537) by Shezz from Pk
Should have been a single. She usually opens her tours with songs released as singles. I think she is too concerned that the general attending public must know the songs, at least the opening number. Though she did open All The Hits with Heat. Not a hit or a single.

Re: Madonna's BBMA performance (89,514) (89,519) by Shezz from Pk
I'm one of the first people to cringe when Mariah's girls are hanging out and when she does that ridiculous touching herself move a la "feel your body, feel your body". I think at the BBMAs Mariah came off classier than Madonna.

To be honest, whenever Beyonce, Lady Gaga or JLo etc show too much skin it never looks that distasteful but somehow Mariah often crossed the line over to distasteful and too much.

I still think Mariah did a fantastic job with her look and her overall performance at the BBMAs. If only her vocals had matched it - still came off well.

Re: Madonna's BBMA performance (89,498) (89,502) by Shezz from Pk
Wow Webmaster. Take it a little easy on the Mimi supporters. As for what you said. Last I checked Madonna was 60 and not Mariah. And Madonna clearly had the more sexualized performance, Mariah's was anything but.

Re: BMA vocal analysis (89,459) (89,468) by Shezz from Pk
I think nerves kick in now more than ever because she knows she's lost a lot of her voice and that she can't rely on it anymore. And more so on these public shows because she wants to be known as the voice and she knows people will be expecting her to deliver the enormous vocals when she can't. Isn't there something she can take before these performances to take the edge off a bit? A puff or 2?

Re: BMA vocal analysis (89,452) (89,453) by Shezz from Pk
I tried to watch it all but it's still very awkward almost cringe for me when someone picks Mariah's vocals apart - let alone for 25 minutes. Of course their technical analysis were nothing to be contested with and I could't watch it all so I don't know but do they mention nerves at all? I feel they played a huge part in the performance and she repeatedly said after the performance and several interviews that she wasn't happy at all with her performance and that she was way too nervous to sing the way she does at her concerts. The video sounded as though they were judging this performance to judge where stands in general now. I feel she still does pretty well in tours.

Re: BB Awards (89,417) (89,421) by Shezz from Pk
She looked great. Speech was good. When I heard her struggle to sing my heart broke for her. You could see it was her nerves as usual getting the best of her like they do in these award shows. Same songs she has done much better in Vegas and the Caution tour so it was more of her confidence and nerves being an issue. Though she did manage to pull it off and closed it well. Social media and the crowd loved it.

Re: What song is being performed at Awards Show? (89,401) (89,402) by Shezz from Pk
That seating news might be a rumor. The pic shows Maluma's seat but not really Madonna's. Performer's list doesn't have J Hud. Excited to see how this all pans out.

Re: What song is being performed at Awards Show? (89,394) (89,399) by Shezz from Pk
Im a bit double minded of the J Hud performance. I don't want her to show MC up on her own song, right before MC comes. I was hoping she would just present and not sing because lets face it MC can't sing like that no more. Interestingly enough, the seating chart has MC seated 2 seats away from Maluma and Madonna.
