My MC 2015 fantasy wish list (48,007) by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End (Saturday 22 November 2014; 3:07)
"We've been hearing about things that either never come to fruition, get sabotaged or don't get promoted for decades now. So just for fun I'm putting together a lil list of all the things I wish are gonna be Mariah's big announcement for 2015 and or beyond.
1. A European residency in London to celebrate her 25th anniversary. 2. Carbonated Butterfly drink released internationally using Thirsty as promo. 3. An annual Christmas Broadway show written and produced by MC. 4. The Bond theme, performed, written and produced by MC and a cameo role on screen. I think Bianca needs to dust off her wig for this one. 5.The debut album re-released with the original demos, live performances and unleseased tracks or remixes. 6. An autobiography, maybe as a three-part book series? Childhood - The Sony years - Post Glitter. 7. A cable miniseries about her life using the books as a template. 8. Crave Records 2.0 and an HBO tv documentary chronicling the journey of MC mentoring new artists and maybe giving forgotten one's a new chance. 9. A Christmas movie produced and written by MC with old and new music where she plays at least one of the characters. 10. A DVD to commemorate her 18 US #1's with video commentary on every song and how it came to be from inception to charting. Also, funny anecdotes in the bonus features and guest appearances with her collaborators through the years.
What do you guys wish Mariah's big 2015 announcement will be about?"
I'm doing another wish list for 2016 so I went back to see what I posted last year. So far, I'm a pretty happy Lamb since several of the things on my wish list came true at least partially already. YAY!

Fifth Harmony performing Like Mariah in live set on The Today Show (55,184)
by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
| |
|
|
So it's the third song aside from Bo$$ and Worth It featured on their Today Show Summer Concert Series appearance this morning. Hopefully it's the entire Mariah medley but it's not a single yet. Worth It is still their biggest hit on the charts, in sales and radio. But it certainly bodes wrekin for the future that Like Mariah won out of the 3 song choices the Harmonizer fandom was allowed to pick for this specific performance. I'm super excited and proud of those girls because apart from being very talented singers and extremely hard workers, they have great stage presences and are so personable in interviews, down to earth, funny and entertaining, sweet and great friends to each other IRL. They have just the right amount of ego to achieve longevity in the industry. They've been in the business for 3 years now and you never see or hear about them being disrespectful to their peers, fans, handlers, journalists, hosts etc. That's pretty amazing considering they are 5 tweens on camera and all the mainstream social media outlets, as well as the most obscure ones, almost every waking hour interacting with whomever every single day. Harmonizer rant over and good luck to Ally, Camila, Dinah, Lauren and Normani. Here's the link to the live stream at 07:00 EST, hopefully this post will be uploaded by then.

Bad blood: American idiots edition (55,090)
by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
| |
|
|
JLo's infiltration of the American Idol brand is the reason (a very sensible one considering one pilfered their entire music career from the other) Mariah insisted on a no other female 3 person panel and the producers underhandedly promised her exactly that, until she signed their shady contract. You really think JLo wouldn't have loved to play Nicki's part? It would've been Emmy worthy. Randy was a given and they were cool beans and always had been. And contrary to what The Vendetta likes to falsely perpetuate Mariah's cool with 99% of everyone she's ever met. Be it casual fans, lambs, ex-writing partners, collaborators, industry people most don't know by name as well as her many followers but most notably, her peers and contemporaries all love her. Mariah is a very likeable person. The activity and history of this board is proof of that (btw, thanks for the assist Web Eric ). My point is, that M's very aware of her public image and the machinations behind it. Obviously she doesn't know the minutiae of every single negativity but I digress. So MC detonates the JLo grenade only to find herself on a 4 person panel with an "artist" who'd made it clear beyond windex that she wouldn't be supporting UOMF during the video shoot no less. Ask B. Scott. Something the AI producers had years to sniff out. Word gets around. Nicki Minaj was their Plan B. itch from inception. They, including JLo and TM, played her. It's not complicated. Now AI is cancelled yet it's Mariah's fault?

Cut Wendy some slacks people, a lot of take offs and landings in her airport (55,081)
by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End

Honestly, some of you guys need to chill on Wendy. She is clearly troubled and using her show as a means to work through her personal issues. It happens to the worst of us. And I'm not just saying that to be shady, I felt I had to clarify as that is usually my natural inclination but she's been spilling her own tea for years: "Friends in my head", "In my mind XYZ", real world earth population ca 7 billion a.k.a. you, me and everyone inside Wendy's dome? Really, she's not that monumentally different from half the current posters on this board. I wouldn't be surprised, if? Let me count the ways; 1. Bitching about Mariah's professional/personal involvement with a successful billionaire who just so happens to have a jigsaw social/family life and friendly exes. Bitter much, bitch? 2. Improvising and acting out drama can be very healing, when it actually involves you and not someone you don't even RT on Twitter. But anyone with 20 minutes to chill could've told her MC and JP met in Aspen 2013 when Dembabies were but a Morsel and a Mouthful. For all we know, JP was St Nick that year (inside joke). I guess Santa grants his own wishes occasionally. 3. A woman who relies, heavily, on trade trix, smoke and mirrors to pull off her look does not have the dressing room big enough to be looking down on a man who is still taller than her even if she wore 5 inch heels and a bouffant wig. Face it: Virgin Mariah is hot commodity no matter what because her best features are found in her.

The anti-Mariah agenda (55,014)
by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
| |
|
|
Look who's still trying to make Fetch happen by perpetuating the urban legend that Mariah downplayed her racial makeup in the beginning when in fact her story has been consistent from day 1? She was never anyone's Judas. Mariah's looks make racist people subconsciously very uncomfortable because it becomes so obvious that dividing the human race up in skin tones, hair textures and assigning +/- characteristics to them is a fools errand. She is proof that race is a figment, an "idea" (not the best one) rather than a reality. I know a family, Nordic, with three sisters and a brother. The oldest has big red curly hair, the brother is dark blonde with waves, the middle sister has black curly hair and the youngest is a high blonde with bone straight hair. If you wanted to, depending on seasons, you could assign them all to different races (whatever that means) or you could just accept the fact that they belong to the same family, which is the actual truth. But the anti Mariah agenda thrives on the idea of her being a foreign "other" because it preys on the minds of the weak and easily fooled too dumb to take the time to Google or YouTube Mariah Carey 1990 or any year. That's why they fail to mention broadcaster by name, link to written interviews or videos whenever they claim Mariah said or did something they have zero proof of. Being all vague for no reason, in this day and age when almost anything can be found on the internet, is your #1 clue that you're dealing with a liar.

Bad blood: a jewel who escaped (54,960)
by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End

|
After Tommy Mottola was interviewed by Howard Stern on Jan 30th 2013, singer-songwriter Jewel made her second (?) appearance, February 5th 2013 and followed up on a previously less fleshed out comment she had made (about TM) at 20:00 continued at 27:00. HS: Then Danny Goldberg discovers you and a couple of people were bidding on you, right? Jewel: And Tommy Mottola. HS: TM too, why didn't you go with him? Jewel: (smiles) He struck me as slimy. HS: He did? Jewel: Yeah Robin: Tommy Mottola? Jewel: I could be wrong, I don't mean any insult to him. HS: You mean you had a meeting with him and you didn't vibe with him Jewel: I just didn't vibe with him and he struck me as kind of a slick guy. Interesting portrait of Jewel and what goes on behind the music. Jewel signed her first record deal in March of 1994 with Atlantic. That's right after Music Box. Mariah would've still been considered a blushing new bride and her husband, Tommy Mottola, the same man who at the time gave Jewel, then still a teenager, the creeps. She was living in her car without a penny to her name but had more lived just that little bit more to where she could spot a shark thirsty for blood. Two very different first impressions by Mariah and Jewel 7 years apart but also extremely similar last impressions by the same two girls. All credit goes to Jewel in this because for all of his salacious digging into his guests lives, Howard and Robin are often hypocritical cowards. My 2¢.

"Saying his name three times will allow him to escape into the world of the living like Bettlejuice. " Perhaps some people secretly want Bettlejuice back and are willing to feign outrage to conjure him? It's all pretty transparent and amateur. Or they could just have their message boards mixed with their ouija boards. I don't know but I could be right. Let's watch and see how real the struggle really is.

Nathan and MC in the red Alaïa (54,913)
by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
| |
|
|
Nathan, It's obvious she didn't Photoshop the picture when she's in the red Alaïa because she purposely leaned on the back of a chair (straight horizontal line) as well as has a busy backdrop with straight lines on the two cushions on the sofa. In any other picture you might have had a case but not this particular one. People Photoshop Mariah's images all the time and it's almost always to make her look bigger. She's actually making a point when she chose to upload this on her Instagram because if you try to Photoshop her waist to look wider it would be instantly obvious on account of what I already mentioned above. Propaganda isn't just the written word (or word of mouth) anymore, it's pictures and videos too. That's how come we have two very different perceptions of what Mariah actually looks like IRL in the media on any given day. Photoshop and picture manipulations work both ways but thankfully there are some visual cues that can help us determine 100% what is what in some cases. My 2¢.

WoolPac and The Wendy Williams Experience (54,912)
by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
| |
|
|
Who looks at Wendy Williams and goes: That's an undercover lamb? Answer: There is no mystery in the meat. Wendy doesn't like Mariah, she(admittedly) never really has and it shows in her duplicitous double talk. Which is fine, it's been established many times that not everybody likes Mariah so it's not a big deal. Also, whomever she has lurking Mariah forums etc is pretty useless because they can never sniff out a scoop. Notice how she's stopped referring to that random staffer as a "lamb" lately. On another note, WoolPac is making a lot of folks act out recently, The fallout from a lil strategic PDA has never been more visible. It's so funny. Team Mariah needs to always be playing media chess like this from now on. It's working and I love that all she had to do was hold JP's hand and give him an almost kiss. At least one girl is jealous of the public handholding alone, poor thing. Another doesn't even have a name attached to her hand. But whatever, Go MC, get 'em. I hereby endorse WoolPac 2016. May MC and James Packer live long and PDA.

The moral outrage and hate over MC leaking an "almost kiss" with JP after the scandalous handholding on Saturday is rampant in the TMZ /Daily Mail commentary and I find it hilarious. Mariah really is Mary Poppins and people are having nuclear meltdowns trying to figure out the simplest things: Boy meets girl. Boy likes girl and persues her. Girl acquiesces and finally holds boy's hand. World goes crazy. Girl is still single. The beginning. I like how every day something new is added to this story. Very cinematic

Mariah looks like a billion dollar babe in a wetsuit. She's been wearing them for a good while since she's always in some body of water. There's a million reasons why she could be sporting one at any given moment. I love it, I hope we get to see her in all sorts of designer wetsuits from here go Infinity. Especially since the wetblanket brigade think they have any jurisdiction over Mariah's body whatsoever. Shout out to Giovanni and Like, good looking out.

Yeah, Mariah is snatching every model's bikiniline lately. First Kate Upton's Game Of War gig, then Miranda Kerr's alleged secret beau a.k.a. JP. Models, you need to stay outta her lane because MC is not playing. I'm very entertained by this drama-free drama. The shade is seven levels deep and goats everywhere are running for higher ground trying to escape the tsunami that is an unmarried Mariah Carey. Take heed you all. I hope whomever she falls for is a genuinely good guy above anything, honest and trustworthy and emotionally mature enough for real love. God bless.

Mariah, a piano and the divine spirit, I'm saying, why go over the Brooklyn bridge for water? (54,730)
by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End

|
|
1. Vanishing 2. Underneath The Stars 3. Melt Away 4. It's A Wrap Why are there only 4 songs released in Mariah's prolific 25 year discography where she is credited the sole writer or producer? We know she now regrets giving some collaborators credit as songwriters when she really wrote the vast majority of the melody, lyrics and basic songstructure. I'm a huge MJ fan and so I've heard his demos for songs like Billion Jean [sic] that he recorded on tapes and just by beatboxing and singing he would lay out an entire song acapella. That's how come he is credited as sole songwriter and only shares production credits with Quincy. No one can tell me Mariah isn't on par with MJ who also wasn't a trained piano player and didn't read music. So, why was/is still Mariah made to share writing credit as a rule rather than as the exception? Diane Warren is another songwriter who still uses cassette tapes to demo her song ideas and then let's an in-house employee tweak and polish them. I wish Mariah would finally get it through her head that she doesn't have to give credit every single time someone adds a note. That's what remixers are for. Write the songs on your own, like MJ or Diane Warren, register it as is. Get an in-house demo producer whose sole purpose is to tune and tweak your songs like Peter Saarsgard does for RealSongs. If you end up using his/hers musical ideas/input and feel generous then credit them as producer, like on Dreamlover. You owe it to yourself MC. Truth.

Bianca's return is imminent and I am too psyched to play it cool. *screaming and squeeing on the inside on account of it being almost midnight and I'm not that type of neighbour* Whatever, I don't care that I'm not making sense. I wonder if Bianca's gonna make her appearance on Game Of War because that's what I've between wishing on the low since Friday whenever that broke. I'm telling you, it's like I have ESPN or something. But I don't wanna be greedy, let Bianca reemerge in whatever incarnation just as long as she shows up. So how do you guys think it's gonna happen? Why is Billboard's Trevor Anderson not crediting MC as the main songwriter of her own debut album? (54,689)
by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
| |
|
|
Who the hell writes an in depth review of one of the greatest artists to ever do it's debut album, track by track, but forgets to mention that she wrote every single song, many before she was even out of high school? Never mind how the only person credited as co-writer is a guy who aside from his connection to Mariah has left not a skidmark on music since they parted ways almost 25 years ago. Not to mention how she produced Vanishing, a standout track to critics and fans alike, on her own that's aged line a fine wine. Someone like Adele's obviously been influenced by the kind of bare production Mariah had to fight to keep back then. Trevor Anderson is clearly a hack because just recently he has done interviews with people like Charlie Puth, Tori Kelly and Rachel Platten, but had no problems at all making sure the Billboard readers understood he was a songwriter and producer in full detail. Even when he shades Mariah's lyrics he can't bring himself to actually give her credit for writing it. Why does a "writer" neglect to give a a fellow scribe their just dues at the one moment where he would be expected to, the retrospective/review of said writer's debut works? Couldn't Gary Trust have written that article? Billboard, a magazine dedicated to stats, credits and lists is always doing passive aggressive things where Mariah's concerned and I'm sick of it. Team MiMi needs to market her as a songwriter 24/7. MC's next album title: Songwriter Supreme, Songbird Sublime. Done.

Mariah's tweet/Instagram on #MC25 with a letter to the Lambily (54,600)
by Baby from Dreamville...Where There's No Beginning & There is No End
| |
|
|
After waiting my whole life to see my name on an album ("LP"), the label let me know that they'll only be making CDs from 1990 onward. Total devastation. In their defense, they were nice enough to print a few vinyls and gave me some. Listening to it today, not every song is a favorite, but there are some songs that are still special to me, like "Vision of Love" which was on my demo. And even some obscure ones like "Sent From Up Above” and "Alone In Love”, which I started writing on my mom's piano when I was 15 years old. Then there’s "Vanishing” which so many fans tell me is their favorite song of mine. Those songs make me feel nostalgic and proud of that young girl who had so much ambition and passion for music. I still do, maybe even more. I will never let go of that. Thank you so much to all my fans, those who were here from the very beginning and those who have joined this lambily of mine along the way. I love you more than words can express, and I thank you for letting me feel this connection to you through my music. I hope you stay with me on this journey for years to come. MC. This is my second attempt at posting Mariah's full message to us. The first one didn't work out at all but whatever. Happy 25th Mariah Carey and many more.

"How lovely to see so much judgment being tossed around in this board. Mariah is fat in here, Mariah doesn't look good in that dress. And, amazingly, so much expertise being shared. Mariah needs to do this, Mariah needs to stop doing that. Mariah is indeed lucky." And she apparently listens to them. Well she doesn't at all but let's pretend like Mariah didn't say just a few weeks ago that she doesn't pay attention to negativity, kind of her trademark personality trait. If anything, she probably does the total opposite of what most people think she should do. Which is her right as an individual, an independent woman and free spirit. It's not like following her instincts haven't paid off when even the free throw off life gifted her the precious Dem Babies. Tell her she needs a 7 year break and she breaks the internet. These April to April fools are quite amusing. When is the last time their strategies actually worked? You can't catch a Honey B. Fly with vinegar. Anyway, thanks for your post Bino, God bless.

Let's celebrate with a list of things MC hasn't done before. 1. Vision of a beauty brand endorsement, knock on Elizabeth Arden's red door, why don't you? Or, better yet, start your own brand: 500 aowez of beauty tools 2. There's got to be a way for M to get voiceover work in animated films. It's not like she doesn't have an arsenal of characters in her throat or anything. 3. I don't wanna cry because my hair is in knots. Where is a hair care line? 4. Someday soon she should be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. That'll make it a lot easier for her to get her four in the should at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame that is notoriously snobby. 5. My uncle Vanishing, or some other classic stage play, musical original play. ThespianRiah. 6. All in your music box. I want one that plays Mariah songs and we get to chose any song from your discography. 7. Alone in writing and producing a whole song. Dare I wish for a whole album? Sometimes Mariah's generosity in sharing writing credit has helped erode the perception of her as the genius songwriter she really is. 8. You need Mimi to write and sing the Team USA Olympic theme or the next FIFA Worldcup song. 9. Sent from app above: Mariah Careyoke etc etc. 10. Prisimer: Where are the exclusive Lambily jewels designed by MC? Like charmbracelets in real gold and silver. Think quality, not quantity. 11. Love takes too much time. Mariah, hook us up. An international dating service for the Lambily? Make it happen.

I love the new cocky, unapolagetic, take-no-prisoners Mariah. Finally that part of her is being fully emancipated to the public. And her team is airtight, no leaks, they all understand the enemy they are dealing with. I bet you the God Of War people have seen the Infinity video clips, along with her other stellar looks from this era, and immediately sent for a raven to summon her, I mean, no offence to Kate Upton but she's got nothing on Mariah at any age, at least not yet. Of course she is smart enough to harness the synergy and be involved with the music production etc. But my favourite thing about this whole get is that it is something new and targets a completely new demo, although, Mariah could be a secret gamer and us mere mortals would have no clue. I hope we get to see her riding a horse and playing an Epic character with an accent (i. e. not American). Come rule us Khalessi, expand your empire to infinity and beyond. And just for fun at 0:30.

Especially now. It makes sense and I see it succeeding. I'm sure she's always working on new music and right now she can't afford to keep any musical gems to herself. She's been around this long because of her prolific tendencies, not inspite of it. She shouldn't wait at all to do anything she wants, not when someone like Janet Jackson has been gracious enough to warn of her return. Musing: Imagine if Mariah and Janet did a world tour together? She needs to teach The Vendetta a lesson for sabotaging her projects at every turn. 1. Vision Of Love, arguably the only gospel song to ever be a Billboard Hot 100 #1. 2. MTV unplugged, garnered I'll Be There, the only live BB HOT 100 #1. 3. Wrote AIWFCIY, the last original Christmas classic and most popular modern Yuletide song worldwide ever since. #1 In Japan. 4. Fantasy remix featuring ODB. Need I say more? 5. My point, as it has always been and will be, is that Mariah isn't the kind of artist you can limit in any way. Most true artists aren't but she's broken every ceiling put upon her, from her mixed heritage, dysfunctional home life to abusive relationship with Tommy and the aftermath that echos his vendetta against her to this very day. Now, if you don't want Mariah to succeed as an artist, of course you'd rather she disappear as that is the easiest way to get your wish. If haters label her a has been now, imagine if she took a hiatus? There's always room for great artistry, but we can do without stupid covert Sabotage. Nice try though.

These things make me happy when they are captured on film. Diana Ross just joined Twitter the other night to much applause, M welcomed her of course. I would gag if Mariah and she redid "The Theme from Mahogany". So many are the possibilities when legends collide.
