Re: Beyonce a better songwriter than Mariah? (67,252) (67,255) by B from USA
B is overrated.

Re: Weight on the face (67,249) (67,253) by B from USA
They said the filler Kylie Jenner used on her lips was temporary. So I'd said whatever filler Mariah's used is temporary as well.

Re: New sound (67,229) (67,231) by B from USA
I agree. However, she can't stray to far from her signature sound or she risks alienating her fans.

Re: New sound (67,208) (67,220) by B from USA
I hope she works with Calvin Harris or Skillarex. I want to hear her sing over a current beat. I imagine it would sound like an updated version of her collaborations with C+C Music Factory and David Morales. I wish she'd remix Meterotie with resung vocals with Morales and release it to tide us over until the new album or single is released. Or the unreleased #Beautiful remix. She likes the work they did on Butterfly. I'd argue she also likes their work on Emotions and Daydream as well.

Re: New sound (67,215) (67,217) by B from USA
Mariah will never work with Ben or Walter again. Ben had Mariah sign a contract giving him not only songwriting royalties but half of her earnings as well. He continued to earn 10% of her earnings from her recording career. Walter chose Tommy over Mariah. If he hadn't they would still be working together. Mariah's a loyal person but once you cross her she cuts you off.

Taraji P. Henson (67,203) by B from USA
I love that Taraji continues to praise Mariah.

New sound (67,199) by B from USA
I want Mariah to write songs with catchy poetic lyrics like she did during the Daydream and Butterfly eras. I want her to write with Bruno Mars and The Smeezingtons, Frank Ocean, The Weekend, and Miguel and Happy Perez. I also want her to work with Diane Warren, David Foster, and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. I'd also love for her to work with David Morales again on an epic dance remix or remixes with resung vocals like she did in the 90's.

I'd love that. Your [sic] too kind. Thanks so much.

Emotions (67,182) by B from USA
Emotions hit number one on the Hot 100 this week in 1991.

If you're of Latin descent, a woman, a homosexual, or disabled, you should pray he doesn't win.

TAOLG was never going to be a hit.

You're Mine (Eternal) (67,148) by B from USA
I played YME for a friend and he said she should release the thing and replayed it several times. He said the last song he heard by her was #Beautiful. She needs to play the game. She's never going to make a comeback with a media blitz. Tons and tons of live performances and interviews.

TGIFY (67,147) by B from USA
Mariah slayed this performance of TGIFY.

Infamous (67,143) by B from USA
Infamous isn't a Mariah Carey song, it's a song Mariah Carey wrote for Empire. Stop comparing it to Mariah Carey songs.

Re: Empire (67,107) (67,142) by B from USA
In this article Sanaa Hamri talks about Mariah's appearance and Infamous. Mariah's appearance wasn't to help Jamal it was to showcase how bad his PTSD is and his growing dependence on pain pills.

Just because we're lambs doesn't mean we're not critical. There is a difference between constructive criticism and hating.

Re: New "Greatest Hits" CD? (67,136) (67,139) by B from USA
Probably not since Epic just released an updated version of #1's and we would have heard about it. I hope they reissue Mariah Carey with the demos and a box set of all of her Columbia/Sony albums. I'd also love for Sony to reissues all of her 90's singles. I had every CD single she's released until 2005 but my house burnt down and I lost all of them.

Re: Bruno Mars - 24K Magic (67,123) (67,128) by B from USA
I also want Mariah to work with Bruno. I love When I Was Your Man and Locked Out Of Heaven. I think they could write an amazing ballad together.

Re: Lord forgive me (67,098) (67,110) by B from USA
Have you ever read any of his posts? If he doesn't like her that's fine but his continued presence is not. He hasn't liked her or anything she's done in years. Besides no one bashed him. They simply asked valid questions like are you being paid to make these disparaging remarks. He was also called out for his obvious racism. If he offered constructive criticisms it wouldn't bother anyone but he doesn't.

Re: Empire (67,102) (67,107) by B from USA
Her appearance was a cameo and she slayed. She's proven herself as an actress with Wise Girls, Precious, and The Butler. She was awarded the Breakthrough Performance Award by The Palm Springs Film Festival. This is an excerpt of Variety's review of the film: "Among the many delightful surprises in the film is Mariah Carey, who is pitch-perfect as a welfare counselor and serves as this demi-tragedy's Greek chorus. It's possible that many viewers won't recognize her until the final credits, but like so many things about 'Push', the performance is disarming."
