About Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter:

Re: Relevant? (65,390) (65,392) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I honestly will never understand why Mariah hired Stella in the first place. Let's leave aside all of Stella's cheap antics. Let's just first and foremost focus on the fact that Stella has had absolutely no experience managing any Hollywood celebrity, let alone someone as big as Mariah. Her entire background comes from reality show productions. I'll put aside my feelings about that. So what exactly made Mariah think that this person will be able to really bring some drastic improvement to her career? She could hire anyone in the world. With all the experience in the field she is good at. I just don't get it. Then to hand over her finances and legal matters to members of the same family? This is one of the most baffling moves ever.

Re: New billboard (65,372) (65,382) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Hahahah the hand wrapped around the head is not random though, I mean there has to be a creative way to flaunt that legendary "biggest engagement ring in Hollywood". I would be flaunting it too.

Re: Texting before "Faded" (65,359) (65,381) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
She should show some of the live footages I undubbed during the show or have a special additional episode of just the concert footage. She should go for undubbed footage because fans really praised her vocals during the show, so it must have been great. She sounded good as it is in low quality videos, she'll sound better in HQ. So ya just show them that she still has it. The reality show should definitely focus on her as a performer, a singer and a song writer.

New music (65,380) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
It has been said that Mariah will sing new material in Vegas this time. Does anyone know how many shows she has during this leg? Because her Vegas shows start in a few days and that could mean we might get a new song sooner than we thought. Empire isn't until a month and half away and her Vegas shows are likely to be done by then. So if she is going to bring new songs to Vegas, are these the ones she wrote for Empire or for her next album?

Re: Billboard photo (65,358) (65,368) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
The picture in itself isn't bad. Mariah has had racier ones. I mean her pregnancy shoot alone can put this to shame. The one with Nick grabbing her boobs haha. I think she looks good in it and they kept her normal size, didn't shrink her, which is good, but I don't find this relevant to her Vegas show. This is something I'd expect for a magazine shoot, a promo for her next album or whatever. I just don't see how this "advertises" her Vegas stint. She looks very much like "Glitter" era Mariah here.

The mystery of the thief who pissed Mariah off intrigues me to this very day. I really want to do who did it and what the idea was and if they got a lot of success from it, like in the case of JLo.

Re: Texting before "Faded" (65,344) (65,351) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
But Taylor's 1989 was released way after Mariah's. It couldn't have been Taylor. Then why would it be a problem for Mariah if Mariah's album came first?

Re: Billboard photo (65,343) (65,349) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
What in the chocolate fudge? We can post photos too? How? Haha and about the photo, this is just so unnecessary for a Vegas show promo. I mean if it was a magazine spread, a tour book or a album booklet, it was fine, but this is ridiculous for her Vegas show. Why couldn't she go for something like this or even this (if she wanted something more revealing) or something like this (which has the nostalgia factor and that's what her Vegas show is about). I don't understand her choices really. It's like she is almost demanding to be ridiculed by the public at this point.

Check out these twins who look so much like Roc. So cute. And RibbonB thanks for the link. Mariah's kids are really adorable.

Re: Style (65,325) (65,327) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Dahlin', Stella realizes that all too well. But the point is she doesn't know any better, probably doesn't even care to know better because her main aim is to reduce the unemployment in America by getting jobs for her entire family, which she has accomplished. The woman's knowledge on style and music is non-existent.

Hope for the next album's theme (65,320) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I hope the next album is more uplifting and flirty/sexy. MIAM basically was the diary of a woman with a broken heart. That was probably one of the ways she healed herself, by pouring her heart in an album, letting her feelings out and getting done with it. Kind of like therapy. The whole vibe on MIAM was gloomy and dark and sad, something which reflects the phase she was going through at that time. So now that she seems to be in a better place (or so I hope), I hope the next album is more colorful, with different flavors, more uplifting songs, sexy numbers, some nice ballads and fingers crossed for a song that turns out into a women empowerment anthem with another major female artist. But I am probably pushing it with the last one. So yes, basically I would like a happier album overall, but I wouldn't mind a song which can serve like a BGK part 2 as well. That song was a gem.

Who did you think Ol' Dirty Bastard was? (Haha good Lord, Tony Bennett does not deserve this kind of treatment.)

Hell to the yes we did. I'm still Agent M in the pool. And that over the pop corn counter move of "HeartBreaker" has been tried and tested. No, it doesn't look remotely as good as Mariah's but I don't care. Plus we are also "Fantasy" Mariah on the roller coaster, let's be real.

Texting before "Faded" (65,297) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
So the texting side by side with the scribbling noise before "Faded" wasn't random, it was part of MIAM's theme. Not exactly a theme but let me explain. So you know how Mariah sometimes writes lyrics down on her iPhone? So the scribbling and texting was her just noting down the lyrics "It was overcast that day, I was feeling some kind of way". You can also hear her whisper that over the texting/scribbling. I am calling this a theme because you can hear her light a match right before the start of "You're Mine". She really did light a match for effect while recording this, as she also put this up on her instagram with a caption that went something like "I promise I'm not burning down the studio". At that point we didn't know why she was using it but it was used right at the beginning of YME. The right before "Money" she says "I can't leave it like this", it's apparently what she said once she heard the full album before "Money" was recorded, and she decided something was missing. She also kept the drunk banter before "Dedicated" for effect. She probably wanted to include her writing process somehow in the album or something. I don't know but ya these are some examples of small add-ons she included before the songs.

Re: Me I Am Mariah (65,287) (65,296) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Um clearly the person rapping on "Honey" is not Tony Bennett, Tony was the rapper featured on "Fantasy". How can you mix up the iconic "Me and Mariah, go back like babies and pacifier" with Honey's rap? Haha.

Tmz (65,292) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
So now Cali airport is also done with the boob out era. But what poster are they talking about? Did she shoot a new ad for Vegas?

Re: This is what you came for (65,261) (65,271) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I was hoping Justin Bieber would step in again and help Mariah haha. He has 2 new songs out so I was hoping one of them would just go to #1. Or at least for Sia to stay there long enough for Rihanna to drop. What's scary is though this song by Rihanna and Calvin is actually quite catchy and may be on the charts for a while.

She is, she met up with her during her Sweden stop and then Josefin went along with Mariah for a few stops after that during the SSFT.

Re: 2013 (65,253) (65,255) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Rachel would be perfect. Mariah just needs to let Rachel have 100% control and then no one can stop her from being a fashionista. I know some people here will now cringe or remark saying "Why is it important to be a fashionista, Mariah is a singer not a model" but we live in a time where visuals are very important. Kylie Jenner with zero talent is getting millions simply because people are obsessed with her fashion, same with Kim. Yes it might not always translate into album sales (like it didn't for JLo) but this is a better way of staying relevant than by drinking and exposing oneself. Plus JLo with her below average songs managed to chart over Mariah's high quality songs. I just can't deal with this. Forget the age factor or that she is a mother, the outfits Mariah mostly wears (leaving aside the exceptions) won't be chic or flattering on anyone.

Re: Intervention (65,244) (65,249) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Actually it's her team that's needs to stop enabling her, because how much can the fans really stop her when she doesn't even know what we are talking about? She may have gotten rid of her previous team but she is still surrounded only by "yes men" who are there to benefit themselves by sucking up to Mariah. Not that Mariah isn't responsible for her actions but enabling her is encouraging her to do this more. Her team won't tell her to stop because they love partying and then posting drunk videos on social media thinking it's the best thing to do. Only thing it is doing is damaging Mariah and her reputation further because people already think she is all about splashes and boobs. So ya if she has no access to what the fans are saying, the fans are not responsible for this, it's her team and Mariah herself.

This is what you came for (65,243) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Does anyone know if there is any chance this song will go to #1 next week? It dropped to #5 last week but it got to #3 this week.
