Re: Memoirs (66,705) (66,731) by RibbonB from USA Mimi L. I love Up Out My Face and the reprise, hahah. Both are so fun. The Mariah and Nicki moments were so cute and animated. Their "BFFness" didn't last long and turned into the "Idol fiasco", which is doubly sad. Imperfect was such an imperfect song though, maybe if they had polished it up with a nice guitar, vs. the weak keyboards I remember it having. I was just watching the old interview where Mariah discussed the writing on Memoirs. The interviewer asked her about Betcha Gon' Know and she said it was just based on note snippets and not on any particular person and she said she had some very mean co-writers with active imaginations, to paraphrase. I think we got a lot of The Dream's personality and type of petty on that project, lol. Memoirs might have been a sort of ramshackle pre-Lemonade of unfactual, facts and what nots. Ledisi (66,658) by RibbonB from USA I love the singer Ledisi, she has some really great songs and super great singing technique. I wish that she and Mariah would collaborate on a couple of interesting songs for Mariah's next project. Ledisi is well trained and so talented, but very underrated. I was hopeful when I noticed that Ledisi went to one of the early legs of Mariah's Vegas shows. M. didn't show her backstage or anything, but maybe she wanted to keep it secret that they are working together. I'm just hoping. Ledisi has worked with Big Jim in the past, so there may be a connection. Here is a great interview with Ledisi about music and songwriting as well as three very live vocal renditions of her songs. It is just her and two excellent background vocalists and a guitarist and you feel each song fully and beautifully. She is one artist who's acoustic versions are just as fleshed out and magnificent as her recordings. Her look here is unique, but fun. Lol. (Saturday 24 September 2016; 18:28)

Re: Empire song update (66,613) (66,627) by RibbonB from USA It is Rodney and Esther Dean. She probably worked with JD etc. because she could bring them to her on tour and vacation. I think she is just back to what works for her too. The music for the first episode of Empire was just ok and it is also written to fit the context of the show as well as to be a single, perhaps working with her normal team was designed to write a song more for her than the show. I just hope she sings more and is not a feature like she was on Beautiful. (Friday 23 September 2016; 17:30)

SSFT in Hawaii (66,551) by RibbonB from USA Jussie Smollett just announced that he will be opening for Mariah on her one night only in Hawaii on November 25th. This should be interesting. It just gets from bad to worse from exploitative videos of M. to now one's with her children, it's rather pathetic and there are still over two months to go before the "Kardashians Next Tax Bracket" airs with Mariah and her crew of parasites. Which leaves them lots of time to exploit to try to scare up interest for themselves, because ain't nobody interested in them by themselves. And you stated it, who is supervising these kids? Who is taping them and who is uploading these videos? And worse, what else might they be taping? Mariah and "Old Stale Ho Stella" and her kids is one thing and bad enough, but don't put the dem babies in the stunts too. (Tuesday 20 September 2016; 17:20)

A teenager controls her social media and a preteen is "babysitting" her kids and posting inappropriate videos. It is too much. These people are involved in every aspect of her life and now it is clear of her children's lives. And yet many other lambs are out there still saying "yass queen" they are having fun. Something is way rotten in the mix there. Funny you should mention Trump. I said weeks ago, that my gut tells me if/when he loses, things may right themselves. Here is hoping. Sasha's YouTube channel? (66,357) by RibbonB from USA So it seems the littlest Bulochnikov has a YouTube channel and she is putting out videos that include Roc and Roe. The kids appear to be having fun, but this creates lots of questions. I hope Mariah and Nick put a stop to this. While I enjoy seeing their children, it is probably more appropriate if only the parents release videos which include them. (Friday 16 September 2016; 18:20)

I don't check for those other ladies, but they get a lot of flack online too during awards shows or other trending events. But if you like it, then cool, many people are saying "yass queen", so why worry about those who don't at this moment in time? And Mariah is the one giving mixed signals, making many people wonder "are you ok Mimi?" I forgot, but early on one of the others' nick name was "JHo" and Brittany is lost in space for over a decade now and living under conservertorship, so maybe she gets sympathy for that alone. Lol. Article: "Everyone" should watch Bishop T.D. Jakes' new show (66,326) by RibbonB from USA I think we might start hearing about her faith again soon. Hopefully. I noticed she had a little cross on her neck on the pic with Rocky. Whatever is going on, I hope she gets back to some authenticity vs. all the stunts. It's like she embraced being a knockoff vs. the designer brand she has been. Knock offs only seem to do well on the streets. The Kardashians are their own cheap brand, being well promoted by the E-vil network, Lol. Mariah was already relevant and could be doing a reality show in conjunction with her tour, on a so much higher level. We shall see if it interests any new fans, while it turns off many old die hard fans. It is a gamble, whether it is her own or she is a big chip is yet to be known. Re: Empire music (66,312) (66,319) by RibbonB from USA I saw an Empire commercial yesterday and heard a snippet of a song that could have been by Mariah. If it was, it sounded pretty good. I will listen closely the next time I watch Fox. I think these new writers will be good for the show. Jerkins probably bringing the r&b and Dean the more hip hop flare. The music is just the backdrop. While watching Queen Sugar last night, I noticed they used Alabama Shakes' song "Gemini" as a co-star during the love scene with the fine Ralph Angel. Yummy. Lol. That show might become huge for their soundtrack like Empire did in it's first season. I hope Mariah's song on Empire gets a big spot and a big boost. (Thursday 15 September 2016; 16:38)
