I think we've all seen it coming for a while, but it's just horrible to think how painful this will be for her. She seemed like she had it all a few years ago. Wedding ring / tour (46,043) by Martyn from England, UK I was only referring to the Hercules premiere, in which she is categorically not wearing a ring. Look at the photos, there's loads of close ups of her hand. She's not wearing any rings. As for the tour, I agree with you Stephen. I don't think you're being harsh at all. That said, like you I would still buy a ticket and go. I'd just be aware that I was in for an evening of little movement and a lot of lip-syncing. (Friday 15 August 2014; 18:21)

World tour / Carla from Portugal (46,029) by Martyn from England, UK I agree. I don't want to sound negative, but I think it's bizarre that there's been no mention of US/Europe. I'm pretty sure she won't come to the UK anyway. If she didn't with Emancipation, why would she now? I think she'll finish Asia, do a few dates in North America and that will be it. Katy Perry (45,718) by Martyn from England, UK Katy Perry is horrific. She has no talent and I will never understand her appeal. However, I really don't get the drama. I see the Mariah mention as a nod to Mariah, and as for the video depiction (stroking her legs in a tight dress), it's incredibly accurate. It's just a bit of fun, you're all taking it too seriously. Favourite era Of Mariah's voice (45,583) by Martyn from England, UK Mariah's voice has changed so much over her career, and there are various "eras" of hers that I liked both past and present, but I actually think my favourite era of her voice was in the Mariah Carey/Emotions/Unplugged era. Her voice is so light and effortless here, and whilst I appreciate the silkyness of the Daydream era and the powerful vocals she gave in the Glitter era, I will always class her first few years as her vocal peak. If somebody who could actually sing (or had an ounce of personality) mocked Mariah it may concern me, but I have more talent in my big toe, and therefore Katy's opinion on anything is automatically void. I just hope it's a good video (with a narrative) and that it gets the push it deserves. YDKWTD could be huge for Mariah with the right backing. And thanks (re: my TAOLG cover remake). No single (44,503) by Martyn from England, UK I hate to be negative, but basically I don't think we'll get another single. Mariah has fulfilled her contract with Def Jam. Why would they spend money on a single release/video when the album has sold so badly and had so many poorly charting singles? Def Jam don't care about Mariah, and quite frankly, I'm happy the contract is over. At least she left on a high. The sales may not be great, but we all know this is her best album in years. As gutted as I'll be to never see a video for YDKWTD, I say let's enjoy this album for now, then [...]. (Thursday 5 June 2014; 9:11)

I've written a track by track review for Attitude Magazine which should be published this weekend and I rated it as the standout ballad. I think her vocal is honest and sincere. They used to be so nice about Mariah but for some reason Sam has decided he wants to mock her in every post, even positive ones. I've stopped visiting that site because of it. In other news, I visited a beach today as the sun was setting so naturally decided to remake The Art Of Letting Go single cover. Favourite and least favourite videos (43,396) by Martyn from England, UK Favourite: Shake It Off - So good. And so underrated. Love Takes Time - Beautifully shot, and Mariah looks amazing. Breakdown - Absolutely mesmerising. Worst: I Wanna Know What Love Is - CGI football pitch? Really?. Auld Lang Syne - Enough said. Can't Take That Away - Like a high school PowerPoint presentation.
