About Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter:

Glitter (64,736) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Oh my gosh that's "Glitter" being played in the background. Haha is Mariah finally acknowledging this gem after so may years.

Re: Theme (64,733) (64,734) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
If she wants a comeback in any capacity, she will have to set everything up in advance. This is where Stella can show what she is capable of, if she is capable at all, apart from partying and getting her name in the magazine articles alongside Mariah. Mariah should learn by now that just by using her name she can't get commercial success on new projects. Yes people will still pay good money to watch her in Vegas and tours for the nostalgia, but for her to push her new material, she can't rely on her brand. She needs to not only woo back her original listeners but also appeal to the newer, younger audiences (if she wants another successful era). But even success aside, the cheapening of her image needs to stop and if she is really the diva who loves everything luxurious, she needs to act like she has the budget to pull of luxurious visuals. And no that doesn't mean her laying half naked dripping in diamonds. We all know she can do that everyday.

Theme (64,730) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
If she wants to venture into the dark, moody, artsy territory, I'm fine with it. Songs like BGK, "The Roof", "My All", "Looking In" are some examples of dark and moody songs that I really love. "My All" already had a very sultry yet haunting look about it and it's one of my favorite videos. In my mind I always wished for a dark, moody video for BGK (the opportunity lost on that one, just too much, my heart still aches for that). Anyways another example of a dark, moody song I really liked recently is "6 inch" from Lemonade featuring The Weeknd. It's sexy, and dark and mysterious. I love it. I don't necessarily love the video, but the song is great. Whatever direction Mariah goes, I know I am repeating myself, but I hope she has a good budget for visuals and promotion. Say what you want, most people didn't just get into Lemonade on first listen, no matter what they say. Ya they might have liked one or two songs, but it took more listens to like the album as a whole. But what caused the main hype around it (aside from supposed Jay Z bashing, which was a stunt) was the visuals. It left people mesmerized. So since Mariah is already into her next album, I hope she really has a promo/visuals plan in mind if she wants it to get mainstream success. She has been listening to Lemonade, Rihanna's "Work" and The Weeknd, all of which has a moody, dark, mysterious vibe to it, so maybe that's the direction she is headed. I am glad she is actually listening to recent songs and not avoiding them like she did with MIAM. It's not a bad thing to draw inspiration from other artists. Although I understand why she must have not wanted to get influenced during MIAM because she wanted to tell her life story. But ya I am glad she is listening to other popular songs. I hope we get some good collaborations too. This will also probably push her out of her comfort zone.

Complex (64,725) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Mariah looks even better in the Complex magazine shoot behind the scenes footage. I really hope when it comes to her new album (which she apparently started working on mid May) and her new singles that she really puts in an effort to have videos like these which look high budget and has a strong theme. No more tacky green screen moments and sitting on a rain forest touching herself. How surprised will you guys be if this behind the scenes doubles up as a new single promo with the title "Eyes wide open"?

Leaked photos (64,716) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
In other news, I really wish Mariah's team would stop leaking pictures of her and James. That picture of James possibly groping Mariah's boobs was so unnecessary, it doesn't even look like there is chemistry, it looks either staged or that this is the first time James touched a woman and hence the surprised look on his face. We all know it came from the team. The pictures are pretty clear and there weren't many people present during that time.

Complex behind the scene video (64,714) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
This video is a behind the scenes of the complex shoot. Setting aside all the illuminati vibes and all that, I think the visuals are quite stunning and rich. It feels high budget and artsy. I hope her videos get better now that she seems to be confident in her own skin.

Weird parts (64,713) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
The bishop part was weird, I don't know why she had to say she said "bye" to him. It could be that she said it in one way, in print it looks different but I don't know. The kids going and starting to interrupt the interview was weird too, like why didn't Stella intervene? You don't just let kids in and sit there and talk to Mariah while she's working, that's rude and it's weird how they are like "you are my only friend", I know they were joking but seriously keep it professional. I see someone on UKMix, who I am 99% positive is also a member of MCA (not Travon) tried to drag our petition into this by say "the petition people must be looking dumb and nuts right about now". Of course no one replied to that particular individual, because (1) they are as disliked on that board as they are here (2) the article/shoot had nothing to do with the petition, this individual in question hardly ever makes sense so I am not surprised.

Re: Photos (64,707) (64,712) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I think they did take the theme from "Eyes Wide Shut", with all the masked men, and the big mansion and all. The lingerie and the semi exposed dancers could be implying the orgy about to happen haha. I really don't know. When I first saw the pictures, I thought it was an interesting concept, dark and mysterious, quite a clash from the girly and festive Mariah. I took it at face value. I hope that's what it is and that we are not going down Beyonce route.

Theme song (64,691) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Just so you all know, I'm voting for "Thirsty" to be the theme song of our reality show, because that's what we all are haha. Uh you "thirs-tay".

Re: Interesting but creepy looking article (64,686) (64,690) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Haha I get why it may come across as freaky. I guess I am just happy that now we finally have a theme dahlin'. I do have a problem with her otherwise gorgeous face being altered so much. The Cohen look was one of the best looks she had this year, so I will never understand the face change. But if you want to say more, you know I'll always encourage you haha, maybe coax you with a glass of that blush wine I did not know about.

Random thoughts (64,689) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
This is the photo which reminds me so much of her "Glitter" era face with a touch of "Rainbow" era. Actual photo of Mariah being inducted in the Illuminati organization. Photobomb level: Pro.

Complex magazine (64,677) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Here is the photo shoot for Complex Magazine. This is the shoot that she did right after her WWHL interview, the one we heard she did with her dancers. Scroll through the album to see the photos. Here is the link to the interview. I absolutely love the mysterious theme of the photo shoot. I think the setting is stunning, I just wish they didn't edit her face so much because this will cause people to think her body is photoshopped, when in reality she is about the same size in real life. I don't understand why the face was altered so much because she looked extremely beautiful that day when she was on WWHL. Anyways I am just glad she is doing more high quality photo shoots and not the messy ones. I forgot to add that her Clash magazine photos looks like a mix between her Glitter and Rainbow era face.

There is a blush wine? I assumed we are talking about the iconic Stella blush.

Re: Record over 40's (64,667) (64,670) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I don't understand people who say that Mariah shouldn't work with the current hot artists because people will say she is desperate. Who cares? If she gets a hit (not that she needs someone to get a hit) by joining teams with another hot artist then I say go for it. Once a single does well, it will pave the way for the rest of the singles to get attention and will also spark interest in the album. Most people think Mariah didn't release anything after Memoirs.

Re: Record over 40's (64,663) (64,668) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Yes but for that she needs to tone down her diva image and highlight herself as a singer-songwriter. That's what go Sia to the top. People respect Sia as a song-writer. Mariah needs to go to the basics if she wants to be taken seriously. Dripping in diamonds and touching herself in her videos won't get her a #1 no matter how good the song is. Then the other important thing is promo, promo, promo. All her recent projects had very bad promos. It's like her heart isn't in it. She needs to change that.

Lego Batman (64,665) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Did you guys see the Lego Batman trailer unveiled at SDCC? It possibly featured Mariah's Lego character. Here is the picture and she is likely going to play Mayor Marion Granger.

Welcome on board Shirley. We are like a big crazy family, you'll love it haha. Just try not take the fights personally, we disagree sometimes because we are passionate about our views and about Mariah.

B and Mike (64,655) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
B, after the fifth splash, the snap chats alone will break the internet haha. And you killed me with the finest lingerie and fishnets from the House of Carey and Bulochnikov. I am all about that life. Mike, I gave out such a terrible giggle after reading your post, I just can't. The blush is a necessity. We gotta blush ourselves up like our life depends on it and you best believe no beauty blenders will be allowed on the show.

Re: Good Lord (64,631) (64,636) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I think we should all just go ahead and get our own reality show, Lord knows it will be a hit. We have the drama, the emotions running wild, the rare moments when we all agree, the so-called conspiracies and what not. From Andrew and I fighting to me agreeing with him and then back to fighting. RJJ12, Licia, Mara and Marissa being the voice of reason. The constant fights between Travon and Andrew with misspelled names and what not only for them to agree just once which led to the million dollar "Are my conversations with Andrew and finally agreeing with him rubbing people the wrong way?" question that Travon asked (which came out of nowhere). Edward dropping truth bombs (he should really post more though, his messages are on point). Travon going from this sweet, positive Mariah lamb to suddenly claiming emotional abuse and then running to the "classier" UKMix where he continues to bad mouth this board. Me supposedly trying to get Stella fired so that I can move in to Mariah's closet. Last but definitely not the least, Eric going through all the messages (especially the big ones, now that we don't have a word limit) and approving messages while simultaneously keeping the Archives updated as well and occasionally giving us his opinions (by the way Eric, I can't thank you enough for keeping this board active and not selling it to Mariah). Mariah's World has nothing on MCA World. We should sell this show idea to E. We will dethrone the Kardashians as reality TV royalty in no time.
