MDJ had slowed down considerably from when she first married Nick and then when she was pregnant. Open, unmoderated forums get too nasty and mean obviously. But MDJ was good for the current news, pictures, print and radio interviews. They were good at what they do, just as MCA is great at what it does. I enjoy this messageboard and I also have taken extended breaks from it. I don't think anyone is obsessed by Stellar, but she does inject herself and her kids into the mix, so it will make for lively conversation both for or against. and people arguing about it. Lol. My last point about Stellar and reality show producers as villains was just to point out that if people think she is being discussed or vilified too much now on a Mariah fan site, just wait until the show hits the waves and therefore social media. Perhaps they want to stop Mariah from seeing it, but it won't stop anyone from speaking their mind on the net. And Mariah will probably take the worst of it when and if the show airs.

Here is an interesting article on Mona Scott Young, creator of the love and hip hop docu-series as it's called in Billboard. Lol she and Kris Kartrashian know the money making power of stunt tv. Lol.

Stellar is not ready (64,614)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|
|
Miss Stellar, misspelled intentionally, is not ready for the readings and draggings she will incur if Mariah's World does air. She really isn't ready at all. Reality show producers like Mona Scott Young and Shaunie Oneal, get the business all the time especially from so called "Black Twitter". They are jokingly or sarcastically called pimps, slave drivers, etc. Stellar was low key and silent with TI and Tiny's show, which is a cute show actually. She is a part of the new Gary Owen show, which I do intend to watch, but her high profile in relation to Mariah's World automatically makes her and her daughters targets. It is the nature of the beast and they seem to want it that way. They may become popular, I doubt they are the next Kartrashians, but it also may not go over very well at all. That is the risk everyone takes in participating in a reality show. People often react harshly to reality stunts, but at the same time lots of people love mess when, if it ever airs and if it takes off. But then, it could also flop.

I liked his song Earned It, but I wonder is he just a stepped up version of the Dream? Lol. I do think they could write a good song or two together. 1. I hope she doesn't do a duet with him. 2. So she doesn't do a video with him. Lol.

I think you are right, the truth will come to light. Despite Mariah's brother's negative intentions of a year or so ago, I think he was speaking truth about her inner circle. But I think she went from bad to worse and he has been quiet lately, so I wonder if he has been paid off to be silent. Perhaps he is waiting to see if she actually marries for a third time, so he can seek an even bigger pay day.

I agree. Lambs have been sorely lacking in unity the past several months. Whether people like Stellar and crew or not, we are all here for Mariah and the petition is a way to show support for her and just to say come back and communicate personally sometimes. Even the first lady personally tweets from time to time and she is identified by placing her own initials. There are so many polarizing topics that would have muddied the petition. As it is, it's a moment for fans to express love and concern for Mariah.

Vegas residency (64,581)
by RibbonB from USA

I took my little nephew to see Finding Dory today and one of the movie ads was Mariah singing Infinity and advertising her Vegas residency. It was good to see her. While I don't love the song Infinity, the intro music is excellent. I do think a more well known song would be a better ad for her #1's show though. Her 8 bar mellisma of Infinity just kills me lol.

Probably because people can get behind a petition to try to prevent a living legend from becoming a soap opera and shadow of herself. Stella and crew have taken things to a new low. I wouldn't waste my time on petty petitions about things people debate about from here to infinity.

I wont argue semantics with you, but let's just say I hope or wish that she would not stay and endure physical abuse or even emotional abuse at this time in her life, after two marriages, with children and all. I also wasn't writing about women, I was writing about Mariah. But most people have three choices when dealing with unacceptable things: edure, accept, allow (you pick the word) it, change it or leave it. You can add pray about it too if you'd like.

The shoulder shadow could be a bad spray tan apeopleication. There are definitely scars on her knee, but who knows how or why they happened. Physical abuse is a serious allegation and hopefully she is not that far gone, that she would allow something like that. her nephew tweeted that he will be on the boat for the next two weeks vacationing with them. He may be a yes man as someone said, but he'd have to be protective of her if something really bad was happening. Oh well, and the really sad part is after all this settles down we may have to be subjected to all the Vegas Shenanigans again with Flaky and Snuffles. Gonna be a long summer.

Re: Family values? (64,489) (64,492)

Perhaps you missed his strongly worded videos calling Mariah an evil witch and making various other claims. I hear he sells stories when he gets low on money. His having helped her in the past is open knowledge, but still doesn't entitle him to bully her into doing anything. Their father left all the siblings lots of money, except Mariah, who was already rich by then.

If he intended to talk to Mariah, I am sure he had other ways of doing it, rather than selling his story to the Enquirer. Mariah's nephew, Alison's own son, cleared that up on Twitter. Whatever he had to say to or about her could have been done in a more humane way, but no, he decided to grandstand and try to basically extort money out of her. What's not clear about that? If he is taking care of Alison, then cool, but he has no right to demand or bully anything from Mariah, who has helped both siblings many times over. IMO.

Whether she was embarrassed or not, his intentions were cruel and disgusting, which speaks to his lack of character and family values. Extortion is not a good thing. That does not speak of family love, but perhaps greed and jealousy. At least Mariah works hard for what she has and does, that does not entitle anyone else to have access to it.

Except when he is trying to publicly embarrass and harass his younger sister for money and sympathy. He and his wife probably get to chill and spend others' money, so he can afford to be relaxed. Lol.

Phony balogna (64,467)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|
|
Let's face it, Hollywood and entertainment is full of phonies and smoke and mirrors. Who knows who is real or fake. But Mariah is veering more toward the superficial and fake as of late. I think it's a mistake, but it is what it is and or what they pretend it is until it is something else. That's why I say if she was trying to keep it real, she would focus on writing good and authentic music and raising her kids. She is in high "entertainment" mode this year, but very low brow.
