About Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter:

Re: Um what? (63,838) (63,840) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Haha it's almost like Mariah was getting late and had to rush out, half way through she realized she forgot to put her dress on and she took off Stella's jacket and wore it over her lingerie. When she finally got inside the club, and the shots started flowing, she threw the jacket.

Re: Um what? (63,836) (63,837) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Where did I say she has to be a nun or cover herself up completely? There is dressing sexy if she wants, and then there is not dressing at all. If the Kardashians is the route she wants to take, then well I don't really have much to say. But are you suggesting Mariah needs to take off her clothes to get shows and TV offers? You don't think her talent is enough? Also how did this whole taking off clothes for attention work out for Madonna after she crossed her mid 40s? Not too well, since she became a joke. You enjoyed it, good for you. I didn't, that's my opinion.

Um what? (63,827) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I honestly don't know what Mariah was thinking when she decided to wear this for her 1OAK appearance. Moreover, once inside the club she opened up her jacket to reveal her full lingerie moment. I'm sorry but this is a little excess and unnecessary. I get it, she's feeling her body and she worked hard for it, but this is worse than tacky. I also get it's a club, but it's not a strip club. Wear a freaking micro mini if you want, but why show up in your lingerie? I guess now I can't make fun of Madonna showing up in places half naked and call her desperate.

JLo - Mariah (63,815) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
So remember how after Perez watched Mairah and JLo's show back to back on consecutive nights, he said he liked Mariah's show better overall? He said it looked more personal because of all the nostalgic videos, that it looked more big budget than JLo's and that Mariah really made it seem like she was really happy to be there, and even though Mariah can't dance, she is an amazing singer and she delivered a strong show. He said the JLo one was good too and he didn't leave unhappy but it looked small budget and not as detailed as Mariah's. So apparently JLo's team was not happy about it. They sent a stern message to Perez where they made it clear they were not happy with their comments. Probably fearing that Perez with his many listeners may influence people who would otherwise think that JLo's show would be more entertaining (with all the unnecessary bum shaking) to actually go to Mariah's show instead of JLo's. So now her team is pissed and apparently he was told JLo is not happy with it. Perez was even asked if it's because the venue of Jennifer's show that could have been a possible limitation but he said clearly that he watched Britney in the same venue and even Britney's one looked more big budget.

Re: Ty, B, Andrew and My All (63,772) (63,786) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
"Bad Video"? Dear Lord please take that line back. I checked your message from my phone and then had to open it from my laptop to see if I read your message correctly haha. "My All" is one of the greatest Mariah Carey videos ever. The visuals, the expressions, the vibe, the color scheme and lighting. It was perfect. I thought the video brilliantly captured the mood, depth and emotion of the song. The video managed to capture the deep dark emotional aspect of the song with it's gorgeous visuals. Every frame was perfect. Mariah looked absolutely beautiful and sexy (without even trying) and at the same time she looked so vulnerable throughout the song, especially on to the water. "My All" is hands down one of the best Mariah videos ever.

People stay pressed for no good reason. It's a celebratory party to celebrate another successful round of her Vegas show. It's not like Mariah is suddenly using her star power to become a full time DJ and kick out the real DJs. People need to chill.

This is my 100th post about this, and I'll like to ask this again. "Where the heck is the track Morales tweeted about working with Mariah on during the MIAM era?"

"Manaka" and "BryRiah" are the current ship names. And good lord, we have to talk about the ranking lists that happens every other week. Top 10 favorite 90s songs, top 10 songs where Mariah touches herself, top 10 songs where Mariah lip syncs in her music video. I kid you not, I actually saw a music video on YouTube of Mariah's and some dumb person road "well she's lip syncing". It wasn't even one of those "live" setting videos like "Hero" and IWKWLI but something like YME or some other song. So ya.

Re: Mariah on Mario Lopez (63,714) (63,715) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Mariah has been really concerned about her material being stolen. I'd rather have her not mention anything about her music or who she is collaborating with than for her to have a "on the bathroom floor" moment when someone steals her idea and releases it before her haha. I want her to suddenly slap a brand new album on my face when I least expected it. That way it's better since I was so sick of seeing constant "studio moments" photos during the MIAM era, don't get me wrong I love me some behind the scenes photos but what made it annoying was that the album kept getting pushed back and we just saw her recording and recording but we were getting zero info on the release of the album. Anyways Antonio, do you mind posting a link to the Mario Lopez interview if it's not a problem? I'd like to give it a listen. Thanks.

Article: Here's why Demi Lovato quit Twitter and Instagram (63,712) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Demi is so desperate for attention that she couldn't stay off social media for more than 24 hours. Then why even make a big deal of leaving social media when you have zero control over yourself. She seriously has some issues and for someone who claims to be all about women empowerment and anti-bullying she sure has a need for dissing other artists (especially female) for no good reason. She started with Taylor Swift this year and called her out for giving money to Kesha instead of tweeting about sexual abuse. Girl does not have the mental capability to understand that people help in different ways and Kesha needed the money since she had legal and other bills to pay and didn't have any recent project out to finance herself. Taylor could either tweet or help with money, she made her choice. Then Demi calls out Nicki Minaj for not tagging her on her instagram. How pathetic can you get? Why are you so bothered that Nicki didn't tag you? The post was about the designer, thanking and appreciating him. Why would Nicki bother tagging Demi? She was also constantly dissing Taylor when Selena left Demi and started hanging out with Taylor. Now she calls out Mariah over a meme, baseless crap. All these just makes it look like she is desperate for attention and will be dissing other people left and right herself but lecture people on women empowerment and anti-bullying. Demi stop contradicting yourself. You are a bully.

Official Show Photos (63,707) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Official show photos, finally got a good look at the white dress. Very cute and flirty. The Grammys 2006 tease. The closing number dress. The fierce "My All" dress.

Re: Demi (63,651) (63,657) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Haha that'll teach her not to mess with a legend. I blame Mariah for a lot of things and I stand by my views, but this was the most stupid thing someone could have done. Dragging someone over a meme they didn't create? Demi wasn't thinking straight clearly. The lambs, the general public and several publications and shows went in on her and she had to go into hiding.

Re: It's finally over (63,642) (63,646) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
That and also another thing would be that Nick is only relevant because of Mariah. He has a lot of jobs but nothing that makes him as significant as Mariah. He probably wanted to be attached to Mariah's brand because that got him exposure. Once Mariah moves on with James, he won't be attached to her brand as prominently so his fame will fade away too.

Re: Father's Day photos (63,622) (63,627) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I guess you are right. Regardless, I am glad to see them together. It looks like Mariah and Nick really are making an effort to be great co-parents. Mariah probably doesn't want the kids to miss out on having their dad around the way she did. It's sweet to see them all genuinely happy when they are together.

Chrissy (63,623) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Chrissy uploaded the video of her dancing to TMB on her own account and it got around 1.5 million views. I wish this was some other song of Mariah's (since TMB already went to #1) then we could have gotten it viral and it would boost Mariah's back catalogue more.

Father's Day photos (63,615) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
This and this were posted on Nick's instagram where they had a family get together for Father's day. In the captions Nick writes something about how people want them to stay bad so bad but Mariah and him are happier than ever and all. Slightly confusing when he rapped about being worried about his kids and how little time he gets with them, which could have portrayed Mariah in a bad light. But oh well, I'm happy to see them all together, happy and having fun.

Mariah with John and Chrissy. Chrissy jamming to TMB. Mariah is really feeling this bra haha, she seems to be wearing it every day. Lastly this was her final look of the day or night.

Re: Why does it matter? (63,583) (63,590) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I couldn't agree more. They tried to copy her style, her melodies and everything in between. Just because she has a big voice, they thought why not brand her as the next Mariah. Once it backfired, they had to distance herself. Thing is Ariana maybe one of the better singers of the current generation but her tone, her clarity, her enunciation is no way near what Mariah Carey has. Even if we compare 20 year old Mariah with 20 year old Ariana, there is a huge difference. From the very beginning Mariah had excellent control. Ariana can hit the whistle, but even close to the ease and fluidity with which Mariah can. Ariana's whistles comes across as a screeching noise, while Mariah's whistles have a beautiful melody, almost soothing. Moreover I have noticed Ariana can't hold on to her whistle, like Mariah does. Ariana's is just a short burst of screech and then she's done. I can appreciate Ariana's music now because she is trying to change up her sound but the girl is far from having her own distinct sound. She is stuck alternating between Mariah, Christina and Britney. I say Britney because she tries that sexy vocal fry situation, but it doesn't go well most of the time.

Re: The makeup (63,581) (63,589) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
While it is true that they do need to wear more makeup than usual for TV and stage, but Mariah's eye makeup is a mess. In the Sharon Osbourne interview, the recent E News interview and some of her other appearances. They try to do a smokey cat eye look on her and it just drags her eye upwards, making her naturally beautiful almond shaped eyes look slanted and ages her. She looks much better with a softer natural eye makeup, and less harsh contour. Exhibit A, B and C. These makeup looks are more flattering on her. The Kardashians, even though they are always caked up, are actually quite brilliant in makeup artistry. You will see they always focus on a flawless skin and perfect contour, but they hardly ever go for heavy eye makeup. Very rarely do any of them have really heavy eye make up. Mariah is naturally so beautiful, she doesn't need that much eye makeup. Just the basic amount of TV makeup.

Mariah and John (63,588) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
So John Legend was brought up on stage during TMB. Chrissy Teigen was also there. I don't know if Shawn's tweet is hinting at a collaboration between Mariah and John or the fact that he would be brought up on stage later that night.

Re: The Demi disturbance (63,524) (63,533) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
That's great and all but in this situation Mariah was not at fault. Ya her continuous disses at JLo are getting old but seriously you expect her fan base to keep quiet after Demi basically was lame enough to go and comment on a meme that was on a random page? Then drag Jennifer's name in it for more drama? No sorry, I will be the first one (maybe second since you will beat me to it) to call Mariah out for her silly behavior, but this wasn't going to go down without a response from Mariah's fans. Try saying one thing about Beyonce and see how her fans attack. It's not like lambs are the only ones who does that. This was just another case of Demi stirring the pot, trying to get drama from using another artists name because that's the only thing that gets her headlines nowadays. Taylor, Nicki, Selena have all been bullied by Demi for no good reason.
