Article: Mariah Carey's "Rainbow" gets remastered (106,651) by Scott from USA While I am excited to hear the remastered album and any unreleased material, I am not so sure that I agree with this article's assertion that "Mariah had invested quite a bit in this album". Rainbow was created quickly and in response to delays on the development of the Glitter film. Additionally, it completed her contract with Sony, which I think was Mariah's strongest motivation for putting an album out at the time. She wanted to close that chapter of her life. There are certainly some moments on Rainbow that I love - Heartbreaker is an instant classic, and songs like Petals and Ex-Girlfriend gave us some (somewhat uncharacteristically) autobiographical lyrics about Mariah's life at the time - but overall Rainbow feels to me like Mariah's most rushed work. That being said, it's fun, it's sexy, and it's perfect for Pride Month. (Thursday 13 June 2024; 15:20)

Article: Mariah Carey rocks Pittsburgh (104,451) by Scott from USA She did not sing O' Holy Night. I don't know what show this reviewer saw, but I was 5th row at Pittsburgh. Also, the rap during Here Comes Santa Claus was performed by her son Moroccan, which the reviewer fails to mention. (Thursday 7 December 2023; 21:03)

Article: Mariah Carey on sex, shade, and those epic memes (90,300) by Scott from USA Now, I love me some Mariah(isms), but girl, five people? I don't buy it. Not for a second. I can name more than that: Tommy Mottola Derek Jeter Damizza Luis Miguel Nick Cannon James Packer Bryan Tanaka I'm not saying that seven is a lot or anything. But I'm saying it's more than five. Article: Mariah Carey kicks off the Caution world tour (88,224) by Scott from USA I have tickets to see this show in Buffalo, NY on 3/23/19, and I can't wait. But I am disheartened to hear that she is not performing The Distance off of Caution. It's my favorite song on the album and was a single that she performed on TV. Additionally, I wish she would drop Fantasy from this setlist because she never performs the album version - it is always the remix - and it is consistently lipsynched. I feel like it's time to give that song a rest. Otherwise, this concert looks amazing. (Thursday 28 February 2019; 17:22)
