About Lara from Middle East: I discovered Mariah with "always be my baby"...Got hooked by "my all"..didnt know it was the same artist back then..I couldn't (yet) understand what she was singing! Since then, I've been a big fan and rediscovered her catalogue and appreciate her even more...Searching for her lyrics was my way to learn english :)

It's a wrap (113,966) by Lara from Middle East Her voice is seriously damaged from all these years, which is somehow expected. And her writing skills are nowhere where they're used to be, and that is probably from her medication literally blocking her brain. Most bipolar artists get creative during (hypo)mania episodes and the medication work on blocking those (among with the depressive ones). Mariah knows it but can't do anything about it, I guess that explains the lack of energy we see. Don't expect anything more from her, at this point I don't know if she's still enjoying making music with all her limitations. (Sunday 14 June 2026; 00:21)

MC 2017? (113,942) by Lara from Middle East I agree. She lost her spark. Her voice seems seriously damaged. When she does appearances she seems frozen, probably from her medications but she'll only leave us speculating. She likes to remind people she's a songwriter but imagine having a lyric insert like the old albums, Caution and HFIA wouldn't stand a candle to her previous works. Her attitude of ensemble and make up and all the glamour and glitz doesn't help, people want someone relatable. I miss her girl next door days, even the Honey and TEOM days she had that kind vibe that I cannot find in any recent video. Something drastically changed and she doesn't want to share it. Unless she was always that shallow silicone Barbie and was showed the other way at her beginnings? That is so hard to believe. MC 2017? (113,939) by Dave from USA For me, I have already lost my excitement for another MC album. At least for now. All the promotion in the world can't change the fact that she can't sing/perform. She comes off as zombie like in interviews now. Im guessing it could be maintenance medication for her disorder, which is completely understandable, but is it worth damaging her legacy further or getting a shell of what she used to be? The excitement always return the closer she gets to releasing new music, but as soon as I see her lackluster non live performance, it just ruins the momentum. (Wednesday 10 June 2026; 05:02)

Seems it affected her much more than what is shown, I think there are some parallels with Michael Jackson Pepsi incident and how it made him dependent on pain killers. Maybe that on top of her bipolar was a hard combo for her to handle. I think that's why I've always seen her singing "survived a gruesome fall" in Nothing is Impossible from HFIA album as a literal description of that 2013 incident. Her story is beautiful and fits. Don't laugh at me but in (I won't allow it) I don't know why but my brain sings "I won't entertain that part" instead of "I forgot to tell you that part". Saadiyat nights (113,213) by Lara from Middle East Well that was quick. But way different performance. She was relatively alive again. I guess the Olympic performance was really scary to her and made her completely tense, especially in the Italian song, because when she switched to her own song you could feel she was moving a bit more but since it was so short, she didn't have time to loosen up more. And thumbs up for giving at her age 2 performances in different countries in 2 consecutive nights. (Sunday 8 February 2026; 17:33)

Performance (113,187) by Lara from Middle East Olivia Dean, the Grammy winner for best new artist, has been grinding her way for 10 years. Among all new artists, I loved her. Also as most of new artists I don't think she's a vocal powerhouse, but she delivers. Which brings me to my next point: look at her Grammy performance, she's no dancer but she does move, her stylist is always on point, she has that "makes you smile" energy when performing and THAT was Mariah needs. Her voice might not be here anymore but there's a 1000 other ways to compensate other than bling bling accessories and designers custom gowns you're too afraid to break when moving. Mariah my girl you lost your peak voice but 10% of your voice puts you already above most current singers so don't let that kill your confidence. (Saturday 7 February 2026; 19:13)

My issue is she only focuses on her ensembles and forgets everything else. The ensemble isn't enough to distract people from how you're performing Mariah. Keep calm and let go on stage darling. MusiCare tribute (113,125) by Lara from Middle East I loved Kesha's performance, she managed to perform the song without trashing it and yet not copying MC. Charlie Puth is next , I just wish he used an original song of hers. John Legend's rendition of [Hero] was ok. Laufey was ok, that twist on the song is interesting but doesn't fit the kid of the song and also her voice was barely audible. Now that guy who sang ABMB should be banned from singing. Even bad karaoke singers could've done a better job. He sounded like a low imitation Prince and Jennifer Hudson, she came prepared even learning how to whistle with her lips, but girl you should've learned by now that less is more. No need for that much power on [My all]. Anyway I'm glad MC got a tribute but those performances could've been picked up better. The only rendition that I did not particularly like was Maggie Rogers' soulful version of Honey. She made Honey too soulful for me. She stripped the melody down way too much that I could not understand what she saying. I give her performance a 4 out of 10. (Saturday 31 January 2026; 10:14)

Timing is everything (113,006) by Lara from Middle East HIFA has so much potential but I think its timing was off and kinda rushed. I guess they wanted it out before TS takes over. Type Dangerous video seems rushed out, remember it was delayed because of editing? Sugar Sweet video never saw the light. Knowing that if she sang it with Kehlani alone it might've had more chance to get it done (easier to get together 2 people than 3), and she could've benefited from Kehlani recent success from her Folded single. If she had released it a bit before Christmas, get those 2 singles ready by release, and released Play This Song like last week just before Bruno Mars released his music, she also would've also benefited from the extra exposure Anderson .Paak got. I definitely feel she was rushed to it. Look at Bruno Mars, he posted one day before his album announcement and the day after released the single with the video ready. I'm no expert but I don't think that video costed more than TD, but it looks way more polished and constructed. He waited 10 years to release but released in control. It doesn't look like that for Mariah anymore sadly, maybe her condition doesn't allow it to control like she wants to. (Wednesday 14 January 2026; 07:42)

HFIA planning 2026 (112,713) by T from USA If her team were to capitalize on all this good news and help promote her new studio album now is the time. I would've had a video for In Your Feelings ready to drop on December 26th (the day after Christmas where she's totally everywhere), a cool looking video that is so attention grabbing people have no choice but to talk about it. Then a few days later she features the live performance on New Years Eve. Let IYF do it's thing all of January and then during the opening of the Olympics on February 5th she could do a live performance of Nothing Is Impossible, with a video ready to drop the next day on Friday February 6th. That way the year starts with the two big songs on HFIA. I know it would mean a little bit of work and money (film two videos) but if that doesn't spark life into the album then nothing would. She's in New York glam girl and in the Israeli apartheid age, has seriously dated a Zionist with connections to one of the most vile human rights violators of the current era. I know she sees herself as part of how people escape the "bleak" reality around them. She is also part of the problem as no one has the moral right to escape and encourage others to do so when the very act of always escaping is at least 75% of we (U.S. Americans) got here. Remember we mentioned before her last decent video was Obsessed? This definitely echoes it. Also I love how they got Mariah to the video and show that despite they were if ignorant about her she showed up and acknowledged them and not playing the petty person as media always paint her. She was sexy without overdoing it , the way she runs on the sand at then end effortlessly and carefree. You can see she was less self conscious. Her recent videos are just too calculated and missing that vibe.
