Carey frolics with dolphins in WA

Mariah Carey has taken time out of her busy schedule to get to know some of the local wildlife while in Perth on her world tour. Lapping up the spring sunshine, Carey posted happy snaps of her swimming with dolphins to Instagram today. "Singing to the dolphins Emotions David Cole remix," she captioned the photograph.

It is unknown whether Carey's twins four-year-old Moroccan and Monroe accompanied her to meet the mammals but they have accompanied her to WA. She shared some images of her and the kids celebrating Halloween in their Perth hotel at the weekend.

The American pop diva kicks off the Australian leg of her The Elusive Chanteuse Show world tour with a performance at Sandalford Wines in the Swan Valley tonight. Following unfavourable reviews for the start of the tour in Japan last month, where critics and fans alike slammed the singer for failing to hit many of her signature high notes, Carey has reportedly experienced poor ticket sales for the Australian leg.

However, as the tour has progressed throughout Asia, reviews have begun to turn in favour towards Carey, one of the world's biggest selling solo artists. Tonight's concert marks Carey's first show in Perth since her Butterfly world tour in 1998.
